🎁🎈🎂HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DAVID L. HOYT!!!🎂🎈🎁
Happy Monday, everyone! A quick solve to start the week is never a bad thing. Sometimes it helps you build back up some of the confidence you may have lost after a tough week of solves. A boost of encouragement is often all we need to make our day a little brighter and put us in a really good mood.
Apparently COMPLY is a new clue word being played today. It sounded familiar to me, but my research proved otherwise. The remaining three were all old friends from the past couple of years. All of the anagrams were new but they gave themselves up rather quickly. After all was said and done, I’d choose COMPLY as today’s most stubborn solution.
Warm weather, green grass and spending time outside were all part of today’s cartoon, but after last nights snowstorm they’re things that I won’t see again until next year. 6+ inches of the white stuff has fallen so far with another 4-6″ expected later this afternoon. It does make it start to feel like Christmas though!
This must be a dog park if those pups are off their leashes. The shadowy man in the back has one on his pooch as they take a stroll though. My favorite part of the panel was the action of the dogs jumping up to greet the incoming projectile. The ears on the left dog are sticking up and made him appear as though he was closer to the ball. If you look at the tips of their noses it’s actually a much tighter race. I liked the action lines of the man throwing the ball. You can easily see that he put it behind his head before tossing it.
The final solve was an anagram consisting of 10-letters. I saw UP straight away while GRABS and FOR took a couple of extra seconds to extract. No troubles at all! Have a marvelous Monday, and I’ll see you right back here tomorrow!
