TYHEM = THYME
TAIRO = RATIO
TRAEAK = KARATE
ARUBUE = BUREAU
CARTOON ANSWER:
AFTER SCUBA DIVING FOR HOURS, THEY WERE READY TO —
THERATKAEBREA = TAKE A BREATHER
Good morning everyone and happy Friday! KARATE and BUREAU are my choices for the most difficult words today. KARATE came into view after staring at it for a few seconds, and BUREAU took 3 self-jumbles to figure out. Moving on to the cartoon, we encounter two divers in a boat who appear tired and exhausted. After reading the dialogue and sentence, we discover that they’ve been diving for quite a long time today and that they need some rest. Writing out the clue letters, A was a given as the single letter. Looking at the last four letters of the anagram allowed me to find BREATH faster than expected causing the rest of the solution to fall neatly into place. I hope everyone has a relaxing and enjoyable weekend and I’ll see you tomorrow!

The BUREAU drawer full of THYME was kicked to pieces by the KARATE novice who was unaware of the RATIO of strength of feet to stationary object.
An unusual situation for me today. I had the solution to the puzzle before I unscrambled all the clue words–so worked backwards to get BUREAU. Two Us stumped me. But it was challenging today and I liked that! 🤔 👍
Good morning, Earl. Tough words to make a sentence out of today, especially THYME. Have a nice weekend.
Good morning, Earl. I wasn’t SHORE what I was going to do with Bureau. As always, you didn’t forSEA a problem. The feet to stationary object, a KEEPER! Hope you’re enjoying this beautiful weather! 🌞🙋🏻
🎶”Every BREATHE you take, every move you make, every bond you break, every step you take…I’ll be watching you..”🎶 Oh BUOY! This THYME we got SCUBA DIVING! I don’t quite SEA it, I’ve never TIDE it, but why KNOT? WATER we have to lose? Today’s words weren’t all an immediate SNAP. PERhaps because I’m not SHORE we’ve SEAn KARATE before. If we did, we’re being SHOALed a whole new scramble. I blinked. And I said to my CHUM Ray, “Before you GOBY with your friends, RA,TIO this word”? He did know, and I TANKed him for his KELP. He’s very good that way, he’s not a selfFISH man. Our cartoon: This was DEPTH-FINitely a gem! Jeff shows us a couple looking out of BREATH. (She’s blond, in a purple suit, by the way…What AIR the CODs of that)! And, then the dialogue gave it PORPOISE. Realizing they might be in a little OVER their heads, they agree to take the oppurTUNAty to rest. “Take a break”. Put them together, and you can be SHORE of your SHELLf, you got the solve…”Take a Breather”. The Jumble BUOYS may have tried to play KOI with us, but it didn’t DIVE us insane! TANKS again, Guys, it was absoFLUKEly KRILLiant! Eye candy? Right below the boat, are three tiny little fishes. I so got ONBOARD with that! So, SCUBA DIVING…It’s becoming MORAY and MORAY popular these days. “Come out of your SHELL”, “Don’t get TIDE down”…may be SALMON the things you AIR from friends. But ASCENTially, what’s ones fantaSEA may KNOT be another’s. It’s a personal choice, and the FINal deSEAsion must be aBOAT you. You can always BUREAU someone’s equipment, and try it out. It may go SWIMmingly…Just don’t fEEL you have to give in to the PIER PRESSURE…Don’t MASK your fear…
It’s SHRIMPle…SCUBA DIVING?..Keep your friends close, and your ANEMONES closer.
Friday! It’ll be a great day…Just WADE and SEA ⛴🙋🏻
Lots of punny business going on! Have a great Friday!!!
At least they’re not SINKING like the Yanks. Another gem Angela.
Hey Moose, Good morning. Thanks, Bud. Sinking is right. Poor showing. I watched the Mets down here in my Girl’s Garrison, they watched the Yanks upstairs. Banged on the floor whenever Judge was up, so I could get to watch him STRIKE blow after blow to my heart! 💔 I’m WIGGING out! 🙋🏻
From the College of Musical Knowledge:
🎵”Down in the meadow in a itty-bitty poo
Fam three little fishies and a mama fishie too”🎵
LOL…Good morning, Nemo! Glenn Miller? Kai Kaiser? Spike Jones?
Uh, Catfish Hunter…? 🙋🏻
Good morning, Mike. Didn’t get the email for some reason. Lost at SEA? Ah, SEA la vie! 😉🙋🏻
Water the chances that it’s in your junk folder again? Been up since 5am but couldn’t get inspired.
No, I checked. Got the IOW, but not today’s puzzle. Strange
Oh well, there’s always tomorrow! 😂
I guess. I’m not holding my breath…🙋🏻
JUMBLE FUN
Jumble, Jumble, oh what fun!
Words and cartoon ‘til you’re done.
Some you’ll finish very fast,
Others seem to last and last.
Jumble with new fallen snow,
Or with cactus in a row.
North or south or east or west,
Jumble puzzle is the best!
Once you’re hooked, I’m sure you’ll say,
“Happy way to start my day!!”
JUMBLE MIKE
Jumble Mike, who lives near the beach,
On his website, jumbling does teach.
I read every day,
What Mike has to say,
But his skills I never shall reach!
That was AMAZING, Lelia! I didn’t expect that at all and it’s going to be the highlight of my day. I really have to know where the inspiration came from and can we expect this every morning??? B-R-A-V-O!!!
👏🏻👏🏻 🙋🏻
A wonderful surprise. Hope you are both doing well.
Had the puzzle solved before the words. Had to back into bureau by putting the two u’s in the only spots they’d fit.
Hey John–we must have the same brain waves or something–I did the same. Have a great weekend.
Yea, but UUs both got the solve, that’s what counts. As we say in Brooklyn, “Youse both done good”! 😉🙋🏻
Hey Angela, as U once said, having multiple U’s in a word is not UsUal, it’s UnUsUal.
U’s got that right! Uniquely, Unequivocally Unusual! 🙋🏻.
Hey John. I know that was a tough loss last night, but I just wanted to tell you that I’m rooting for you. That wild card is fickle! I really got no horse in this race any more, so whatever happens, happens. Didn’t mean to asSAIL your team the other day! Have a good one! 🙋🏻
It was a great challenge for a Friday puzzle and jumbled masterfully. I’m sure David is giving a lot of players a headache today. 🙂
Good morning. Bombed out today real bad. I was stuck on both ends. My young ones were going out for breakfast before going on today’s adventure and I asked them to solve the cartoon. It took them all of fifteen seconds to get the answer. Angela, my son caught a black bass and two porgies. The fluke was too short. It has to be 19″now to keep. There was a tie on the fluke for the money. One was 21 1/2 ” and the other 22 1/4″. But they both weighed the same. My daughterinlaw caught a few sea robins and a skate that went back into the water. Lelia your piece was inspiring. Until tomorrow stay well
Hey Paul. We’ve caught bass out there. Never any skates. We’re always sailing there. May I ask, where do you live that you’d go to the Bay to fish? If you’re there again, and looking for good Italian food, go to Maria’s right on Emmons Avenue. Great atmosphere, great service, great food. 🙋🏻
Like many of you, I got the puzzle answer before the clue words. Had to get out paper and pencil to figure out bureau & karate. It was a good challenge today. Have a good Friday everyone.
Thanks, Betty!
Luckily, I got the answer easily because I needed the letters to solve all four clue words.
At first glance the clue letters looked like foreign language to me. Took several minutes for brain fog to leave and let me think clearly. Answer fell into place with no problem. Have a fantastic Friday!🌞
