HE DIDN’T DO SO WELL ON HIS ALGEBRA TEST AND WORRIED ABOUT THE – – –
ETTHRFAAM = AFTERMATH
Good morning everyone, and happy Tuesday! All of the clue words were instantly visible today and caused me no problems whatsoever. I did hesitate on CALMLY, but using -LY as the suffix brought the solution into view. With all of the anagrams solved, the only interesting fact that I noticed was that the solutions were listed in descending alphabetical order. We haven’t seen that in awhile!
Moving along to the cartoon, the setting is instantly recognizable as a classroom. The teacher is standing in the background next to her dry-erase board and holding up a paper. Four students are seated at their desks with the two boys having a private conversation amongst themselves.
Reading the dialogue and sentence, we learn that the teacher has just returned some graded tests to the students and she wasn’t thrilled with the results. It’s difficult to see, but the student on the far right has a C- on his paper and he’s concerned that his parents are going to be upset. A C- is defined as 70-72% correct and is a passing grade, but just barely. The fact that the boy is concerned about what his parents will think proves that he is growing up and becoming more responsible.
The letter layout for the surprise answer was 9-letters long and would be one word once solved. I saw MATH immediately leaving AFTER to be figured out after a few quick self-jumbles. I think I definitely deserved an A for my effort!
Just a quick note to let you all know that I have a “I ❤️ Jumble” coffee mug giveaway going on right now. To enter, simply respond to the post that’s at the top of the website for a chance to win this nifty prize! One entry per person please. 🙂
Have a terrific Tuesday and I’ll see you tomorrow!
