  1. October 6 answer isn’t fair. The newspaper shows the answer as being two blocks: one block of three letters and the other eight letters. It should have one letter, hyphen, four letters, hyphen, and four letters. Is one supposed to guess to add hyphens? I’m curious.

    • Hi Marie. The last example you gave of one letter, hyphen, four letters, hyphen, four letters is how the puzzle was printed in my newspaper. The puzzle does not require players to guess where to place hyphens — they are printed in the final answer between words. Perhaps you are looking at a puzzle from another date by mistake?
