Jumble Answer for 04/26/2017

Mike, This one’s for you! ๐Ÿน

Good morning, everyone!

Happy National Pretzel Day! ย CARPe diem!

Like shooting FISH in a barrel! That’s how we can look at today’s words. Easy, breezy. Filled them in REEL quick. ย As for the answer, nothing to TACKLE here. It’s a very commonly known phrase; and even if it’s not one you’re that familiar with, the dialogue: “Pass the sunscreen”,ย and the cartoon showing the men relaxing with rays emanating from the sun, tipped the SCALES!

So, Puzzle CHUMS, you may be wondering “What’s the CATCH”? ….”Where’s the beef”? ย  (Not everyone likes fish)! ย I guess today was simply a little treat, just for the HALIBUT! ย ย WATER ย you think? ย  Let MINNOW!

Raining here in NY for the second day, but I wish you all a day in the sun.

Until tomorrow.๐ŸŽฃ ย ๐Ÿšฃ ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿป

  1. Good puzzle from the first “NIBBLE” down to the last “BITE”. Golfing in 90 minutes Rain in the PM

  2. ….”News at 11…”! Gotta love wit in the early morning! Enjoy your game…it wouldn’t be the same without you.

  3. Good morning and Happy National Pretzel Day to you. Now that I know it I can send it out to my family. Hey guys you missed the boat with your songs. Have you forgotten “looking for an echo” by Kenny Lance or “”Blue Bayou”by Roy Orbison just to name a few. The puzzle like you said was easy breezy. Even John would be proud. It was under a minute. I do prefer a little challenge though. Till tomorrow keep your line taunt and stay healthy.

    • Good morning, Paul. I love it! “Missed the boat” Good one! I don’t know if you noticed, but I posted at 5:30 and have to admit I was rushing; was going out to breakfast at 6. All the fish puns were popping into my head, and I didn’t think boat”. Good “CATCH”! And I love Blue Bayou…I’m def off my game today! Like you, I enjoy the more challenging puzzles too. Hopefully trow. Enjoy your day! ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿป

      • No one has used “hooked” in any of their puns—anyone have some clever phrases?? Or using rays with manta?? Sunny AM here in Western NY and tomorrow promises record-breaking warmth—maybe I’ll be able to “catch some rays” along the Erie Canal

        • Good morning, Earl. You’re right, missed hook. How about, “We’re all hooked on these puzzles”? Glad you’re having good weather. Enjoy your day! ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿป

      • You kidding Angela. You have been sharp as a tack the past two days. Had me laughing numerous times.

        • Hey Paul. Thanks for the shot in the arm! I could use it! And I’m glad I’ve made you laugh a time or two! I’m just not feeling it today, maybe because the puzzle was so easy! Or maybe because I soooo need sleep! Either way, I’m a little off. But, in response to your looking for a song today, I think I found us the perfect one! Lazy and relaxed just like the guys in the boat. I hope you enjoy it! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=XdxYS_zVByg. I hope it works! ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿป

        • Might have to get thru the ad first…you can hit the lower right hand side to skip it once the wording comes up. Let me know what you think. ๐Ÿšฃ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿป

  4. We had 3 rainy days in North Carolina. Have some severe flooding where some rivers are crested and roads closed. Cloudy this morning but the sun is suppose to come out and get up to the 80’s

  5. Enjoyed the jumble today. Pray you have a great day even if it is rainy. “It is what it is, so make the best of it.” I live by that phrase.

    • Good morning Julia. Sorry to here about the weather there. Glad you’re safe. And yes, life is what it is…you have a good outlook. We make the best, right? Hoping you have a blessed day! ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿป

  6. You all are so clever early in the morning. me? not so much. Midnight is when I come alive…but you folks get my day off with a smile —windy here in Texas — but it’s a way of life for us.
    btw – easy puzzle today.

    • Hi Rita. Yes! It was a real easy one today. I’m glad we can share our PUNtime. It’s good to smile, ๐Ÿ˜Š no matter what time of day, right? …Now you got we thinking of all these windy songs….! Have a great day! ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿป

  7. Easy solve today. Foghorns have been blowing all night here in San Francisco so it’s cool and misty here today. Hope all of you have a good day no matter the weather..

    • Hi Betty. A little too easy, right? I like the sound of foghorns; am I alone with that? Wishing you a good day too! ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿป

  8. Easy puzzle solve today. For puns – brain. not. working. yet.

Drizzle in Oakland this AM, but a weather story in the paper yesterday said this may very well be the last rain of the season, until November. Said once we hit May, that’s usually pretty much it. Not a problem with water, though after this record year. Our water supplier, the aptly named EBMUD (East Bay Municipal Utilities District) sent a report that said “Not one more drop needed”; the reservoirs are all full after 5 years of drought.

    • Hey Steve, Good morning! You ‘gotta do better than this EPA.Report! Throw me a LINE! I’ll give you some time to get the brain in gear…I realize it’s still early for you. Don’t let me down; you know LURE better than this! ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿป

  9. Hello everyone! We are in party mode down here in Florida where the sun is shining and the GISMWMNI is non-stop! Angela is doing a FANTASTIC job and I’m having a blast reading all the comments. See you all bright and early Monday morning!!! ๐Ÿ˜Žโ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿน

    • Mr Miyagi! How are you? So glad you have good weather! I’m so worried that I may be turning your Baby into a 3-Ring circus! I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say you’re sorely missed. I think I’ve caused many a headache here! LOL. Enjoy the rest of your trip…Be well. ๐ŸŠ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿป

  10. What newspaper website is the best to get the jumble if my newspaperpersin missed my delivery?

    • What online newspaper or website is best to obtain the obtain the daily jumble if I have a paper delivery problem?

      • Hi Lonnie. The Post Star prints the Jumble exactly as you’d see it each day in your paper. It’s in black and white, and the cartoon is extremely clear allowing you to appreciate the smallest details. The Seattle Times also prints the Jumble, but it’s featured as part of its’ games. The words and cartoon are the same, but it’s formatted differently. What’s good here is that the cartoon is in color, which adds to its appeal. Hope this helps. ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿป

  11. Hey Steve, ๐ŸŽถ “Where have you gone, Joe DiMaggio”?๐ŸŽถ. Missed that witty repartee. Might have overplayed my hand on that last comment. No harm, no foul? Goodnight, Gracie

    • No harm, no foul, just “had nothin'” -is that what they say in Brooklyn? No inspiration for me and an overcast drizzly day, but loved your summary, as usual. Nice to hear from Mike, no?

      • You’re being too kind to Brooklyn. More like. GOT NUT-IN. Same here, I didn’t feel it today. Not enough sleep. Out of the house too early. Mets not hitting. Freaking birds still putting up condos in my awning. Runnin’ on empty. Got renovations starting on my house trow, and I’m already down to that last nerve. What was I thinking? Renovations! Hope I don’t end up in the papers! LOL. Yea, good to hear from the Master! He emailed me so I could cry to him in private…HA. He’s a really nice guy. Did you hear the song I linked to Paul? Made me smile. So sick of hearing Trumps’ name..what a bunch. The gang that couldn’t shoot straight. Jeez, I’m just a ball of positive energy tonight, huh? And I sound like I got ADHD!
