Good Tuesday morning everyone! The first two clue words were no trouble at all and instantly came into view. BURGER was jumbled very well, but with the anagram starting with GER, it took just a slight pause to suss it out. FIGURE is my pick for the most difficult anagram this morning, but it wasn’t overly challenging either. The fact that it had 3-vowels was probably why it took a few seconds longer than the rest. With all of my clue letters solved, it was time to move on to the cartoon.

Looking at Jeff’s panel, I first saw a husband and wife duo in a small boutique shop that caters to men’s clothing. The man is standing on a small raised platform with a tri-fold mirror surrounding him so he can easily view all angles of his new attire. Does this particular dressing room staple have a proper name? It escapes me if it does but I’m sure we’ve all seen or utilized one.

Reading the sentence and dialogue, the man asks his significant other if the clothing looks good on him. It was at this point that I discovered a unique detail in the cartoon that seems to indicate that these two people are not a couple. If you look closely at the woman’s neck, you’ll see a tailor’s tape measure hanging which leads me to believe that the woman is in fact an employee of the shop! You never know where Jeff is going to place such a small detail, and it’s what makes me such a big fan of his work.

The letter layout for the solve was a single word containing 8-letters. David started the anagram with an S and surprisingly had the UI coupled together a little further down. SUITABLE instantly came into view making this solve a no-brainer. Have a terrific Tuesday and I’ll see you tomorrow!
