  1. ๐ŸŽถ”Oh, you can watch me walk if you want to, want to, I’ll bet you want me back now, don’t you, don’t you? I’m about to show you just how missin’ me feels…In my red high heels, in my red high heels…Nobody holds a candle to me…In my red high heels, in my red high heels…”๐ŸŽถ
Be still my heart! A Shoe Store… I’ve DYED and gone to Jumble Heaven! Quick, let’s WALK through our words: โœ”๏ธโœ”๏ธโœ”๏ธโœ”๏ธ. Ok, so I ran through the words…But an OUTING to the shoe store is more than I can MANAGE! You get to see all these works of art. The colors, the styles, the FLUID lines. You can POLKA around the aisles all you like…So yes, I’m PUMPed, and I’m going straight to the cartoon. It’s no secret that I’m FLAT out head over HELLS about shoes. Talk about an Achilles HEEL! I’m a SHOE-dini! I can walk into a shoe store, and just like that..POOF!…those shoes have disappeared from the shelves into my shopping bag! A sale? I’m no LOAFER, I’ll purSHOE it with a vengeance! POINT me in the right direction, and STAND back! So looking at our cartoon, my first thought is, where are all the boxes? One PAIR, and our customer’s good? No FLIP FLOPping? Ok, it’s not an IRREGULAR CHOICE, open-toe, high heel. But, it just seems like a CROC to me, KORS I’d expect to see a lot more to CHOOse from. Anyway, we see our reporter directing her cameraman. And we see the cameraman…Hmm. MAN? OLO down on the floor there? I know you need to get a shot of the wiggling toes, the real FOOTAGE, but is that WEITZ, MAN? What, no zoom lens? UGG. Could this guy be a HEEL, a real SNEAKER? I HOPE I’m wrONG, so, I won’t BALLET it any further; but Folks? STILL..LETTOs know what you think…
Well, that WRAPs IT UP! The Jumble Guys have afFORDed us another great puzzle! Oh, the eye CANDIES? First, there’s just something about that cameraman’s eye…It’s leaving me COLE. And second, those red high heels I opened up with? I should’ve known better, right? It was just a PIGMENT of my imagination. She’s buying purple…What else? How MADDENing is that?
So, have a great day, Everyone. And remember…Time wounds all HEELS. So be good to your shoes…It’ll do your SOLE good! ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿป

To steal a line from Angela (which I’m SURE she won’t mind!), you’re Busting my Shoes! (I guess it’s actually “breaking”, but I couldn’t resist!)

      • ๐Ÿ˜‚ As soon as you posted what? There’s a few sketchy comments floating around! You do tend to WALK on the wild side every now and then, don’t you? …Pretty brave for the kid with the..”Younger brother, etc” on his drivers license! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Does the suit have a high collar that you could maybe pull way, wayyyyy up..? I forget…! Maybe I’ll cut you some slack… blame it on heat stroke or something…But, TREAD lightly, my Grasshopper…๐Ÿ˜˜ ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿป

      • Thanks, Earl, I know you do! I thought to put it in my post, but I chose to go with Kellie Pickler instead..After all, we were talking High Heels! So, all this from the man who said he knows nothing about shoes…!
        And, wait for it….
๐ŸŽถ Does your shoe have a boy inside? What a funny place for a boy to hide! Does your shoe have a dog there too? A boy and a dog and a foot in a shoe. Well, the boy is Buster Brown. And the dog is Tige, his friend. And they’re really just a picture but it’s fun to play pretend. So look look look in the telephone book for the store that sells the shoe, with the picture of the boy and the dog inside so you can put your foot in too. Buster Brown Shoes!…๐ŸŽถ

        Who’s Steve calling an “old timer…” ? Tell him it’s a CROC of…!

Quite a little shoe shopping here, Earl…๐Ÿ˜˜ Well done…!
Hope to see you t’row! Be well..๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿป

  2. On their OUTING in Buffalo, how did the seniors MANAGE such FLUID moves while doing the POLKA?
About your post, Angela, I appreciate the puns but shoes are just a necessity for me and if I can go barefoot on the beach or around the house, I’m happy. Sandals and Nike athletic gear the rest of the time. OK, I have to throw one barb out –I saw no mention of corns, callouses or achy feet.
Clue words and solution were a breeze today. Have a sunny Saturday everyone and slip into something soothing and soft.

    • Good morning, Earl. The Polka in Buffalo! I love it! What about the “Shuffle Off To”..tho? Maybe another day…Since we’re in a women’s shoe store, I doubt many men are going to catch these puns. You’re not alone! As for the shoes? I’m with you as far as the indoors goes..The minute that door closes behind me, the shoes come off! Barefoot, flip flops or socks.depending on the season! LOL.. But we women are a lot more fortunate when it comes to shoes..Our possibilities are endless! And I fight switching over to closed shoes until the very end! Sandals for as long as I can get away with it! High heeled or flat…๐Ÿ˜‰ As for the foot conditions? I have to take a pass on that one. Fortunately I can’t speak on it. But the floors open, (no pun intended) for anyone else..I just thank God for creating pedicures…
Wishing you a sunny, soothing, soft Saturday also. ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿป

  3. Hi all – Had to write out the letters to get the answer. Angela, if the drooling hammock guy was right up my alley, then this one’s for you, obviously. I did get the CHOO and MANOLO puns despite my Y chromosomes. Don’t even need to watch “Sex in the City” for those; just watch Melania on the news or Twitter.

    As for the words:
MANGY MAGENTA MAGMA? No, just MANAGE. What took me so long?
A Dave Stewart pitching performance was once described as a “seven inning OUTING.”

As for the cartoon: Oh boy. (As in, “I read the news today, oh boy.”) The more I look at this, the more I don’t want to comment. Just this: Is that a VHS cartridge camcorder? Talk about *me* using obsolete technology!

  4. Hi, all! Cooked oatmeal, got paper off couch, while walking yelled, โ€œFootage!โ€ and had first 3 words before 3 bites eaten but not the easiest word there, OUTING! I saw โ€œnougitโ€ which is โ€œnougat.โ€ Finally saw the โ€œing.โ€

Steve: About your guy who got a ticket for littering & should have mentioned a sign saying, โ€œFine For Littering.โ€ Today B.C. described โ€œSpeed Zoneโ€ as a very misleading sign.

Mike: Thank you for hoping that I, workaholic Lelia, took time to do something that I enjoy doing. I will take that as advice and take it to heart.

    • Hi, Lelia! I agree that OUTING was the most challenging word, and it took me a few seconds before I figured it out. It’s always a pleasure hearing how you solved the puzzle so thanks for checking in. I try to keep it brief on the weekends because not many people check in. Enjoy your Saturday and I hope the sun is shining bright for you. ๐Ÿ˜Š

      • Mike, remembered to thank you for hoping I got paperwork done & had some fun, but forgot to tell you that after those 2 grueling days of organizing Jerryโ€™s medical papers, yesterday his surgeon thanked me twice for being so organized. Nice!
Thanks for telling me that OUTING was tricky for you, too.

    • Hi Leila – Nougat! Now *there’s* a word!
      Thanks for the B.C. !
Now appearing at the roadhouse, “Mangy Magenta Magma” opening for “Fried Bicycle Tire.” (Sometimes I think people must wonder about us – “Whatever *ARE* they talking about?” Good thing it’s Saturday, and a long weekend at that!)

Oakland is headed for 102ยฐ today, Phoenix predicted for 104ยฐ.
They said yesterday that SF was hotter than Tucson.
On that subject, check out this “Speed Bump”, although the subject matter would seems more appropriate to “Strange Brew”.

      • Steve, thanks for the post with all the game names. I think I have played all of those. I started quite a game collection when the girls were small & am still adding to it.

How about this: Mangy, Magenta, Magma, singing their signature song โ€œI Love My Little Nougat Candy,โ€ opening for Fried Bicycle Tire.

I saw Speed Bump yesterday about the โ€œroom tempโ€ coffee. That has got to be really hot coffee! I Googled Strange Brew: a movie AND a song.

Sorry about your record-breaking heat. Mike used to ask me to send some rays when it was cold in NH, but I think it would be cost prohibitive to send you even one ton of A/C, would break the postmanโ€™s back, & would surpass the weight limits for FedEx or UPS.

      • Strange Brew – A movie AND a song AND a comic strip, which is what I meant. Who knew there were so many meanings?
And who knew that “Mangy Magenta.. ” would have such a cute song? You know that all those long-haired singers and musicians are really pussycats, right?

Send the A/C! I have Amazon Prime free shipping! ๐Ÿ˜…

  5. Steve, oops! I should have spelled it โ€œNougitโ€ because โ€œiโ€ was the letter I used from the choices and the guy who wrote it is from the south like me & would pronounce it that way as in,โ€We need to git going.โ€
I’m going to try to find Strange Brew comic strip.

  6. Steve, I found Strange Brew comic. Published in my old Arkansas newspaper! Wow! Small world. I lost track of how many I read. Thanks for sharing. Now off to cook dinner.

      • Steve, I just popped over to check out IOW before one last bedtime snack and I feel HORRIBLE that your living room is 96 degrees while we have 2 spare bedrooms with 3 spare beds and I am freezing because Jerry insists on keeping the thermostat at 77 degrees. All you have to do is say the word if you and wife decide you canโ€™t take any more of the heat. The airport is only about 45 freeway minutes from our house. I wonder if information has my phone number here in Peoria.
I think it was about 1996 when electricity was out in California & at our previous house in Phoenix. I covered myself with wet towels & washcloths to sleep.

      • Of course I’m not surprised by your kind offer, but we’ll be fine. We’re not sleeping in the living room, it’s 15ยฐ cooler downstairs, and the outside air is already quite cool. Even this morning, it was 71ยฐ – it only heats up in the afternoon, and tomorrow is predicted to be 84ยฐ, not 102! Even though it was historic, our heatwaves usually only last at most two days – we’ll survive! Thank you so much – I have a big smile on my face right now!
