Good afternoon and Happy New Year! It was a late night so I apologize for the delay in providing the solution. HUBCAP was the only word I had trouble with. My wife was able to figure it out and she gave me the first letter. After that it came to me in a split second. The cartoon answer had so many letters but I didn’t find it terribly difficult. I assumed THE was in there so I crossed it out. By reading the dialogue, I started thinking about words involving waitressing and the daughter being hungry. FOOD came quickly and the rest was a piece of cake. My newspaper won’t be printed tomorrow so feel free to post the words and solution under the comments. Any way you can help would be appreciated. Have a wonderful day! 🙂

Rather than telling you how hard a time I had with hubcap, I am just going to say that I cannot begin to tell you how relieved I was to see and read your cheerful words today because my busy brain had dreamed up some unpleasant circumstances. Happy New Year to you and your precious family!!!!!
Thank you for thinking of me, Lelia! My wife is on vacation this week so I took the morning off. I’ll be back tomorrow as my friend Geraldo is going to email me the puzzle. 🙂
I got the answer right off so worked backwards and still struggled with hubcap even though I knew what letters I needed. I dowloaded the Jumble App and love it. Thanks for the tip. Happy New Year!
You’re welcome, Betty! Happy New Year and enjoy! 😀
Took forever for all the words. Hubcap was the last one. Had it down on paper as cap and hub and still it didn’t hit me for quite awhile. The answer was solved in under a minute by my daughter-in-law. I got tired of racking my brain and asked her for help.
The sheer amount of clue letters is what slowed me down on the cartoon answer. Have a great night Paul. See you tomorrow! 🙂
