Ah, MUSIC:  🎶🎶🎶 …With charms to soothe the savage beast. ( NOTE: no quotation marks, I’m intentionally paraphrasing). Beast just makes so much more sense! Where would we be without Music, the true universal language? We all love words, (or we wouldn’t be reading this), but what’s the words without the Music? 🎶🎶🎶

Today’s words, once again, only took me a MINUET.  Even Absurd, which SOUNDS absurd, because I always think it needs a P. There seems to be nothing cryptic about the last few puzzles; great puzzles, but easy, breezy obvious answers. Today’s cartoon made it so simple, with the NOTES on the sheet music, the one monk using the word extraordinary, and the other the word CYMBALS! (You know I had to get that one in…I was chomping at the bit the minute I saw the puzzle! I’m not proud)!…HA…And finally, within the few letters needed to solve, WRITE off we saw the word NOTE.

There are enough puns and one liners relating to today’s puzzle, to choke a horse. (Again, with the reference to horses; I could have used these the other day)! Raise your BATONS, fellow word PUNdits, and PITCH a few of your own.  We could make beautiful 🎶 music 🎶 together!
