  1. Good Morning, Everyone. Hope this finds you all well…💡🙋🏻‍♀️

💡So waiting for the power, before they could text their guests,
They’re feeling so much BETTER now, they’re done with the whole quest,
The house is finally ready, they can VERIFY it all,
    It’s time to enjoy their new home…tonight there’ll be a ball…
Their friends will all come over…in each room they’ll take a peak…
And our hosts made sure that all is done…so no one’s up s….s CREEK
The jokes will all be FUNNY, the food and drink will flow,
And this new house will make its mark as the cool place to go…
Tomorrow there’ll be talk about the lucky ones who went…
And others will regret they missed the best CURRENT EVENT! 💡

So, while the electrician had been there before, but had always BOLTed before the job was complete, we can see why the couple seems SHOCKed now that he’s finally done…Earlier, we overheard this… OHM owner to the electrician: ”WIRE you INSULATE”? His reply..”WATT’s it to you? It’s not like you were CHARGED for waiting. I’m CURRENTly under a lot of PRESSURE. So LIGHTen up..The job’ll get done. Trust me, I CONDUIT”. The OHM owner was SHOCKed!…He never thought the guy’d TURN ON him like that. I mean, you’d expect a person to CONDUCT himself in a better manner, right?….Boy, talk about a short FUSE…and the RESISTANCE! But, I guess now AWLS forgiven, because the couple seems ecSTATIC… Only I’m thinking maybe the electrician should consider changing his firms logo. That lightning bolt? All things considered? It just seems to STRIKE the wrong CORD…Anyway, here’s to hoping we hear some LIGHT-hearted, encouraging news today. I’m sticking with the POWER of prayer…Stay well, stay safe, stay OHM…💡🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🦗At first, the step that would always CREEK was amusingly FUNNY, but once they were able to VERIFY that there was a termite problem, they scrambled to BETTER this most CURRENT EVENT…🦗

🤷🏻‍♀️Assayers had to VERIFY that nothing there was FUNNY,
They gathered at the local CREEK…the weather it was sunny…
They toiled in the heat…but things were getting BETTER..
En masse they shed their jackets, and their scarfs and hats and sweaters..
The work they did commendable…all problems they’d prevent…
By being so pro-active, on top of each CURRENT EVENT…🤷🏻‍♀️

  3. Good morning. No problem with the words but was stymied at the cartoon answer. I drew a complete blank and me working in the electric field for years. Have to admit the answer was clever once I saw it. Until tomorrow stay well

  4. The anagrams were also an instant quick solve for me,but not so for the cartoon answer,as I was thinking venture for the first word rather than current. Now we’re under a winter weather advisory for tonight until tomorrow morning with a forecast of 5-8 inches of snow in central Illinois.I thought it was spring!

    • Good Morning, Professor. In answer to both you and Paul. I think if the answer “Current Event” didn’t automatically ring a bell as is, the key could then be found in the word READY being spoken twice in the dialogue. Any time we’re given a word more than once in the dialogue? Pay heed! Stands to reason it’s a hint. Ready:Current. Leaving Party…Event. Just a thought. And I saw your weather conditions on the news this morning. Unreal, I feel for you…Be careful out there, Prof. Be well, stay safe. 💡🙋🏻‍♀️

  5. Hi Everyone –
Once I thought of Event, it wasn’t too hard to find current.
Much enjoyed your electricity puns, Angela.

    • Good Morning, Caroline. Thank you. And I like how your means to an end is totally opposite my line of reasoning. Always more than one way to skin a cat! Be well, Caroline. Stay safe. 💡🙋🏻‍♀️

  6. Hi all – Wow, three double-letter tricks, plus an exception for the E’s in BETTER.
VERIFY took an extra look after first thinking of a classic Monty Python line, “but ah won’t pay mor’n a FIVYER ‘cause it ain’t worf it”.
Thought SHOCKING EVENT for the answer, but the letters quickly showed CURRENT.
I would definitely wait to post those invitations until the electrician says “We *have* turned the electricity on” and tested that everything’s Ok.

All good stuff Angela, but what made me laugh was “WIRE you INSULATE”; good one.

    Good wishes to everyone.

“You BETTER VERIFY the water quality before you splash across that CREEK, or your sneakers might smell FUNNY.”

  7. No problem with the anagrams but the cartoon was another story. Kept thinking of voltage but of course that didn’t work and current just did not occur to me. Oh well, it was a good challenge and tomorrow is another day. Have a good one all.
