LEEGA = EAGLE

POMOH = OOMPH

BLINEB = NIBBLE

SPYMIK = SKIMPY

CARTOON ANSWER:

ELEOHNLSP = “SELL” PHONE

Good morning everyone!  Yesterday’s puzzle was a bit trickier than I expected, so let’s see what we have today.  OOMPH was the rotten apple this morning.  I know we’ve seen it recently, but it took a few extra seconds for it to come to me.  The cartoon was excellent as usual and the agent was in the likeness of Ty Burrell from ABC’S Modern Family show.  I haven’t watched it in years and thought it was off the air until I did a quick google search and found out it’s currently in it’s 8th season!  To get the answer I thought of words that describe real estate agents and SELL was what came into view.  PHONE came seconds later for a smooth finish and a stinky pun!  Have a fantastic Tuesday and I’ll see you tomorrow.  😀

CFOLK = FLOCK

UNVEE = VENUE

SENLOS = LESSON

GLIBRE = GERBIL

CARTOON ANSWER:

FVEESSERL = SELF-SERVE

Good morning everyone and happy Monday!  I hope you all had a relaxing weekend.  The clue word choices were very well jumbled this morning.  I spent the most time on LESSON followed by GERBIL.  With both of them solved I headed for the cartoon.  I was thrown off a bit by the “please help yourself” sign on the bucket.  I initially thought the answer was going to be “free-serve” so I crossed out free in my letters but was left with “vssel”.  When that didn’t work, I crossed out SERVE and was left with SELF to finish the puzzle.  Take care and I’ll see you tomorrow.  😄

CARTOON ANSWER:

Good afternoon my friends!  I didn’t have any trouble with the clue words today.  They all came to me pretty quickly so it was straight to the cartoon.  After seeing the man on the scale I found WEIGHING first and the rest was history!  I noticed that Jeff had the man wearing a Flash t-shirt and it was a nice touch.  It’s stick season in my neck of the woods and I’ve got lots of leaves to clean up before the Patriots play at 4:30.  I’ll see you bright and early tomorrow morning.  😀

DORWL = WORLD

NUSYN = SUNNY

TICATN = INTACT

GILGEG = GIGGLE

CARTOON ANSWER:

ORDUNNINAGIGG = GAINING GROUND

So how’s your weekend going?  Yesterday’s puzzle sure was tough so let’s see what we’re getting into today.  INTACT was the word that slowed me down this morning.  After my short delay, it was straight to the cartoon.  The first thing I noticed was that there were a ton of letters and our old friend “-ING” made an appearance.  I found GROUND first, and then GAINING for a swift finish.  Did you notice some print on the man’s hat?  I think it says “Family Tree” with a tree in the middle.  I really enjoy the little details that Mr. Knurek slips in — they really add a finishing touch to an otherwise perfect drawing.  If you have any big plans for this weekend be sure and share what they are.  Be well and I’ll see you tomorrow!  😀

CEOIXT = EXOTIC

VERIEV = REVIVE

CARTOON ANSWER:

SARUNXOTEIE = “EX-TRAIN-EOUS”

Good morning everyone and happy Friday!  I’m sorry for the delay in providing the answer to today’s puzzle.  My routine was off with the kids not having school and picking up after the Category 3 Turkey Tornado that struck my house!  All is pretty much back in order so let’s get to the puzzle.  I solved the first 3 clue words without a hitch.  After pausing on the fourth for a minute, I finally solved it.  The cartoon was where all of the trouble was.  The letters were well jumbled and just finding a word to start with was a challenge.  The only 5 letter word I could find was TRAIN.  It seemed to fit with the theme of the puzzle so I stuck with it.  That left SUXOEE and I was sure that I had one of my clue words wrong or omitted a letter so I double checked my work.  Feeling confident with what I had produced, I worked with what I had and finally decided on EX leaving SUOE.  At that point I read EX-TRAIN aloud and figured out it was a pun of extraneous.  What a brain buster and genius work by Mr. Hoyt — I tip my hat to you this morning.  Take care and I’ll see you tomorrow!  😀

WRONC = CROWN

FARET = AFTER

NERYTD = TRENDY

GAROFE = FORAGE

CARTOON ANSWER:

CRARTEA = RAT RACE

Good morning everyone and happy Wednesday!  We’re one day away from Thanksgiving and you probably have a ton of prep work to do so lets get right to the puzzle.  TRENDY probably would have stumped me but we saw it not long ago.  It’s funny how I saw “nerd” and immediately remembered what the word was.  If there was a challenging clue word today it was FORAGE.  It didn’t take long to figure it out though.  With the cartoon having only seven letters, it was a quick solve and I had some extra time to enjoy the detail within it.  As I’ve mentioned before, I put on a large Thanksgiving meal and have many relatives coming.  Be sure to brine your turkey if you want the juiciest bird!  It may take some extra time but my guests always rave about how good it is.  I simmered my brine last night and Mr. Tom is ready to take the plunge in just a few short minutes.  Be sure to leave a comment and I’ll see you tomorrow to break down the Thanksgiving themed Jumble!  All my best.  😀

TAHEW = WHEAT

IGNIC = ICING

MISWOD = WISDOM

LETHME = HELMET

CARTOON ANSWER:

HATIIWDELT = DEAL WITH IT

Well it’s another Monday morning my friends so that must mean it’s time for another week of Jumble fun!  My newspaper wasn’t delivered this morning so my day is off to a slow start.  I like to keep a positive mindset though so I hope the delivery driver is ok and didn’t have any car issues.  WISDOM was the clue word that gave me trouble this morning.  For some reason I kept trying to find a word that ended in -OW.  After I solved it, I went straight to the cartoon.  I noticed that Jeff put himself in the puzzle along with his doppelgänger.  Perhaps he has a twin brother with a slightly different hairstyle?  The solution was an easy one as I found WITH first followed by DEAL and IT.  I’m really looking forward to a Thanksgiving themed Jumble on Thursday and perhaps a holiday theme on Friday?  For the working folks out there I hope you have a short work week so you can prepare a Turkey dinner or travel safely.  Let me know what you have for plans in the comments section and I’ll see you tomorrow.  😀

Happy Sunday everyone!  With Guest Jumbler week over, it’s great to see the artistic talents of Mr. Knurek back on display.  I managed to get four of the six clue words right away.  I stumbled on NATIVE and ENGAGE but they weren’t too hard to solve after staring at them for a minute.  With all of them solved it was full steam ahead to the cartoon.  This cartoon was really well drawn and I enjoyed the fact that we were looking down at the table from the lightbulbs perspective — so unique!  The answer was not overly difficult as I found AGAIN twice and the rest was history.  Enjoy your day and I’ll see you bright and early tomorrow morning!  😀

GLAINTSHIPSTRE = SPLITTING “HARES”

Good Saturday morning everyone!  It’s day #6 of Guest Jumbler Week and today we welcome Dave Blazek, the creator of LOOSE PARTS.  The clue words were well jumbled today and only the fourth one slowed me down.  I saw “set” and tried to make a word with that.  When I finally figured it out I was surprised to see STEREO had caused me so much trouble!  With all the clue words solved it was straight to the cartoon.  I have a feeling that quite a few of you will have trouble with the solution and I’ll tell you I did as well.  I wrote down so many words trying to find something to start with. After I found SPLIT the rest fell into place pretty smoothly.  It sure was a tough one but very satisfying to complete.  Have a fantastic day and be sure to leave a comment.  Until tomorrow, my friends!  🙂

CARTOON ANSWER:

PAEROPWN = POWER NAP

Good morning everyone and TGIF!  Here we are already at day #5 of Guest Jumbler Week.  Artist Eric Reaves of HI AND LOIS joins us today so lets see what he brought.  I managed to get the first three clue words quickly but WALNUT proved to be the tricky one.  After staring at it for a bit, I found nut and put the rest together.  Moving on to the cartoon, I couldn’t help but laugh at the solar powered flower as I have the same exact one.  I found it at a dollar store and it sits on my window sill in the spring.  The cartoon had plenty of detail and was no problem to solve.  The cartoon depicting the baby sleeping led me right to NAP and POWER jumped right out at me.  Have a wonderful weekend and I’ll see you in the morning.  😀

CARTOON ANSWER:

Good morning everyone!  Today is day #4 of Guest Jumbler Week so let’s get right down to business.  The clue word choices were great as usual.  We’ve seen KHAKI many times in the past but FINALE appeared to be a new one.  With all the clue words solved in a timely fashion, it was on to the cartoon.  It was brought to us by Terri Libenson, the creator of PAJAMA DIARIES.  The letter layout was cryptic but not enough to trip up this seasoned jumbler.  BAKED jumped out at me after a moment of looking at the letters and HALF was right there for a satisfying finish.  Be sure to check out the PAJAMA DIARIES website at http://www.pajamadiaries.com and I’ll see you tomorrow.  All my best!  😀

CARTOON ANSWER:

SWTWIRNOKANG = WASN’T WORKING

Good morning everyone and happy Wednesday!  Today is day #3 of Guest Jumbler Week.  Rich Powell gave us a very difficult puzzle yesterday, so let’s see what Steve Kelley and Jeff Parker have in store for us today.  I managed to get three out of the four clue words immediately.  TANGLE took an extra moment but wasn’t any trouble at all.  With all the clue words solved, it was on to the DUSTIN cartoon.  I wasn’t able to make out any of the words just by looking at the letters.  By reading the cartoon, there was a contraction in the answer so that made the list of possible words very limited. It didn’t take long for me to find WASN’T and WORKING was right there for the finish to another wonderful puzzle!  I really enjoy the DUSTIN strip and now I want to read more of it.  Take care and I’ll see you tomorrow!  😊
