Good Morning, Everyone! Β  Β  Β  Β  πŸ”ͺWHERE’S THE BEEF? πŸ”ͺ

🎢 She said “I’ve had burgers well done and rare..Now I’ve got one that ain’t even there”..She got no response from ringing the bell…And that’s when she started to yell…”Where’s the BEEF…Where’s the BEEF? Where’s the BEEF“?🎢 –Β  “Where’s the Beef”? Coyote McCloud and Clara Peller 1984Β  https://tinyurl.com/y8zpbxob

πŸ”ͺ It’s not like there’s a BYLAW saying you must marinate,
Depending on your taste buds…it’s a choice that’s left to fate.
I’ve never tasted Jerky, I’ve no desire to…
The look alone, not to my taste…not TULIP-like imbued…
I guess it’s like a CIRCUS, different things appeal to some,
The animals, the trapeze acts…the reasons people come…
I’m know there’s Jerky fans out there, the heads NODDED agree,
And I’m not passing judgement…it just never interested me.
I’m big on Beef, I’m never one a good steak to pass by…
But I’m unlike our couple here…I don’t do CUT-AND-DRY! πŸ”ͺ

Once again today, it seems we have a new entry in Jumble play: NODDED. Our other three words BYLAW, CIRCUS, and TULIP, have appeared in 2016, 17, and 18, respectively. And except for a slight tic at CIRCUS, none of the words posed any problems…

Unfortunately, I’m having a little problem with a new Website format this morning, so I’m going to CUT to the chase…We see a couple, dressed in Cincinnati Reds Jerseys, planning to make BEEF JERKY. The woman, reading from a cook book, is telling the man it’s simple…Slice, season, and place on the racks. The man, wearing a Red’s cap, mentions that it’s straightforward…Between them, the big clue…It’s CUT AND DRY. Beef Jerky is lean meat that’s been CUT into strips and DRIED.. https://tinyurl.com/yb9ywfm7 Β Good one, David..Looks like you CUT right to the chase too!

The eye candy…The view from the window…A snow covered housetop, snow drifts, and icy ground. There’s a shoveled path shown leading into the couple’s house..Nice detail, Jeff. The knife, in the man’s left hand, (Nicer detail, Jeff! A Southpaw)! with little ^^^ marks, denoting its’ sharpness…To the right of the slab of meat, the DRYING RACK. And on the counter, a bottle of Worcestershire Sauce. It reads: LEA…and there’s a capital P...It’s not exactly spelt out…but you get the DRIFT…At least it doesn’t say Jumble! So, There you have it Folks, Done! Have a great day, Everyone! Let’s hope we stay DRY! Β πŸ”ͺπŸ™‹πŸ»

  1. Goodbye morning. Another day of having to wear my thinking cap. The first and last words were automatic reads with the second and third word,I had to play around with the letters. After 5 minutes Bylaw appeared and had me shaking my head as to why it took so long. I finally got Circus because I had an instant solve on the cartoon and knew I needed a C and R. Another word I should have gotten right away. I’ll blame it on not having coffe or breakfast yet. Thanks for the early post. Until tomorrow stay well.

    • Hi Brooklyn….Good Morning…Yes, the solution was a given. And 4 of my Early Birds paused at CIRCUS too…The post was early, but the email went out bare bones…I had some frustrating tech problems. I went back three times and added in the song and the poem and the rest of the eye candy…The music choice? I remember the commercial, but not this song..I’m curious if anyone else does…Have a good one, Brooklyn. Stay warm…πŸ”ͺπŸ™‹πŸ»

    • Hi Kirk…Good Morning. I don’t believe I’ve had the pleasure. Nice to meet you…Ok, here you’ve gotten me over a barrel…One, I had to go back and magnify the cartoon again…And you’re right…the woman’s jersey appears to be displaying the top half of an H, not a 4 as I thought. The opening atop the #4 is longer compared to the opening on the H. And two…I’m a city girl, born and bred for generations…I wouldn’t know from 4-H if it hit me in the head! πŸ˜‚ So, I definitely missed the cleverness of the connection! And I just googled it, so I now see that Beef Jerky is popular at 4-H MEATS! MOO knew? Thanks so much for pointing it out, Kirk! ..Left to my own devices,,,I’d have left everyone hanging High and DRY! Here’s to you, Sir, 🍷 and your Eagle Eye! And speaking of, it would have made great Eye Candy! πŸ„πŸ™‹πŸ»

  2. As you know, I’m not the one coloring my art. Those should be Green Bay Packer fans. There’s a lot more beef jerky being made in Wisconsin than in Ohio. And those number 4’s on the jerseys are for their patron saint, Brett Favre.

    • Good Morning, Jeff. Yes, I know all too well…This really explains a lot. I did so much googling at 3 o’clock this morning..I looked for Beef Jerky (which if you see my poem, explains a lot more)! I looked for Jerky in Ohio. I looked for the significance of #4 in relation to the Bengals and the Reds, and then with both of them in relation to the Jerky. I was spinning my wheels…(Thank God I didn’t think 4-H…Who knows where that would have taken me)!…And then to add to all the fun, a new format on the web-site ate my post…So I sat here craving a hamburger, and thinking…%^€£’Β₯%! And then I decided to just throw in the towel. And yes, now on “another” closer look, it is more a G than a C…(I seriously think I should put in for combat pay). Only thing, you saying Wisconsin takes the Blue Ribbon over Ohio for Jerky production? I’ll have to take your word for it…because there’s NO WAY in Toledo that I’m googling that for confirmation! πŸ˜‚ Here’s a thought…How about attaching a color-key to your drawings? You know like the ones we give the kids!…All the 1’s are red, the 2’s are blue, etc. It can’t hurt…(And it would do so much to keep me off the Valium, you know)? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Thanks for the clarification, Jeff. Hang in there, Hoosier..and here’s to you and Brett 🍷May you both akways go long! πŸ„πŸ™‹πŸ»

  3. You are my go to source for jumble answers so I thought, maybe, you could help me.
Normally i use the Arkansas Democrat Gazette for Monday thru Saturday jumbles and PostStar for Sunday but, recently, PostStar seems to have stopped updating. Could you clue me in on the best source for the jumble 7 days a week. Even just a source for Sunday’s jumble would be a big help.
Btw, thanks again for awarding me the prize back in March. My family and I have had a lot of fun playing.

  4. Hi Everyone –
I needed to back into both BYLAW and CIRCUS. At first I thought bawly might be a word, but it’s not, though I learned there is a fishing boat called bawley and a Bawley Point in Australia (Australia week).

    • Good Morning, Caroline! LOL! I just told Jeff that there’s way too much research going on here, right? It’s like being back in school! πŸ˜‚ Wishing you a good one, Caroline! Enjoy! πŸ”ͺπŸ™‹πŸ»

    • Good Mornng, Clay. I had trouble posting this morning, so I did it in segments….So funny, because I went back in and added this exact clip to my post! The original email that I sent out was missing the poem, the musical video, and the more detailed eye candy. Unfortunately, we can only send one email, a second one would show up separately, so I just edited the post. Thanks tho, shows we think alike! (I sympathize with you)! πŸ˜‚ Have a good one, Clay! πŸ”ͺπŸ™‹πŸ»

    • Good Morning, Professor. It seems like everyone’s working backwards from the answer…which is a cute one. Heat wave? LOL! πŸ˜‚ Same prediction here..rising temps, with rain..Strangest weather, right? Have a good one, Prof! πŸ”ͺπŸ™‹πŸ»

  6. Hi all – A second look showed that β€˜Y’ wasn’t at the end of BYLAW, then I had to jumble twice to get CIRCUS. Good thing the answer was obvious, because I had a mental block on NODDED, which of course looked perfectly obvious after I had the correct letters.

Nothing much to add to the puzzle today, so I’ll just wish you all a great day and better warmer weather!

    • Hey G…Good Morning, again..It seems like the words are not all givens today, as I thought they might be…but we all agree on the answer….a gift. And Tks..yes, it has warmed up…we hit 24Β°..a heat wave as the Professor would say! Have a good one, G! πŸ”ͺπŸ™‹πŸ»
