Jumble Answers for 03/18/2018

Good Morning, Everyone!       🚧  DO YOU HAVE THIS IN A MEDIAN?  🚧

🎶 Then throw me…Smack dab in the MIDDLE…Oh, I want to be smack dab in the MIDDLE…Ahhhhh, now boys you can see why I want to be smack dab in the MIDDLE now…So I can rock and roll to satisfy my soul🎶

🚧 Soon as looking at the puzzle, the answer came to me
So obvious the median the clue to what would be…
I didn’t wiggle WAGGLE, attention not DIVERT
Maybe it would be HARDER if I didn’t see the dirt.
The brick and sod seem NORMAL, cause right now I’m in the midst
Of renovating property and sod is on the list
I feel there’s always something new I find to NOTIFY
The person that I’ve hired for the job…this poor nice guy
I’ve changed my mind so many times his patience I am sure
Must wear thin, as I’m now blending the outside with INDOOR…
I think I’ve finally gotten it, I’ve designed my abode
And rest assured no one will say it’s MIDDLE OF THE ROAD! 🚧

I don’t think any of today’s words are deal BREAKers, but if I had to SPLIT them up, I guess I’d choose NOTIFY and DIVERT as the HARDER words. I could be wrong, you may have chosen others…You know, the GRASS is always GREENer, etc. All in all, great anagrams for a Sunday. Ok, our cartoon…Today, Jeff’s DRIVEN us to the BOULEVARD of BROKEN SEAMS, as a MEDIAN is being installed. Nothing earth SHATTERing, just your run of the mill MEDIAN. The dialogue tells us that the male architect, BRICK, is ruminating over the lack of money for some landscaping. The female architect, Rhoda, who goes by the nickname ROADIE, we see was happy enough to draw the LINE at SOD. So, it won’t TURN OUT to be a work of art, but it’ll do its PART. Anyway, our question asks..What the MEDIAN was..It was just..MIDDLEOF THE ROAD! And that’s the LONG and SHORT of it, Folks! Good one, David! ROCK SOLID. Ok, the eye candy…Hmm..not much here to PAVE the way…A few buildings, some TRAFFIC CONES, a WHEELBARROW of sod, some TRAFFIC lights, the workman, laying the sod….I think I’ll just overRIDE the candy today…yea, I’ll PASS. So, There you gave it Folks, Done! Have a great day, Everyone. And take nothing for GRANITE…🚧🙋🏻

  1. Tough Sunday Jumble. NOTI FY took a few, and so did Solution., but finally solved it. Stay warm and have a good day.

    • Good Morning, Big Guy. DROVE you a little crazy, huh? As LONG as you got it done…Have a good one, Caro! 🚧 🙋🏻

  2. Morning, all –
NOTIFY was the one CW I had to jumble on paper. I assumed THE was the 3-letter word and spotted ROAD, which enabled me to unscramble the rest. Kudos to David and Angela for their clever work.

    • Good Morning, Caroline…DRIVING home this morning, I brought the puzzle up on my phone. First I tic-ed, then I blinked, and finally I squinted…Then I saw NOTIFY. I agree with you and Moose…TerriFic anagram..I think it’s that letter “F”! I can’t thank you enough for your Kudo. ❤️ I’m beSOD myself! Hoping you have a wonderful day…🚧🙋🏻

  3. Good morning. Today’s show on CBS from 9:00 -10:30 regarding “Mind Matters”must have worked on me. Because I went straight down the line on all the words but had a slight pause on the last one. When the show was over and by the way very interesting,I looked at the cartoon for a second time and the answer jumped out at me. Crossing out the letters I put down confirmed my brilliance. We have had great puzzles all week. Jeff has left no doubt he rates with the best. Angela, Heck of a job. I crossed off the words and you got them all in. I was checking to see if you forgot one. I won’t even attempt to try. Until tomorrow stay well.

    • Good Morning, Brooklyn! Kudos to you and that amazing MIND of yours! I agree, this was a great week for puzzles. Just an FYI though…Not looking to SPLIT hairs, but Jeff does the fabulous art work that we enjoy each day. David is the man who LAYS THE FOUNDATION with the words and the solution. Together they give us both sides of the ROAD! And I’m glad you check up on me, Bud…Keeps me GROUNDed! 😂 Thanks for the shout out. No MATTER how you WORD it, you always make me smile…Have a great day! 🚧🙋🏻

        • Hey Brooklyn…You’re welcome, Bud. And we’re all aging minds… What’s the alternative?
Just stick around…I’ll make you laugh…and keep you young! Pleasant dreams, Brooklyn…🙋🏻

  4. I left a reply at 7:30 and it is not showing up, so I’ll repost,.
At the INDOOR pool it was NORMAL for the guard to blow his whistle and WAGGLE his finger to NOTIFY youngsters to try HARDER and not DIVERT their attention from the strokes they were practising.
INDOOR and HARDER caused me to slow down but the solution didn’t require much effort.
On the road to Syracuse to watch the university play this PM. Several relatives work for the university so I have to support them. The team is playing in Michigan but large screens are set up for the students and alumni and others.
    Have a Sunny Sunday everyone.

    • Good Morning, Earl. I did wonder what had happened to you. I knew you had been here, because I saw your “Like” on my post, but didn’t see any comment. I’ve just searched through the files, and there’s nothing showing from earlier this morning. It’s happened before, once to me in fact. Another Word Press quirk. Great sentence, good imagery. Enjoy your ROAD trip and the game…Have a good one! 🏀🙋🏻

  5. Actually had a blind solve and a fairly easy time with the CWs, today.

    Until tomorrow!

    • Hey John…I RODE right through it too…Took one look and SODdenly…Done!
      Have a good one! 🚧🙋🏻

  6. Hi all – Figured the first word would have ITY, so IFY appeared quickly. Then DIVERT and NORMAL took an extra look. Only got INDOOR from being stuck on the word before.

So that’s the median that appeared SODDENLY last summer? LEMMY tell ya, I’m glad they beautified things for the motoRRHEADs. Wow, what a hyphenated name they could have created if Lemmy Kilmister had married Wilma Mankiller.

    Have a great Sunday!

    • Grasshopper…ROTFL…SODdenly…Mediocre Minds! 👏🏻. I remember when INDOOR took you and some others OUT the last time..Glad you DIVERTed from it this time AROUND!
And did you know that before Lemmy was Motorhead, he was the ROADIE for Jimi Hendrix? But then he SPLIT and went out on his own…Whole time Wilma was CHERRokeeing them on! 😂 Have a good one, Bud! 🚧🙋🏻

      • 😂😂 Saw John’s comment but posted mine before I saw your answer!
YES, this time I didn’t have to BE THE ROUNDABOUT.
        Shouldn’t you be watching basketball? 🏀 😂 🙋🏻‍♂️

        • Our comments CROSSED OVER one another! Good company! I am watching Basketball..🏀 Commercials, Bud…They’re called Commercials! 😉🙋🏻

  7. Indoor was a little troublesome, but of the road was a ready solution, followed quickly by middle.

    • Hey Chuck…Good afternoon. I can’t remember when we last saw INDOOR, but I do recall it JAMBing up a few puzzlers. Glad you ACEd the solve, and as soon as I’m ALL SQUARE with the NCAA, I’ll do that write up for you. Hope you’re enjoying your day! 🚧🙋🏻

  8. Hi, all! Upon first reading of the cartoon, I knew it would be something with the same meaning as “run of the mill” or “more of the same” with the “of the” a given, but… what would go with a cartoon about a median, which is in the middle…DONE!!

I needed to fry a pound of sausage, so I put the Jumble on top of Jerry’s coffee pot and solved 4 of the words while stirring that sausage. Then I quickly backed into NOTIFY and my most difficult one, NORMAL. My scrambled eggs with olive oil, butter, milk, and sausage were delicious.

    Happy Sunday!

    • Hi Lelia. I think we all had the “of the” immediately solved today. For a Sunday, it was a pretty easy puzzle. Clever and cute. Hope you’re enjoying your day. 🚧🙋🏻

  9. Hi, Steve! Thank you for telling me about that fabulous band of musicians, The Funk Brothers and their Motown hits. I will also be listening to more Joan Osborne, agreeing with you that she was “smiling, happy, & confident” and sang well. I also liked the way she gently moved to the time of the music, and I loved it that I could understand the words as she sang them.
