SWISHFDNTRAEN – – – FIRST-HAND NEWS

Good morning, Everyone! POKER!…”Game of Thrones“?
🎶”You’ve got to know when to hold ’em, know when to fold ’em, know when to walk away and know when to run. You never count your money when you’re sittin’ at the table, there’ll be time enough for countin’ when the dealin’s done…”🎶

Jeff at the Auction, Jeff at the Casino…Jeff…The gIFT that keeps on GIVING! We’ll get back to Jeff, FIRST our words: “IFT”? 🎶”IFT I didn’t care, more than words can say, IFT I didn’t care, would I feel this way…”?🎶 ( Sorry, I just couldn’t resIFT)!  Now this is a GIFT! IF’T this has ever happened before, I sure don’t remember! Two words ending in “IFT”? Did you also stop for second and think…”Huh, really? Am I spelling this right”? Well, BET your bottom DOLLAR, you are! SWIFT and SHIFT! Like Jeff..He SWIFTly SHIFTed his money right across that POKER table! How BRAZEN! (Oh, right, not now…ADVENTually we’ll get to him). I’ve a HUNCH that Brazen may be a FIRST, but I won’t BET on it. The other three words? CHECK ✔️, we’ve SEEn them before. Our cartoon: We find ourselves at the JUMBLE Casino (Aside to Earl…”Wink, wink”)! We see 3 slot machines against the wall, a POKER table SET for 6, and 1 man already out. (To the curious out there, “No, I just like numbers…”, To the courageous out there, “Hey, you never know”! To the GAMBLERS out there, “Hmm, it’s WORTH a shot…”)…But keep in mind, I may be BLUFFING!…HA! The ACTION’s at the POKER table. A DEALER sits farthest left, FACING us. The two men in the foreground, having those distinctive looks that Jeff gives to “real” people, seem pleased. One, is wearing a JUMBLE cap and the other HOLDS that WINNING PAIR of ACES. I’ll AGGRO out on a limb here, and say looking at that serious STACK of CHIPS in front of him, somebody, “SOMEBODY” lost some serious money! Show of HANDS, (no pun intended)!…who thinks IFT’s Jeff? Yep, me TWO! The dialogue: Jeff’s breaking the NEWS to his wife that he took that PAIR of KINGS, went ALL-IN, and lost. I guess he VIGured the KINGS would be enough, but It’s OVERs for him. The WINNER says it “was quick”. This GAME just OPENED, it was the “FIRST HAND”, and there’s our solve! How JUICEy was this dialogue? And the cartoon,  just DRAWn to PURSEfection? Guys, I RAISE my 🍷 glass to you! Ok, LAST TO ACT, the eye candy? I’m going to CALL it for the WINNERs shades. They’re so FLASHy!
So, that’s a WRAP, Folks. I really enjoyed this. I like POKER, and I can HOLD my own. I am stubborn, though…I mean, I hate to even FOLD my laundry! And then there’s always..”OMAHArd earned money”!
Have a great day, Everyone! It’s Friday, time to GET AWAY! 🃏 🙋🏻

CARTOON ANSWER: WHEN NOT ONE PERSON BID IN THE CHARITY AUCTION, THE HOST THOUGHT – – –

VTIGSWEAH – – – WHAT GIVES?

Good morning, Everyone! 🖌 An Auction… PICTURE THIS! 🖌

🎶”Well the AUCTIONEER was going about a mile a minute, He was takin’ bids and callin’ them out loud….And I guess I was really gettin’ in it, Cause I just shouted out above the crowd.. And I said..”Hey pretty lady why don’t you give me a sign! I’d give anything to make you mine o’ mine, I’ll do your biddin’ and be at your beck and call …I’ve never seen anyone lookin’ so fine, Man I got to have her she’s a one of a kind …I’m going once, I’m goin’ twice, I’m sold…”🎶

Ok, where do I begin? I’m no ART expert, and I know AUCTIONS speak louder than words…but I have no idea what to do here this morning! Is this NAKED DAVE? Is Jeff giving us ART IMITATING ART? I mean, CANVAS be real? Look, don’t get me wrong. There’s definitely something SKINtillating about a bald man. No BONES about it…And Mr. Hoyt is definitely an attractive man, BUTT, if this IS him? …PAL,ETTE’s not a good look! What were you THINKERing ? At least RODIN had the good sense to have him sit!…This is just TOLE much…I supPOSE I should just get to our words…IGLOO think we’ve seen them before, you’re right. I’m SEESAWing on the scrambles, VALET may be DEPICTed new. In our cartoon, Jeff’s DRAWn an AUCTION site, probably the one place where you can truly get something for NODDING. The bidders, (one of whom I believe to be Jeff himself), look a BID shocked. The AUCTIONeers are clHAMMERing for their attention. In my ESTIMATEtion, it’s obvious why no one’s GIVING it up to buy this PAINTING. Yes, it may be for a “WORDy cause”as the woman is PAINTiently saying, but…c’mon! Where would one HANG this? FRAMEous as Dave may be in the word world, why would one want this? (That’s a LOT of W’s, right)? “WHAT GIVES“?…And, OIL I can say is…that AUCTIONEER needs to WIPE that angry look off his face… His disFLESHure with the crowd is unCALLed for! He’s coming aCROSS kind of PEACHY, no? Ok, the eye candy? It has to be the GAVEL. Without it, I fear this would be the BIDDER end!

Great WORK today, Jumble Boys, albeit a tad SKETCHy! I’m really hoping I haven’t PAINTED myself into a corner here! … And Dave, you may be a MODEL of perfection, BUTT again, if this IS you…Don’t quit the day job, 😉 PICASSO much can go wrong here!

Have a great day, Everyone! Spread the joy, TEXTURE loved ones! 🎨 🙋🏻

AEIERTNNOR – – – ON RETAINER

Good morning, Everyone! THE DENTIST!
BUCCAL UP, Folks…This Could Be A Bumpy Ride!
🎶” Hit the road, PLAQUE, and don’t you come back no more, no more, no more, no more…Hit the road PLAQUE, and don’t you come back no more….”🎶
Cheap SHOT? Sorry, best I could do. I know, I know, CHEW were probably EXPORTing more, but it’s all I got! It’s not that easy coming up with these puns day after day, same old GRIND. So, I try to live by these ADAGEs: PICK yourself up, PULL OUT all the stops, and BRACE yourself for the worst, CUSP life’s not always fulFILLING! The TOOTH hurts! But, BOTTOM line, ORAL really want to do is make you SMILE, so let’s give it a SHOT, and get on with our puzzle! Our words: Was it just me, or was ICIER a tad unNERVEing? I’m thinking, this MESIAL little word is a PAIN! I was having breakfast with my eX, RAY, and I had to ask him for help! (We’ve stayed friends, HELIUM always be my friend). The rest of the words were a SNAP. Our cartoon: AHH..the Orthodontist! Great guy, right? He makes your kids look good, and you in turn put his through college! Quid pro quo. AHH, how ’bout Quid pro…NO? Talk about putting your money where your MOUTH is! We become like inDENTUREd servants, right? You know the DRILL, month after month, pay, pay, pay, unTUNNEL we become MOLAR opposites! He gets richer, we feel the IMPACT! Down right ENAMEL cruelty! Listen, I don’t mean to sound cruel, but the PROPHYs in the pudding! Just look at the cartoon…MAN,DIBLE! Ok, ok, enough of my CARIESing on! I’m BANDying BACK and forth so much, I’m driving myself to EXTRACTION! Let’s just SEW this up. Jeff shows us both kids wearing RETAINERS. Dave tells us the parents joked about….”another month”, and having the DENTIST “well paid”, and …”ON RETAINER”! Good job, Guys, you’ve both IMPLANTED the clues in our minds today! ACUTE puzzle, ain’t it the TOOTH, Folks? Oh, eye candy? On the bill, there’s the SWEETest little TOOTH.
So….I’ll tell you something…While this was PUN while it lasted, today wasn’t easy. Not the puzzle, that was a SPIT in the bucket, I didn’t feel a thing! But trying to FORM conRINSEing puns about DENTAL work? MAMELON other time…Today….was like PULLING TEETH!
(PS: To our Orthodontists out there: Please know this was all TONGUE in CHEEK, I know you got FILLINGS too).
🎶”GUM together, right now, over me…”🎶

Have a great day, Everyone…..And may the FLOSS be with you…😷 🙋🏻

CARTOON ANSWER:  HOW DO THEY SAY HELLO IN THE ALPS?

HHTRHEEIG  – – –  “HIGH” THERE

Bonjour, Everyone!  THE ALPS!   STEP right UP…!!

🎶”YODEL-AY-HEE-HOO…”🎶…That’s it, just a simple little YODEL this morning. Set the mood….I mean, we all know Yodeling is a cry for ALP, right? And that’s where we are today, HIGH up THERE in the ALPS! IGUANA say something right from the start…TRUTH be told, I’m no fan of mountain climbing. Between the Vertigo, No desire to go…(and the shoes), it’s just not something I’ve EVEREST SPIREd to. BUTTE, hey, that’s just my oPINion, (Although I have a HUNCH some of you out there may share my feelings). Don’t get me wrong. I like the Mountains: the beauty, the majesty, the whole LEGEND..(wait for it..) ARY aspect of them…BUTTE again, it’s just my ALTITUDE that if God wanted me to CLIMB mountains, He’d have COMPASSated in another way. You know, made me a little BOULDER. And KNOT so CRESTless, and a lot less ROUGH around the EDGES! HA…! ARETE, let’s not BELAY this any longer…Our puzzle: No new words today, IGUANA believe you remember CEILING them before. ASCENTially, easy enough, right? Our cartoon: Two couples, meeting and “Greeting”, devil may CAIRN, at the top of the French Alps. (I say “French” Alps, because one guy’s sPEAKing French). Little clues…”view from ‘here’..”, “say hello”…So, STEEPing with the theme…”HIGH” THERE! Another PUNctuation solve! CHIMNEY! We’ve seen a lot of these lately, right? GRANITE, no JUGgernaut here, but CHALK it UP to the Jumble boys knowing we like the little HOOK! Ok, the eye candy. Today I’m going with what I don’t SCREE. Where’s the French guys TREKking pole? WATERs he kidding? The CRUX of the matter is how’d he SCALE the mountain without one? He really BETA get a GRIP on things!
Ok, Folks, I’ve CRAGged this out long enough today. To SUMMIT UP, I’ll say…Let’s KNOT SLACK off…Let’s set our SIGHTS a little HIGHER…
And always, always…ROCK ON! Enjoy your day! ⛰⛏ 🙋🏻

CARTOON ANSWER:  THE FASCINATING DOCUMENTARY ABOUT FROGS WAS – – –

GTBIIIBRN – – – “RIBBITING”

Good morning, Everyone! A FROG GIG! Let’s HOP right to it!

🎶”Jeremiah was a bullfrog, he was a good friend of mine, I never understood a single word he said, But I helped him drink his wine…Joy to the world, all the boys and girls now..Joy to the fishes in the deep blue sea..Joy to you and me…”🎶. Frog walks into McDonald’s, orders French FLIES and a diet CROAK. HA! Yea, old joke, I know, but I just couldn’t let it SLIP by. …
My first thought looking at our puzzle TOADy? A little close to that TV, no? My second thought? The FAUNA continues…FROGS! I’m still GUESTing that Jeff’s trying to tell us something…But WART? Maybe take a little poll? A TADPOLE? Any thoughts, Folks? Hmm….BRISKly went through our words today, nothing to PONDer over. The dialogue though is trICKY! This isn’t hard, but it is trICKY!!! The clues: “Amazing”, “I can’t believe”. The question: “Fascinating”. Dave’s DROPping hints at the word: “RIVETING”. And here’s where the PUN begins! If you didn’t immediately associate FROGS and “RIBBIT”, you definitely needed a comPONDium of your letters to see “RIBBITING”. A lot of “I’s”, right? And, Jeff’s cartoon really didn’t give us any KELP! We see a swamper, wading in the water, GIGGING for FROGS, but they keep BROKEN away. (And speaking of “I’s”, when I tried looking up some FROG info…? My EYES, my EYES! Trust me, things I didn’t KNEEd to see this early in the morning…one could KERMIT suicide)! Most likely, the water’s clammy, but not FRIGID. (Yep, cheap shot for FRIGID I know. FROGet it, it’s all I got)! So what’s HOPpening here? Do you think this guy’s one of those Duck Dynasty types? I like those guys; have you ever METAMOR-PHOSIS-tious bunch? They’re all so FLIPpant, so TONGUE in cheek! I’ve been TOAD they’re always CROAKing jokes. Anyway, looking at todays cartoon, nothing will LEAP off the page, (and you may not SWAMP to JUMP to conclusions). Which is why it might have been necessary to write out those letters. All in all, a TOADally clever pun. The eye candy? The tree on the right side background? A Buzzard! Or is it a Vulture? Either or, he had me CARRION on!
So, Monday morning, and a great puzzle! WART better way to start off the week? Make the most of today, don’t let it just FLY by! 🎶”SLIME..is on your side, yes it is…”🎶 🐸🙋🏻

CARTOON ANSWER:  AFTER WEEDS TOOK OVER HER GARDEN, SHE GAVE UP AND – –

RHWELETOTNHRIWET – – –  THREW IN THE “TROWEL”

Good morning, Everyone!   “WEED IT AND REAP”!

🎶”Inch by inch, row by row, gonna make this garden grow, All it takes is a rake and a hoe and a piece of fertile ground; Inch by inch, row by row, Someone bless these seeds I sow; Someone warm them from below, ’til the rain comes tumbling down…”🎶 Today’s puzzle, “Growing the Garden”. Takes hands and knees with dirt and seeds!…And patience. A LOT of patience. So, LETTUCE DIG right in!

Our words today are all ones we’ve SEED before. Easy, PEASy, with a FRESH take on the scrambling. HYBRID fits the puzzles’ theme, since there’s a lot of talk about HYBRID VEGETABLES lately. BEAUTYful to look at, but are they healthy? (And we all know that health is WEALTH). I can really (PHOTO)-SYMPATHIZE with the woman in our cartoon, BEAN there, done that. Even though I’m now having good THYMES PLANTing VEGETABLES, at first, I really didn’t CARROT all. I’d just as RATHER go buy them, no FIG deal. But once I really comMINTed to doing it, I was truly aMAIZEd at how it GREW on me. When that first little CUTE-CUMBER came up…LOTION behold, I was thrilled! It brought me such inner PEAS! But it did take patience. Our couple in the cartoon? Just looking at her face, we can see her frustration with all those WEEDS. She’s SOY disappointed. And maybe adding to the frustration is the fact that instead of giving her a hand, the guy’s WEASELing out…He TURNIPS with a golf club! Oh, KALE no! What a RAW deal this is! No wonder she’s “quitting”, “giving up”. Great wording…And then, Jeff catches her…THROWING in the “TROWEL”! Oh my GOURD, you can’t BEET this, right? Good job, guys! And that’s also my eye candy today, the TROWEL being thrown to the GROUND. SOW….Sadly, no cause for her to CELERYbrate, but I YAM UNDERstanding. TUBERd she didn’t stick with it though. I really DIG my GARDEN. It makes me SOW happy, from my head tomatoes!

SOW, Folks, THISTLE do it. Happy Funday Sunday!
And may PEAS ROMAINE with you all!  🌽🙋🏻

CARTOON ANSWER:  DRACULA STARTED PAYING FOR PLASMA BECAUSE HE KNEW THAT – – –

OLLELSDBOS – –  BLOOD “SELLS”

Good morning, Everyone! Who’s NECKS??

Two VAMPIRES walk into a bar. First one says, “I’ll have a pint of BLOOD”. Second one says, “I’ll have a pint of PLASMA”. Bartender says..”Ok, so that’ll be one BLOOD, and one BLOOD LIGHT”! BA-BOOM! I’m not POSITIVE, but it looks like this might be it for the COLOR commentary today. I’ll LEVEL with you, even though I LITERally laughed out loud when I saw the solve this morning, BLOOD doesn’t exactly lend itself to comedy. And VAMPIRES? NEGATIVE, never saw the atTRACTion. But I’ll BITE…A little PRESSURE, but let’s just see how it FLOWS. Our words today: Easy, breezy, like we always hope our BLOOD work goes. I’ll STICK my NECK out here, and say we’ve seen them before, maybe not REAGENTcely. ( Oh, yea, that’s a stretch! I told you I’d get STUCK on this)! BIOPSY? Is Dave NEEDLING us with this one? Very FITting. SANDAL?  DONATE me, I got nothing! The cartoon. The MAIN two clues:.DRACULA, COUNTing out some money, paying for the PLASMA, and a female VAMPIRE asking RED or WHITE. BLOOD CELLS.. Red/white? Paying for? ..Making a sale? …BLOOD “SELLS”! Very GHOUL, guys, you’ve done it again! So, what’s catching my eye? The male VAMPIRE buying a PINT? SERUM? He’s not DRAWN like Jeff’s usual men. Something a little more distinctive about him. The hair, the jaw? I’m thinking Jeffrey Dean Morgan, a FINE SPECIMEN of a man. (I’d BAT my eyes at him)! But, he’s not on the VAMPIRE Diaries, he’s on the Walking DEAD. I’ve never seen either show, they’re not my TYPE of ENTERtainment, but something about that face is FANGtastic!
So, Folks, that’s it, I took a STAB at it. Wasn’t easy. And, today I really have a lot on my PLATE..LET’S hope it’ll be enough. Otherwise, we’ll have to go in a HOLE other VEIN…
Happy Day, Everyone! Be POSITIVE, take a POKE at something new…💉🙋🏻

Good morning, Everyone! What an enDEERing Puzzle!

🎶”OH, That’s the way, uh-huh, uh-huh..I LIKE IT, uh-huh, uh-huh; That’s the way
Uh-huh, uh-huh I LIKE IT..”🎶

Oh, my DEER…Now THIS is a puzzle to sink your teeth into! Today we have not just the pun, and the play on words, but we have one of those words whose pronunciation can be a double-edged sword! But no matter how we cut it, this is one to ROOT for! I’m going to do the eye candy first. CEDAR cute little squirrel? I’m all..🎶”It had to be YEW”! 🎶 LOL…Our words: Today I think they’re perfectly suited FIR this puzzle. The tiniest bit of a challenge, but we’re not BITING off more than we can CHEW! Going out on a LIMB again, it’s my oPINEion that we’ve seen them before. Except maybe ACIDIC. If we have, Dave’s given it a whole new TEAR! ACQUIT, unfortunately has become an everyday word. You read a paper today, you see ACQUIT! (And HENCE, those acquittals have become FODDER for a lot of late night one-LINERs)! But, I digress…

OAK-Kay, now, INTO the WOODS! Jeff’s giving us two DEERS eating from the BARK of the tree. “It’s good”, …they’re (LIKING) “LICHEN” it! FIR real? WILLOW look at this! LEAF it to him, to give us so MULCH of a TREEt! LICHEN, in a NUTshell, is a combination of fungus and algae that grows on rocks, TREES, and the gravestones of our DEERly departed. (Ironically, it’s alive)! The pronunciation of it, is what I FERNly beLEAF may STUMP us a bit. Not to worry, it’s not overwELMing! ASH and ye shall receive!  In American English, we say “LIKEN”, the more POPLAR pronunciation. But, ACORNding to the British, it’s “Li-t-chen”, like kitchen! Let’s be honest, it “looks” like kitchen, right? Who knows, maybe it’s just a matter of TASTE! Maybe we should BRANCH out and use both! WALNUT?
Friday, Everyone! I’m LOVIN’ it! Happy day to all! 🌳🐿 🙋🏻

🌺 HAPPY NATIONAL NEW JERSEY DAY, TO ALL OUR GARDEN STATE FRIENDS! 🌺

Good Morning, Everyone! This one’s for the BIRDS!

🎶”Hey, BIRD DOG get away from my quail, Hey, BIRD DOG you’re on the wrong trail, BIRD DOG you better leave my lovely-dovey alone. Hey BIRD DOG get away from my chick, Hey BIRD DOG you better get away quick, BIRD DOG you better find a chicken little of your own…”🎶. What a week…Seems like it’s just FLYING by, right?  But, can we ROOST for just a second and tAUK about our puzzles? Fish and birds and dogs and “ducts”! I’ve been FAUNAing over what we’ve seen these last few days! It’s alMOLT like there’s a patTERN here. What’s NEST, guys? How much MOA of this will we see? (Am I OWL by myself with these questions)? FEATHER or not, it’s just that you’ve definitely BEAKed my interNEST,  and I’m wondering what else you’ll HATCH up for us. I thought maybe you could SHED some light on the suBUDGIEct…

Ok, WREN we look at today’s words, we’re SEEDing nothing new. If I’m not NESTaken, when we had UPHILL not too long ago, it CAWsed some tears in the VALLEY over its spelling – One word or two? And FABLE? I think we did the “el” vs “le” thing. PANDA?…It was a grin and bear it!  MI,….GRATE words, better scrambles. But the real COO for Dave is the cartoon’s description. I’ll go out on a LIMB and say the wording made it a FLY AWAY solve. The dialogue…”doesn’t bother me”. The sentence..”never got upset”, “always composed”…Showing such calmness in a crisis? “UNFLAPPABLE”! And then the drawing. Here’s where Jeff TWEAKED it just right. It’s that one ANGRY BIRD, so RUFFLEd up and FLAPPING his wings that CLUTCHed it for me. Poor little guy, he can’t THRUSH away fast enough! Good job guys. Another WINGer! You TOUCAN take a bow; such TALONt! Today’s eye candy? I’m CROWing with the BIRD and the shrug. Totally UnPERCHturbed and PECKish! He came to eat, and nothing’s ROBIN him of that! So, that’s TIT! Oh wait…one more thing. That crazy, barking dog? I guess he just can’t take that TWEETING anymore. Let’s face it, Folks, God knows how crazy that TWEETING can get, right?…Let us PREY…
Ok, I’m FLYING the COOP, and bringing it HUM. Wishing us all a RHEA good day! 🐦 🙋🏻

CARTOON ANSWER:

WHEN IT CAME TO CATCHING TROUT, THE SKILLED ANGLER WAS —

SHNFTIERPOI = “PRO-FISH-IENT”

Good Wednesday morning my friends!  COZIER was the only word that I had a difficult time with and I would have expected it to be easier because it had a Z in it.  The fact that it was jumbled as a comparative adjective was enough to throw me off and give my brain quite a workout.  Moving on to the cartoon, we encounter two men in a stream doing a bit of fly fishing.  Reading the dialogue, I immediately picked up on the words “gifted angler” as well as “skilled angler” in the sentence.  Looking at the letter layout, FISH seemed like the obvious word to start with.  Crossing out the letters caused me to see PRO leaving IENT for the finish.

This is my last post for a couple of weeks as we are leaving for vacation later this afternoon.  I’ll be sure to check in from time to time and post a few photos.  Angela will be taking over the reins in the meantime and I wish her the best of luck!  Happy Jumbling and I’ll see you soon! 🙂

Good Tuesday morning my friends!  The clue words weren’t overly difficult and I managed to get through them quickly and without any trouble whatsoever.  I don’t recall seeing them used before so it was refreshing to have some new material.  Moving on to the cartoon, we arrive at JUMBLECO headquarters where a new HVAC system has just been installed.  The two engineers seem confident that everything conforms to their technical diagram, while a lone technician on a scissor lift can be seen putting some finishing touches on one final spot.  The final solution came to me instantly and was no trouble at all.  The letter layout was cryptic and brilliantly jumbled.  If the answer wasn’t obvious to you, A was a given for the single letter and working on the two letter word would have eliminated a few letters to make it easier for DUCTS and ROW to come into view.  Have a terrific Tuesday and I’ll see you tomorrow!

OEGRUSPR = GROUPERS

Good Monday morning everyone and welcome back to another week of Jumble fun! After cooking the kids a wonderful breakfast and getting them occupied with some rainy day activities, I can finally take a few minutes to enjoy the Jumble with my coffee. Excellent clue words this morning with APPEAR being the only word to give me few extra seconds of pause. Moving on to the cartoon, you didn’t need to be a brain sturgeon to figure this one out. It appears the setting for this one is a dive bar where a trio of fish are jamming away and entertaining the crowd with some old school rock. You could even say they’re putting their heart and sole into it! The letter layout was excellent but I had an idea as to what the solution was before starting the final solve. Interestingly enough, I saw that the letters could also spell out REGROUPS, but only GROUPERS made sense. My favorite part of the cartoon had to be the tuna fish can drums that I’ve added a photo of down below. Jeff gave us one hull of a drawing and I bet he’s fishing for some compliments, so I’ll just say it has me kraken up. Have a marvelous Monday and I’ll sea you tomorrow. 🙂

Funny story…Last Sunday, when we had that Boxing puzzle, I FLINCHed a little. Recognizing Don King ringside, (Who WALNUT recognize the man with the hair that defied gravity)! I figured, no FLIGHT of fancy here, this had to be a PRO Fight. So I took ADVANTAGE of videos in the Boxing ARCADE. I FOLLOWed THROUGH, and MATCHed the OPPONENTS and the ref to FOOTage of actual boxers. Figured I ACEd it. So I went HEAVY on a friendly wager. I should have said a HAIL MARY..I should have asked Jeff FIRST..SERVEice it to say, I fell FLAT! So, this week, even though in my GUT I think we’re looking at Fernando Gonzalez losing to Roger Federer, I’m going to PUTAWAY my feelings, and NET take a STANCE. Good Saturday morning, my friends!  There’s no better way to start the day than with a Jumble puzzle and a cup of coffee, so let’s get right down to business.  Excellent word choices today with UDDER giving me pause right from the start.  After thinking about it for a few seconds, it finally came to me and I finished the remaining words without any trouble.  The cartoon answer came instantly and I didn’t even need to write out the clue letters.  I had to laugh when I noticed the forklift in the background carrying five cushions as it was the same amount of cushions the woman with the hand truck had!  I’ll zoom in on the vending machine when the puzzle is published online to see if Jeff left us any Jumble treats.  Have a super Saturday and I’ll see you tomorrow.  🙂
