Happy Friday everyone!  Here we stand at the precipice of the weekend, and I can’t wait to board the plane and jet to some place warm.  Before the fun begins, I have to conquer one last puzzle, so this is how it went.  The first two clue words came instantly, with STIGMA causing me to stumble for a few seconds.  After that, CANOPY came just as fast as the first two words and I arrived at the cartoon.  I didn’t have a guess for the final solution (and didn’t feel like spending too much time on it either) so I wrote out all the clue letters.  It was an instant solve after seeing MOON in the letter layout leaving a great pun to end the week.  There weren’t any hidden details in the cartoon that I could find, but the black background really made the astronauts pop.  The dialogue reminded me of my youth in the 80’s and everyone was talking about how flying cars would be everywhere but here we are and I haven’t seen one yet.  Maybe by 2030 — or sooner.

This is my last post for a week and Angela from our forum has decided to take over the reigns in my absence.  It’ll be fun to read someone else’s take on the puzzle and I wish her the best of luck.  I’ll be thinking of everyone while I’m on the beach, toes deep in the warm sand and sipping umbrella drinks.  See you all bright and early on May 1st!!!  😎✈️🏝☀️

    Good morning everyone, guess I’m a little SPACED out!
    Easy, EASY, today. Can’t give it a breezy, because of CANOPY. 6 letters, 4 consonants, my left brain always thinks 2 syllables. Had to blink 3x’s for the 3 syllables! The answer: Knowing i needed MOONS, it came to me as soon as I wrote the letters. AOY from Canopy, saw the G, the phrase just it LANDed in my lap. So, what’s the biggest problem when planning a Space Party? You always need to PLANET so far in advance!
    (BA-BOOM)! Hoping your day is out of this world….🚀 🙋🏻

    • Hey Mike, that was just the post I had ready from earlier. In response to yours, you know what hit me funny in the drawing? Next to the astronaut on the left? That footprint? It actually looks like one of your EGGS! As for the elephant in the room, like I said the other day, this must be what auditioning for “Wheel of Fortune” feels like. The pressure’s relentless! And again, your shoes cannot be filled. I can’t think of it as taking over the reins either; let’s look at it as hoping I can keep the horse on the track! I just hope the puzzle shows up here t’row!

  4. Had the puzzle and all words but STIGMA solved in a snap. Had to back my way into it; GAM, no – MAG, no – GMA, head slap! Spent 2/3 of my time doing the puzzle today on that one word.

  8. I thought they were pulling another fast one when moon was obvious but did not fit the first answer word. Took me a minute to put an S on it and solve. Have a nice vacation!

  11. Good afternoon. I kept checking my phone and not seeing the jumble or the blog (whatever it’s called) so I went into the phone and somehow found it. First off. Have a great vacation. Angelia will give you pride in knowing that you left it in good hands. Saw the voice that I recorded and without blowing smoke, thought Josh should have been one of them saved. I don’t watch the show but was hoping since we all had someone we could root for that and we all could share in your joy. To the puzzle. Only had trouble with stigma. It took awhile to get and we had it before. Cartoon answer was an immediate solve. Until tomorrow stay well

  12. Hi! With newspaper in the yard, I did the online puzzle which accepted MOON as the first word and MAN as the last word, leaving me with 5 letters that won’t make a word that makes sense. Glad I gave up and came here for HELP.
    Mike, I wish you a very Happy Holiday, a nice break from cold weather, and lots of precious family fun-time together that will put wonderful memories in your mind & in your heart.
