FOR RINGO, REPLACING PETE BEST AS THE BEATLES’ DRUMMER – – –

ARM SAR DIT HMAE = MADE HIM ASTARR

Good Morning, Good Morning” 🥁🎶 YES, I’M GONNA BE A STARR 🎶🥁

🎶 What would you think if I SANG out of tune? Would you stand up and walk out on me? Lend me your ears and I’ll sing you a song…And I’ll try not to sing out of key…Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends, Mmm, I get high with a little help from my friends Mmm, gonna try with a little help from my friends…🎶 “With A Little Help From My Friends” – The Beatles (Ringo Starr on vocals) 1967

🥁 The year was 1962, It’s August and its hot,
I guess Pete’s not the Best there is, it opens up a spot…
With no DECEIT comes Ringo Starr, things were just meant to be,
The Beatles have their drummer, and the rest is history
HUMANE with many causes, till this day we hear his name,
In June he’s playing NY…and we still applaud his fame…
I’ve seen him sport a SCARF or two, a dapper man is he,
He stands out with his All Starr Band, his shows are great to see…
(So now I’ve got AROMA…and there’s no where I see fit
To liken it to Ringo…so I’ll just dispense with it…)
But I’ll end just by saying that his name’s known near and far
Who doesn’t love Sir Ringo…and all that MADE HIM A “STARR“🥁

I’ve Got a Feeling” that just about Everyone knows who RINGO is…And I’m hoping so…”Because” without knowing that his last name is STARR…one may find themselves asking “Tell Me Why” I cant solve this puzzle….and we definitely don’t want any “Crying, Waiting (and) Hoping” this early in the morning…

David’s given us no new words this Saturday, but we do have a repeat anagram in MOAAR, which is also our oldest entry today. Our newest? HUMANE…But immediately realizing that there’s “Something” way too familiar about it, I turned back a few pages, and sure enough, “Yes, It Is”. And since we’ve seen it just six days ago, I thought that maybe this was one of the words that David had spoken to us about in his video message last week. But considering that it takes about 5-6 weeks from puzzle submission to publication, I think the repeats he’s speaking of are still to be seen…Anyway, I’m leaning towards DECEIT striking a chord as the hardest solve this morning, since a few of the Early Birds needed “Help” with it, and I’ve heard Edict and Cited already being voiced within the past hour. But I don’t think you’ll be sounding off as loudly as you did “Yesterday” with Hoagie…Today I’m confident..”We Shall Work it Out” much easier…So, before this becomes a “Long and Winding Road”….”You Know What to Do” now…

Being big BEATLES fans, every “Now And Then” David and Jeff grace us with a Beatles-themed puzzle. And since we hadn’t seen one since November 10th,I was thinking to myself the other day that “It Won’t Be Long” now. You know, that we were due. And sure enough, here we are today...

It’s late 1962, and “A Day In The Life” of the Beatles. “There’s A Place”, the EMI Recording Studios, (that later became known as “Abbey Road” Studios), and I think that’s where we’ve gathered. Studio Room 2 to be exact. The Beatles, left to right…Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, George Harrison, and John Lennon, after parting ways with their original drummer, are doing their BEST to quell any lingering doubt that Ringo may have as to his becoming well known to the fans. Ringo, at first feeling that it was a case of “Can’t Buy Me Love”, is reassured that besides the fans now definitely knowing his name, (quoting George), it’s key to note that they’ve begun to “go crazy” (quoting Paul) over him also….John has no dialogue, but I think he’d say…”Have you MADE it? Trust me, there’s no “Maybe…I’m Amazed” myself”!…And “That Means A Lot” in the music industry…That acceptance MADE HIM A “STARR“! Nicely played, David!…Just “How Do You Do It” day after day?

So, Eye Candy. Usually I record the eye candy by studying our cartoon and asking of myself…”Ok, …”Tell Me What You See”…But unfortunately, the panel’s kind of STARKey today. We see our Fab Four, dressed in 60’s period-appropriate skinny ties. Ringo’s shadow is reflected against the wall. There’s three guitars and Ringo’s set of drums. And a white brick wall. But that’s about it…So all I can say is…There you have it, Folks, Done. And “From Me to You”…it’s “The End”… “I’ll Be Back” tomorrow, but in the meantime…Have a great day, Everyone…And “Do You Want to Know a Secret”?…”Maybe I Should Have Known Better” than to search for that Eye Candy…Better to just “Let It Be”…After all, the Beatles themselves are really “Every Little Thing”…🥁🙋🏻‍♀️

  1. 💉Walking past the poster of the movie that MADE HIM A STAR, he tightened the SCARF around his neck, and felt some comfort from the AROMA of the chicken soup boiling on the stove…but he couldn’t help thinking what a curse this flu is on all that’s HUMANE, and wondered if there was DECEIT involved with the shot he received…💉🙋🏻‍♀️

🧣Intending never to DECEIT, she walked into the store,
The guilt she felt about the SCARF..at her conscious it tore…
AROMA of the finest wool arose from on the shelves,
She wondered how thieves went thru life unashamed of themselves…
She told the owner what she’d done, and the scarf she returned,
So nervous and embarrassed, she could feel how her cheeks burned
He took it from her gently, with kindness hard to feign,
And told her he forgave her…and she felt him so HUMANE…
He even offered her a job…how nice some people are…
And things like this are testament to what MADE HIM A STAR🧣🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. Good morning. My choice for hardest word is Deceit. I decided to look it up and get on to other things. The cartoon answer was a cinch. Until tomorrow stay well.

  3. Another vote for deceit that looked like edict at first. We had an ice storm overnight ,so I didn’t think the newspapers would make it into town, let alone to my house.Low and behold,I heard my newspaper lady pull into my driveway at 6:45 ,get out of her car onto my icy driveway, and put the papers inside the storm door,as is her daily method of delivery.I emailed her and thanked her and told her,she is the BEST.

  4. Hi all – Wow, David wasn’t kidding when he said we might see words come around sooner than expected! (HUMANE) 😂
The moon hit my eye like a big pizza pie and I saw AMORE, but soon saw arrivederci AROMA. Then got stuck on EDICT and it took several jumbles to see DECEIT. Figured that ‘HIM A’ was in the answer, but had to write the letters to get the rest.

Have a great day, everyone; take care in the path of the storms around Chicago and elsewhere.

Wonderful writeup today Angela, especially with the slightly less heard titles; you certainly don’t need any “HELP!” I’ve always loved “Every Little Thing”, and I have a real soft spot for “Yes, It Is”.
Since you mention that we’re at Abbey Road, I’ll post this clip of Paul there in front of a live audience telling stories and showing how some of the songs were created, including the synthesizer part at the beginning of “Strawberry Fields Forever”:

“The AROMA of polyester around the new SCARF showed that there was no DECEIT in the claim that it was made in a HUMANE fashion”.

I found a great phrase while reading the BBC last night, and it’s not a half-bad tongue twister either – “Big Ben Brexit Bongs”! 😂 (£45,000 per bong!)

    • Hey Steve,,,Tks. It was fun, although I had to re-program my thoughts once or twice to get a few of the titles in. As for Humane, it’s not the first time we’ve had a word repeated within a 6-day stretch. I’m wondering if I made note of it, besides mentioning it in that days post. If I get a chance, I’ll check. I think it was on a Sunday. But…Big Ben…SMH…All that money…talk about a Reality Check! 😉 Have a good one, while we here on the East Coast STRUM up the strength to batten down the hatches! 🥁🙋🏻‍♀️

ONO in the voting box – too funny.

    • Hi Caroline…Definitely a fun puzzle today! Have a great day, and I hope you don’t get hit too badly with the snow…🥁🙋🏻‍♀️

        • It snowed pretty steadily for a while, and completely blanketed everything…streets, sidewalks cars…then stopped..But it’s started up again now…Whether or not we’re in for the long haul, I don’t know…I stopped listening! I think we’re slated for up to 3 inches…I just worry about the ice and the winds, because of all the trees. Stay warm and safe Caroline…and get out the hot chocolate! ❄️☕️🙋🏻‍♀️
