Good afternoon and Happy New Year!  It was a late night so I apologize for the delay in providing the solution.  HUBCAP was the only word I had trouble with.  My wife was able to figure it out and she gave me the first letter.  After that it came to me in a split second.  The cartoon answer had so many letters but I didn’t find it terribly difficult.  I assumed THE was in there so I crossed it out.  By reading the dialogue, I started thinking about words involving waitressing and the daughter being hungry.  FOOD came quickly and the rest was a piece of cake.  My newspaper won’t be printed tomorrow so feel free to post the words and solution under the comments.  Any way you can help would be appreciated.  Have a wonderful day!  🙂
