Jumble Answers for 12/12/2016

CERKW = WRECK

GIBEE = BEIGE

VAHENE = HEAVEN

CHERNW = WRENCH

CARTOON ANSWER:

WEKBIGHANWECH = “WEIGH” BACK WHEN

Good Monday morning my friends!  The clue words were well jumbled but posed no real problem this morning.  If you were hung up on one of the words, BEIGE would most likely be the culprit.  With all of them solved it was on to the cartoon.  Looking at the letters, I wasn’t too sure where to start.  The dialogue had me thinking that one of the words would have something to do with time.  On a whim I wrote down WHEN and that’s when everything fell neatly into place.  BACK was next and WEIGH finished it for a stinky pun!  It’s a wintry mix here in the Granite State this morning.  It’s too warm here at the coast for snow so all we have is a sloppy mix of less than an inch.  The upper part of the state will have 3-8 inches when it’s all said and done. The school gave the kids a 2 hour delay and my newspaper is late so I had to do the puzzle from the online edition.  Have a great day and I’ll see you tomorrow!  πŸ™‚

  1. CWs a snap. I have 2 successful ways to solve puzzles. I just stare at it for a bit and sometimes it just jumps up for me, like today. If that does not work I leave the puzzle for a little bit and am amazed at how quickly I get answers sometimes when I go back to it.Then sometimes I cannot solve the simplest of them.

    • Morning Harry! If I can’t figure out a word I just memorize the letters and walk around thinking about it. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. I know Lelia uses Scrabble tiles and works it out that way. Have a super day amigo!

    • Great job on finding WEIGH right out of the gate, Stew! There was no WEIGH I would have been able to find it first. And thanks for the nice compliment about my commentary. I just throw out whatever seem’s to be on my mind early in the morning. Have a fantastic day! πŸ˜€

      • Thank goodness for an easy one, altho — after I got all the words, I had no clue about the puzzle. I did the crossword and the Su-Do-Ku, went back and the answer to the puzzle came right to me. Have a good week everyone. Rita

      • Still no newspaper for me — most likely on account of the snow. I didn’t have any comics during my coffee so I’m not on “schedule” today. I don’t do the Sudoku and only sometimes will I attempt the crossword puzzle. See you tomorrow, Rita! 😊

  2. Finished words and comic in two minutes after taking an hour for one last week. After reading comic once, thought I’d have a hard time but seconds later all 3 words came to me at once. I squeaked with glee. Loved your commentary today, as usual.
    Forgot to comment Friday that we would spend all day Saturday at a big Christmas party with Arizona Prospector’s Association. Great time and tons of food, but wore me out. I slept until almost noon again today.
    Two things popped into my head yesterday. I am not a poet; therefore, my apologies to those who are:
    JUMBLE! JUMBLE! OH, WHAT FUN!
    WORDS THEN COMIC ‘TIL YOU’RE DONE.
    SOME YOU FINISH VERY FAST.
    OTHERS SEEM TO LAST AND LAST.
    JUMBLE WITH NEW FALLEN SNOW,
    OR WITH CACTUS IN A ROW.
    ONCE YOU’RE HOOKED, THEN YOU WILL SAY,
    “HAPPY WAY TO START MY DAY!”
    The next one is a limerick which is 5 lines of fun.
    A JUMBLER WHO LIVES NEAR A BEACH,
    ON HIS WEBSITE, JUMBLING DOES TEACH.
    I READ EVERY DAY
    WHAT HE HAS TO SAY.
    GREAT FUN! BUT HIS SKILLS I CAN’T REACH.
    I have no idea how these lines will print out, so good luck. See ‘ya soon.

    • Good afternoon, Lelia! I have to say that you sure do have a way with words. Your poem and limerick will go down as the BEST comment I have ever received! I’m sure David and Jeff would blush a bit after reading it as well. They’re the real heroes for making a puzzle that we can all share, discuss, and have a little fun with. Have a terrific day! 😊😊😊
