I gave up on the solution… too many 8 letter words possible.. and nothing jumped out at me for the 5 letter word – “circle” – I had only 1 “c” and “round” – I had no “o” and no “d” – had to cheat to get it.
The cartoon was no help ar all for me. Neither saw nor read anything that would make one think “curve”. Had to give up!
It was tricky, however; there’s always tomorrow Steve! 😉😉😉

I was thinking “glaring issue” or something….tough one! The V was throwing me off!
I was lucky I figured out CURVE first and then had an “ING” left to figure out the next word (LEARNING). 😀
I got the words quickly but the solution to puzzle took me longer. But fun puzzle.

I did the words rather quickly ..but the solution took quite a while …….good one thou.
I got the words. My first thought on the answer was “rounding error”. Too many r’s and no d and the v threw me off. The cartoon was clueless.
