CARTOON ANSWER:

LEBEOLWAD = “ABODE” WELL

Happy December 1st everyone!  Great clue word choices this morning with ABATE taking just an extra second.  With all of the clue words solved, it was on to the main event.  I was surprised to see that Jeff had drawn another real estate/Modern Family themed cartoon.  He must be in the market for some investment property or just really enjoy the show.  I first tried my hand at solving it without looking at the letters and all I came up with was THEM for the four letter word.  Looking at my letters, there was no T so I had to start over.  There were quite a few L’s and I found WELL easily and ABODE came next to complete the pun and put a cap on another great puzzle.  I would never have guessed that answer!  Take care and I’ll see you tomorrow.  😀

  1. I am so proud of myself for learning from you a new way to do the Jumble. I had always read the comic first, but for two days I have done the words first with no peeking and have been amazed at how much easier the words are for me without my brain being distracted by thinking about the comic.
    Today, with the words done and letters ready, I finished the comic quickly but took time like you do to enjoy the art work including recognizing our realtor, still hard at work but with his “sell phone” still in his pocket.
    It’s a good thing I am sold on this “new way” because I, also, would not have been able to guess today’s answer without the letters.
    Thank you and have a happy day.

  2. I know now that when there are quotes in the final answer, it’s going to be next to impossible to solve unless you somehow happen to crawl in these guys ‘ brains. Boo hiss.

      • Yes sir, I realize that. My point is when the answer is a pun, and a phrase no one would utter in real life conversation, I derive no satisfaction whether I solve it or not. The Jumble never used to be “punny” and I wish we could go back to those times.
