Good Morning, Everyone!    🌽 LET IT GROW, LET IT GROW, LET IT GROW! 🌽

🎶 The FARMER in the DELL, The FARMER in the DELL…Hi-ho, the Derry-o, The FARMER in the DELL…🎶 “The Farmer in the Dell”…Author Unknown –  1826

🌽 The Farmer in the Dell was heard, since a mere child was I,
Repeated it a zillion times, though never knowing why…
A “Dell” was used, because to me, a child not of corn…
The SYMBOL for a valley could have been an old shoe horn!
A city girl don’t FALTER, no TIRADE came from me,
I went along and sang the song, as happy as can be…
‘Cause a HYBRID crop, or rotate weren’t words I’d even know,
And as far as I cared EXCEED meant how far a ball I’d throw.
And I’d use a pen and PENCIL figuring a players’ stat…
That Farmers’ life was foreign still…I knew a glove and bat…
Then I grew and welcomed knowledge, other things became unveiled…
Yet to me ’twas always Baseball grew an EXPERT IN HIS FIELD!🌽

SOW…What have we EAR? Sunday Morn…Sunday CORN! Have these words made us Forlorn? I think today David’s given us the Cream of the CROP! TIRADE, SYMBOL, EXCEED, HYBRID...✔️✔️✔️✔️. A little falter at FALTER, and I don’t know why, but PENCIL just didn’t look WRITE! As for the cartoon…Again I have to say that David and Jeff FEED us these answers…I figured FIELD immediately…Location, location, location…and our question gave us “BEST“..I glanced at the words, saw the “X” guessed at EXPERTIN HIS just LINED UP behind it! A CORNucopia of Clues! Ok…Let’s PICK it apart…Oh, I forgot to mention that all of our words today are SWEET Repeats, with TIRADE coming in as the most recent at April 12th, and PENCIL bringing up the rear, at October 13th, 2016. SOW…We’re in a FIELD, surrounded by the best CROP of CORN this side of the FARMER’S Market! Three FARMERS are shown…Two dressed for the FIELD, one dressed for the YIELD! The two at left, marveling at the aMAIZEing CROPS, are shown STALKing with the EXPERT, Mr. GREEN MEANS, asking how he manages to GROW such beautiful ROWS. GREEN MEANS, perhaps a tad smug at doing it so much BUTTER, is probably thinking..”YELLOW! I’m not going to give this information away for free…SHUCKS…I’ve invested the best EARS of my life to this”…And I suppose there is a KERNEL of truth to what he’s thinking…And he says..”Buy my Book”…Well he doesn’t actually say “Buy” the book, but that’s what I’m hEARing…SOW, in answer to what the FARMER was..(besides a POPular guy)…He was an…EXPERT IN HIS FIELD! Good one, David! MEALIE, it’s a good one!

Ok, eye candy. There’s really not much to FIELD. Green STALKS, ROWS graciously enPLOWED…The FARMER farthest left? A little HUSKy..The middle FARMER looking distinctly Amish, wouldn’t you say? The broad-brimmed hat, the buttoned-up shirt, the facial hair..NO LIGHT shown there though…A TRACTOR  way off in the distance…nothing DRIVING there either…Let’s just go with GREEN MEANS’ HAT. It sports a little STALK…I wonder if it’s stitched with SILK thread…So, There you have it, Folks, Done! Have a great day, Everyone! I suddenly have an urge for a bowl of CORN FLAKES…Think that makes me a CEREAL killer? 🌽🙋🏻
