Jumble Answers for 12/29/2016

Good Thursday morning!  We’ve seen all four of the clue words recently and they were a cinch to figure out.  I tried to solve the cartoon without the clue letters and I was successful for the second day in a row!  When I read the dialogue of the cartoon the man said “I’m not pedaling” and Jeff had them near the “coast” so the solution came to me very quickly.  Have a great day and I’ll see you tomorrow!

  1. The words were easy. The answer for me was a different story. Had was for the second word but kept relating it to skiing and drawn a blank. My daughter-in-law was going out the door and I asked her for help. It took her at the most fifteen seconds. She and my son always solve it when I’m stuck. It’s fun when you share it with your loved ones.

    • Hi Paul! Sometimes when you try too hard, the answer never comes to you. That’s what I find anyway. When I come back to a difficult puzzle with “fresh eyes” the answer almost always comes to me. Enjoy the day and see ya tomorrow!

  2. Got first 3 words quickly without peeking at the cartoon, but last one would not come to me. Solved the cartoon but still could not get last word. Stared at it, memorized the letters, wrote the letters in a circle, wrote the consonants above the vowels, did a LOT of jumbling of my own, and finally left my breakfast getting cold to take out the 6 letters from my scrabble tiles. I put them into the lid of the box, swirled them only ONE time, and there was the word social. Because it made me smile, I still say that doing the Jumble is a happy way to start the day.

  3. Because I accidentally pressed my mouse and brought up something I did not want, I quickly pressed post comment without closure. So…
Have a great day, stay warm, happy Jumbling, and thanks for all the techniques I’ve learned about how to do the Jumble.
