Jumble Answers for 04/07/2017

Good morning everyone and HAPPY FRIDAY!  The clue words were a snap today with all of them coming to me at first glance.  DINKY appears to be a new word as I don’t recall David using it before.  Looking at the cartoon answer, I first counted the letters which totaled 11.  Unable to come up with a word that long, I jotted down my letters and began the solve.  DIFFERENT jumped out at me right away leaving IN for the finish.  It was fun seeing Jeff draw himself into the cartoon today and he was wearing a t-shirt of his favorite band WILCO.  That’s all I’ve got and the kids have early school dismissal so it’s off to the bus stop for me.  I’m glad I got all of my errands done early this morning so we can relax and unwind.  Enjoy your Friday and I’ll see you tomorrow.  πŸ˜€

  1. Good morning, Mike, good morning everyone. I was forced to start the day without my puzzles, (Oh, the humanity)!, leaving the house before the paper delivery; I had the 5-8 AM shift at my Church clothing drive. (I do look at the puzzle online, but only after doing it in the paper-“Brick and Mortar” mentality is hard to break)! LOL… Easy breezy; the only blink of the eye word was DINKY. I saw KIND immediately, and that cost me a second. Dinky isn’t the most common of words, but I do think I remember Dave using it before. Last summer maybe? And as soon as I wrote the answer letters, indifferent was right there. (Besides, looking at the girls faces? Could they look more bored)? LOL…
Liked the cartoon shout out to Wilco also, I have friends that are seeing them this summer. But did anyone else spot the one tiny difference in the identical twins? And as for baseball? Gotta tip your hat to Tim Tebow. No matter what you think of him, he’s like the little engine that could, no? (And definitely lends credence to my belief that God’s a Mets fan)! I’m back to Church for a 12-3 shift, and then that’s it for me; I’ll throw in the towel..(or the shirt or blouse)! Wishing everyone a Happy Friday! πŸ™‹πŸ»

  2. We’re buying our tickets to see Wilco today! Those twins are my daughter’s best friends, Anna and Erica. They’ve been besties for 12 years now and are all going to the University of Cincinnati together next fall. They’ve been in the Jumble a few times when we’ve done the twins puns. NEYOJ!

    • Hi. ENRIGTEGS from NYC! I have some friends seeing them in PA, and others in MA. I did recognize the girls! Love your work. Ciao! πŸ™‹πŸ»

  3. Easy words; did not try to get answer as I had no idea as to what it might be. Saw nothing different in cartoon; however, I never see a lot of what others see. Not very good pic in my paper! Have a great day!🌞

    • Hi Sue, good afternoon. The only way I can see the details in the puzzle is by looking at the online version after I’m done solving; where you can magnify the picture full screen.
I don’t think any eyes over 40 can see that minutiae without help! Even with glasses I can’t! Have a great night! πŸ™‹πŸ»

  4. Good morning. The words were pretty easy even though I doubted dinky was correct. When I went to the cartoon I had part of the word “in”. lol. Again when I transferred the letters to a pad I put down a wrong letter and couldn’t solve. After I looked for the answer I had noticed the wrong letter. I had my glasses on too. Even with the error I should have picked it up. Was a good met game. Never thought they would play with all that rain we had. Even the guys on WFAN thought they should have cancelled the game. Turns out they were dead wrong. Till tomorrow stay well

    • I only caught the highlights of the Mets game. Looks like there were a few quirky moments! Watched some of the Diamondbacks/Giants game before bed. Red Sox and Tigers are about to start so I have that on in the background. Tomorrow’s puzzle is a cinch! Enjoy your Friday my friend. πŸ˜€βšΎοΈ

  5. Hi! Always love the twins & seeing Jeff in the cartoon picture. Easy solve for me today EXcept for EXPORT, and I deserve the EXtra time it took because I have been bragging for several days about remembering to look for prefixes but did not see “EX” for a few seconds. I did not see the EXtra eyelashes either; should have EXamined the picture more closely.
Enjoy your day!! See you tomorrow.

    • Hi Lelia, good afternoon. I mentioned to Sue that the only way I get to see the tiniest of detail in the puzzle is by looking at the online version. I don’t know about anyone else, but even with my paper printing in beautiful color and wearing reading glasses, I’d never catch the details. Hope you’re feeling better. Have a great night! πŸ™‹πŸ»

  6. Hi Mike?, I was able to sign on once as Caroline but haven’t been able to figure out how to do so again. I can’t remember exactly how I did it the first time. I tried to find an account under Caroline and my email address at Word Press but couldn’t find one. Instead, they told me Caroline is taken and is not matched with my email. Sorry to bother you but I tried all my puzzling skills to no avail. FYI I haven’t joined Twitter, Facebook etc. Caroline

    • Hi Caroline, and no bother at all. I honestly don’t know how to recover your account as I have all of my login credentials saved directly on my iPad. Now that your logged in as Caroline Zane, just change your profile to be Caroline Z if you don’t want what I assume is your last name visible. I wish I could help more but I’m just a user of the wordpress site and don’t have access to the “inner workings”. πŸ˜•

    • Your not the only one Caroline. This is the closest I’ve come. We were raised you don’t air your dirty laundry. This is a job. Hats off to you Mike. Don’t be surprised if my friend joins in some day. She is slowly getting up the nerve. Reads us faithfully but still Leary on commenting.
