Good morning, Everyone.

As a dedicated logophile, I really DIG today’s words, no BONES about it. Common, everyday words, that except for Bunion, I myself have used just this past week alone. But Dave’s anagram prowess took these everyday words and turned them into extremely INTEResting choices. Personally, I never quite “got” archeologists;  choosing a career that could leave them in RUINS. Working in the dirt and the heat, and knowing as the day went on, that it would get IAN HODDER.  I dated one once. Nice enough guy, but obsessively jealous. Constantly DIGGING UP THE PAST. Eventually, I just threw in the TROWEL. Ah, but I DIGress. Our words: I found them easy breezy, with the slightest tic at Offend. It just looked wrong. Glancing at the cartoon, I already had the answer, so I looked for my B. Getting it from Bounty sealed the deal. I think the phrase a “Bone of Contention” may be one of those that you’re either familiar with or not. It’s not all that common, so it may not be all that HUMERUS.

POST SCRIPT:  I’m posting this later today for two reasons. I went to Mass first, and secondly I labored over this post. Mike and I agreed last night that some mention needed to be made about the terror spree in the UK. Two attacks within eight days…the mind reels in disbelief. He had enough faith in me to say that he knew I’d think of something. So, I sat here for way too long trying to come up with a witty post all the while weighed down with the sadness of recent events. I wasn’t even going to try and work it into the post. So, I did “my job”, the old “The Show Must Go On”. But, I’m so tired of the heartache. 💔 All I can say is, whatever God we pray to, whatever higher power we put our belief in, whatever guides our lives, He, She, It’s desperately needed right now.  🙏🏻
