CARTOON ANSWER:
THEY DECIDED TO DOUBLE-UP ON THEIR MORTGAGE PAYMENTS, AND IT WAS —
FONFIAYPG = PAYING OFF
Good morning everyone and happy Saturday! All of the clue words were quick to be solved this morning and I breezed right to the cartoon. I attempted to blind solve it but couldn’t figure it out. After writing out the clue letters, the solution came quickly to complete the pun. No unique details in the cartoon so hopefully we’ll get a few tomorrow. Be well and I’ll see you tomorrow! 😁

PIGLET challenged me, FLAIL not easy. Great drawing & dialog gave the answer away to me. 6:53 final time.
BALLOONS, STREAMERS,
AND EVERYTHING FINE,
BECAUSE A SPECIAL
SOMEONE IS … HAVING A BIRTHDAY PARTY!!
Good morning. Also spent some time on flail. Then when I copied the letters down I got them wrong. after five minutes I started to get into an old movie “dega vu” with Denzil Washington and got side-tracked. When I started to get my daughterinlaw involved I realized I copied them down wrong. The answer came before I fixed the letters. Have to pay more attention when I’m writing them down. Done this more than I would like. Looking forward to Sunday’s puzzle. Take care.
Had the answer solved and the first three words done in less than a minute. Had to back door piglet to finish in 2:30.
Good Saturday Morning, all! CHATTY was my struggle this time. Felt so stupid when it finally jumped out at me. Where was my brain today… Hope everyone is well and enjoying the weekend. My paper publishes the Jumble only 6 days a week, so I’ll see you all on Monday morning. Enjoy!

you can always try http://poststar.com/entertainment/puzzles-and-comics/jumble/pdf_5ca240a4-55ce-5ab8-8339-9394a45cdebb.html on Sundays, go to menu at top left, then entertainment, then puzzles and comics.
Thanks, Clay! I will give it a go. A day without Jumble is just not a happy day.
The second jumble ALFIL in the 2-18-17 puzzle could be two words: Flail and afill.

P.S. John, I enjoy hearing of your fast Jumble solves. Brings back memories of competing with myself to do the daily crossword in 10 minutes. I called out my time, stood up, and did my victory dance. My quiet husband would look up from his newspaper and say, “Try not to break your arm patting yourself on the back.” One day in a waiting room, a woman was audibly struggling with a word. I was giving her time to get it herself, but my husband loudly & proudly said, “My wife can help you with that word. She did the whole thing in 10 minutes.” That is a fun & precious memory.
My electrician husband & I are with you in your challenging laundry room project. Best wishes.
Took awhile to see flail but the others & solve came quickly. Thank you to Clay for the link on Sunday.
