Good morning everyone and happy Tuesday! Today’s puzzle was a routine solve that gave me no challenge whatsoever. TIPTOE is my pick for the most difficult anagram with SKINNY coming in at a distant second. I only included SKINNY because of the way the anagram was masterfully jumbled. By simply placing the S at the end of the anagram, you probably tried making several other letter combinations first. With all of the clue words complete, I made my way to the cartoon.
If you’re a regular Jumble player, the characters in today’s panel were instantly recognizable. Jumble artist Jeff Knurek and his wife Kathy can be seen having a conversation while their two dogs catch a few ZZZ’s. After reading the sentence and dialogue, the answer instantly came to mind and is what I refer to as a “blind solve”. I always double check my answer by writing out the clue letters, and once I saw the B from BROKE, I knew that my hunch was correct.
Since the puzzle was such a quick solve, I have a challenge for you. Are you up for a friendly little bet? Ok, here it goes. What are the names of Jeff and Kathy’s dogs? I’ve mentioned them a few times in the past so let’s see if you can remember. After you think about it for a minute, you can check your answer (here).
Today is the final day to ask David L. Hoyt a question for his upcoming interview. If you’d like to ask him something, this will be your last chance. We have a bunch of great questions already but there’s always room for a few more. To submit a question, here’s a link to the post (INTERVIEW).
Have a terrific Tuesday and I’ll see you tomorrow!
