Good morning. No problem with the words but the cartoon answer took some time to figure it out. Playing around with the two three letter words left me with the dreaded quotation. I got it but on a scale of 1-5 for the wow factor, I’d give it 1 at the most. Maybe I’m just to old or set in my ways to appreciate those kind of answers. Until tomorrow stay well.
Based on the POLL results, I was not alone trying to get “ESTEEM” after getting “RAN OUT” quickly. Has ESTEEM ever been used as a clue word?
This one stumped me good. I gave up and looked up answer. The quoted words are hard. My coffee and jumble are my favorite morning moments…..
Hi Everyone –
Though I did get the answer, I wasn’t certain it was right until I checked here. I enjoyed the drawing and dialogue, which were very spirited like yesterday. Of the clue words, method took me the longest.
Took me awhile. Very clever pun.
Like others, I got the anagrams without problem but the cartoon answer took some thought. Eventually I got it right but, like Caroline, wasn’t really sure it was correct until I looked up the answer.
I got legal for eagle which confused me.
Hi all – Another day I’m glad I don’t have to post the answers! METHOD took 5 or 6 jumbles and I never did see the answer.
Have a great day, everyone! I know Betty and I did yesterday watching the 49’ers!
“When the trial METHOD his hotshot “legal-EAGLE” used led to his conviction, he got even by having the courthouse TRUSTY slip a TOXIN into the lawyer’s coffee”.
Yes, indeed, Steve. I am very happy and keeping my fingers crossed for the Super Bowl.
the only answer i could come up with was “they supported him anyway”
or “they sued the police”… but those
The only answer I could come up with were “they supported him anyway”
but it just didn’t fit
Good Afternoon, Everyone. In honor of MLK Day, I spent the morning with the Little Ones reflecting on what it means to give back. If we don’t teach our children from when they’re little, we’re destined to repeat too many of the mistakes of the past. And that’s my “political” take on today’s theme! Have a great day, Everyone. Do good for one another! 🙋🏻♀️
🦅 He always felt that his TRUSTY METHOD of ignoring the TOXIN spew that others offered was what made him worthy to be an EAGLE Scout…and keeping with that sentiment allowed him to never RUN OUT OF ESTEEM…🦅
👫🏻 He was her TRUSTY sidekick, an EAGLE of a man,
She believed in his METHOD to do good each time you can…
No credence to the TOXIN ways that drag one to go down
A smile goes a long way…not so much wearing a frown…
She knew the road she chose was right to lead her to her dream
And it would never entertain she RUN OUT OF ESTEEM…👫🏻
20-20-20 and then the three e(s)in ESTEEM. Interesting!
The 20-20-20 threw me at first…I had to read it twice. Good observation, Chuck. 👏🏻🙋🏻♀️
On the first working day after New Year’s 17 years ago, I asked my boss if he had noticed the date (he hadn’t yet). It was 1/2/3.
I thought if the word is “quoted” it’s not an actual word?
It indicates a real word used humorously and incorrectly in place of the correct word (in this case “steam”), i.e. a pun.
METHOD was the word that slowed me, solve
was the part that defeated me. Too difficult and too clever for me on a Monday. Kudos to you guys, maybe tomorrow, till then
