Good Sunday morning, Everyone!

๐ŸŽญ The Show MUST go on?? ๐ŸŽญ

๐ŸŽถ”BRING DOWN THE CURTAIN, saw the SHOW tonight, It’s so dark outside, soon be light. Enough is enough, can’t do it no more. Bring down the curtain, close the door”๐ŸŽถ

So, yesterday we were offered Dr Beau Tox and ๐ŸŽถ”Forever Young”๐ŸŽถ, and today it’s “SEEN BETTER DAYS”? Hmm…What’s up Jumble Guys? Feeling your age? Or trying to make us feel ours? Well, TAKE FIVE!…We’ve got a puzzle to do first! Our words: Did INTACT drive you Insane? Did you find yourself saying…”I-CANTT”? ย I had to blink. And FENNEL could possibly be new, but did it make you want to FLEE? The others we’ve SCENE before. Good GROUP of words for a SUNDAY (IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE…or not)! A little eye candy before we GO ON any further…”Who’s that through yonder CURTAIN breaks…It is STAGE LEFT, and David is the sun…” Dave? That you? Struggling with a Boom Box? Is that RENTal equipment? (Are we in CHICAGO)? You win the AWARD today for Outstanding PERFORMANCE in a SUPPORTING ROLE! Making yourself USEFUL! What a TROUPEr! And now, Ladies and Gentlemen, PRESENTING the FINAL ACT, our cartoon! Well, would you just look HAIR! Jeff’s giving us aging performers, almost BREAKing A LEG, begrudgingly belting out a song. And there’s a ย couple in the AUDIENCE, looking LES MISERABLES; BUSILY whispering ASIDE, that THE PRODUCERS should have brought the CURTAIN DOWN on this long before tonight! Let’s face it, they’re just being CANDID. Because this PLAY? It HAS definitely “SCENE” BETTER DAYS”! APPLAUSE! Good SHOW, Jumble Guys! “Creative, witty, entertaining…you’ll REFUSE to put your paper down…”, writes Angela, of the NY News…”I give it 4๐ŸŒŸSTARS”!
So, OK..(let’s bring it)LAHOMA! (Yes, sorry, I know, even I’m groaning…)! Ok, to WRAP this up, none of us were BORN YESTERDAY. But all of us GUYS AND DOLLS shouldn’t worry so much about aging. Get out there today! Go to a CABARET, get on a CHORUS LINE… and be WICKED!
Because YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE…and THEY’RE PLAYING OUR SONG!….
Have a SMASHing day, Everyone! ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿป (Exit…Stage Right) ๐ŸŽญ๐ŸŽŸ

    • Good morning, Moose. Thank you, kind Sir. You’re an early bird, like me, huh? No, I fell out about an hour after the game. And this morning, in between the French toast and two cups of coffee…Voila! LOL…Fun puzzle. Enjoy this beautiful NY morning! ๐ŸŽŸ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿป

  1. Smashing post, Angela. Words werenโ€™t too bad, though I needed my pad to jumble candid and useful. All I could think for the answer was that one of the words might start with B. I found better and the rest of the phrase followed. I don’t think I received Jumble Answer in my inbox or junk mail today.

  2. Good morning, ๐ŸŽถSweet Caroline๐ŸŽถ Thank you! Can you tell I’m a Broadway Buff? LOL…Better was a good choice for a starting word. Adorable cartoon, and very clever. I love the Sunday puzzles! Guess what? I didn’t get the Email either! I only received Moose’s, and now yours. And, as I’ve mentioned before…I’m writing it! I can’t figure it out! MAMMA MIA! Where are they all going? Wishing you a great day! ๐ŸŽŸ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿป

    • I just got home from the market and Jumble Answers was in my inbox with the time of 7:20! Yes, I can tell you are a Broadway fan. I think the last show I attended in NYC was Sweeney Todd, many, many years ago. Wishing you and everyone a fun day, too.

      • Yep, That was the time I did it! And, I still haven’t gotten anything! Maybe it’s adrift somewhere in the SOUTH PACIFIC! Who knows! Be well, and enjoy this beautiful day! ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿป

  3. To steal your line Angela – “Good morning, Starshine!”
Well, like many things, they’re literally hair today but gone tomorrow.
Bring back the fish band! We know their act is still fresh!
I love Dave’s tongue hanging out with the effort of running the boombox – or maybe it’s just the effort of holding it up!

Got all the words pretty quickly, but I *almost* gave up on the answer until, like Caroline, I saw BETTER.

Have a great day everyone. If you’re watching the eclipse tomorrow, beware of dangerous fake eclipse glasses! I left a story link over on “In other words”.

    • Good morning, Starshine..(It is still morning there, right)? Uh, perhaps stealing a second line, also? Isn’t “Hair today, gone tomorrow” mine too? Let’s check…๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ The FISH Band? Still FRESH? Good ones! Kudos, Grasshopper! Dave, and the Boom Box? Poor guy’s all on his own…His assistant, “Juliet”, never showed. ๐ŸŽถ”Boy, you’re going to carry that weight…carry that weight a long time..”๐ŸŽถ…Jeez, are these commercials getting shorter?…๐Ÿ˜‰

  4. This has to be one of the toughest jumble puzzles ever. I had to cheat and see what you figured out. I should have realized the quotes around the first word would indicate a pun, but there were several play-related words that could be made from the selection of letters, such as “acts,” or “read,” or “reads,” and obviously if you pick out an incorrect word and then try to work with what is left over, the answer does not appear! My English-major wife didn’t get it either, and she is usually the one who doesn’t get stumped by the jumble. Even the cat was no help, but then, he usually isn’t.

    • Hey Eric…Het was een perfecte puzzel voor een Zondagse!
      Ciao! ๐ŸŽŸ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿป

    • Eric, I was a little distracted earlier with another loss by those DAMN YANKEES, and I’m just realizing something now. You say the cat was no help? Surprising. One would think CATS would be good at this. THE LION KINGs so to speak. Maybe he needs more stimulation. Does he get enough exercise? Do you let him run BAREFOOT IN THE PARK? There’s a great park near AVENUE Q. Or are you averse to sending him out? Afraid he may track in some GREASE? You could always fit him with a pair of those tiny KINKY BOOTS made especially for cats. Reasonably priced…they’re only about $17.76.
Anyway, glad we could help you out with the puzzle.
      We’re always HAIR to help….
      Have a great night! ๐ŸŽŸ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿป

  5. Wow! First Carolyn, then Steve, now me finding BETTER first. I used โ€œfresh eyes,โ€ one of the first techniques I learned from Mike. After all the words & writing the letters, I left for a while & BETTER popped into my head. The rest followed.
Angela, I loved your enthusiastic post & most certainly did not groan at OK(letโ€™s bring it)LAHOMA. I loved that one!

    • Hi Lelia. Thank you very much. Yes, Oklahoma was a stretch! LOL.. Hope you’re enjoying your day! Be well. ๐ŸŽŸ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿป

  6. i _never_ would’ve solved this (wait, ยฟi’m admitting failure months after the puzzle ran? yeah, i recently found it in a stack of “un-gone-through” papers). good workout for my one functioning brain-cell (too bad said cell didn’t work hard enough), but i _really_ enjoyed the theatrical commentary that followed. ยกwell played, Angela, well played!

    • Well, HELLO,DOLLY!…APPLAUSE, APPLAUSE, Debora! ( Is it alright if I take a little LEEway and address you simply as Debora)? Well PLAYed indeed! Very well PLAYed in fact! A good one! I see you have a WICKED sense of humor yourself! And I may just steal your CLOSING LINE! Thank you so very much! I had to go back and see what the puzzle was about…trust me, most of my brain cells have SCENE better days themselves! I wasn’t BORN YESTERDAY! But then again, what’s a few months amongst friends? This was a very good puzzle, and with living in NYC, and being a true lover of Broadway, I really went to town with this one! Thank you again, and don’t be a stranger HAIR! ๐ŸŽญ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿป
