  1. Good Morning, Everyone…I hope this finds you well…
    👩🏻‍🎓 SAY IT LOUD…YOU’RE SMART AND THEY’RE PROUD! 👩🏻‍🎓

    🎶HELLO…Is it me you’re looking for…🎶 “Hello” – Lionel Richie 1983 https://tinyurl.com/nrtvm6tm

👩🏻‍🎓 Some parents may just SHRUG off the things that their kids learn,
But it is so important to have praise…for kids do yearn…
To feel that they are reaching the ladder’s UPPER rungs,
A lesson from a PRIMER tells you build confidence young…
But as a parent we don’t want some INFAMY to dwell,
So it’s important to assure your kid’s head doesn’t swell
It’s not an easy job today to balanced children raise…
So compliment your kids…but just be honest with “HI” PRAISE! 👩🏻‍🎓

Just for the record, I’m all for praising kids. Positive reinforcement is essential for building confidence in a child…And there’s nothing like seeing the look on a kid’s face when you tell them that they’ve done a good job with something…But these Karens and Kens out there…who are raising another generation of mistakenly entitled little humans? That SMARTs…

Ok. Our words…all old favorites, but our anagrams are coming up as new. And except for a momentary blip when 2 of the Early Birds saw Empire instead of PRIMER…it was all an easy, breezy go of it this morning. The solve? PRAISE the Lord…it couldn’t have been any simpler…

And once again, it was all in the dialogue…The parents going a bit overboard in acknowledging their young daughter’s accomplishment? “So smart”…”A genius”…Just for learning how to say “HI” in a few languages? Yep, definitely “HI PRAISE”! And I’m loving the wit!

So, There you have it Folks, Done. Have a great day…Be well, and stay safe…And keep in mind..If you’re out drinking, and someone fawns over you a little too much…take heed and think about it…That kind of high praise is probably just that…👩🏻‍🎓🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Feeling the painters were taking way too long to apply PRIMER in the UPPER rooms, he teased them about INFAMY…trying to spur them into going faster…but when it didn’t register, he gave a SHRUG and tried some HIGH PRAISE instead…🤷🏻‍♂️

🤦🏻‍♀️ Behind schedule as usual, it’s INFAMY came to mind,
Notorious for being late…she’d earned the name in time..
Rushed now to do her eye makeup, her PRIMER she applied,
And spilled some on her SHRUG…and for a brief moment she cried
The UPPER part now soiled, proving rushing never pays…
She changed her clothes and thought…another day without HIGH PRAISE! 🤦🏻‍♀️

  3. Today is NATIONAL MAD HATTER DAY…🎩

The Mad Hatter is a character in Lewis Carroll’s 1865 book Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and its 1871 sequel Through the Looking Glass.

During the trial of the Knave of Hearts, the King of Hearts remarks upon the Hatter’s headgear. The character’s signature top hat comes from John Tenniel’s illustrations for the first edition, in which the character wears a large top hat with a hatband reading “In this style 10/6”. This refers to the cost of the hat in shillings and pence, so it’s the 10/6 that makes October 6th the date chosen for National Mad Hatter Day. It was started in 1986 by a group of computer programmers who decided to celebrate a day of silliness by wearing top hats that were inspired by Tenniel’s illustrations…And since then it has become a day to wear a hat and indulge in all kinds of silliness…And why not? We all deserve a bit of silliness now and then, especially in light of things today…So grab yourself a hat and have some fun on this Mad Hatter Day! 🎩🙋🏻‍♀️

  4. Good morning! Easy one ! I just SHRUG my shoulders and maybe go down in IMFAMY ! Had to stay up and do it , hope today is as beautiful of weather as it was yesterday, we all went to a winery and sat outside in the UPPER section and had a beautiful evening. Have a wonderful day everyone !!!

  5. Good morning. No problem again today. Third day in a row. Easy as a Sunday morning. Enjoyed the video song Angela. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

    • Good Morning, Paul. Glad you enjoyed it. Have a good one. Be well and stay safe. 👩🏻‍🎓🙋🏻‍♀️

  6. Joining others, yes it was an easy Jumble morning….but without a Blind Solve. Kind of had an idea of HI before solving anagrams but nothing materialized. With anagrams solved, all fell into place. Just cryptic enough to be a good puzzle morning !!

    • Good puzzle indeed, Terry. Cute and clever as always. Have a good one…and stay safe out there…👩🏻‍🎓🙋🏻‍♀️

  7. I Shrug now, but my failure to use Primer on the walls of the Upper floor of my house landed me in in family Infamy when I thought to receive “Hi” Praise for saving money. The song I’ve go to go to is by the Doors. “Hello, I love you, won’t you tell me your name?” Good weather continues on the Great Plains and so it goes.

    • I like your song choice, OO…High Praise! 😉 Hope your day goes well! Enjoy! 👩🏻‍🎓🙋🏻‍♀️

  8. If to a wider world you aspire
Then it’s a great idea to acquire
    Another language or tongue
And in places near and far-flung
There are those who will note and admire!

    • Hi Helen…🙋🏻‍♀️

👩🏻‍🎓Hello is the word of the day,
In four languages hear our girl say…
      Her parents impressed,
      And you know the rest…
Their pride in her on full display…👩🏻‍🎓

🤷🏻‍♀️ All parents think their kids are bright,
And their pride in them does come to light…
      But with children to raise,
When you dish out the praise…
Be careful your tongue you don’t bite! 🤷🏻‍♀️

      🗣Hawaiian and Chinese we hear,
With Spanish and French also clear…
      And were she to meet,
      People who she could greet…
I’m sure that they’d deem her quite dear! 🗣

👏🏻 We love to see our children learn,
And for knowledge most children do yearn…
So we praise them for sure,
      Confidence to assure…
And the praise we hope they’ll look to earn! 👏🏻

👩🏻‍🎓 Second languages always a plus,
And in this case parents make a fuss…
      ‘Cause their child learned four,
      And they truly adore…
Her intelligence which they discuss! 👩🏻‍🎓

      • Great limericks Angela!

I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to learn other languages, specifically French, which led to a great career. In the USA you have to opportunity to learn Spanish and it surprises me that relatively English-speaking Americans take advantage of that.

  9. No problem w the anagrams or cartoon solution on this foggy Wednesday morning,it is Wednesday, isn’t it? Congrats to the Bosox on their win over the Yankees and their big million $ signee, Cole, who had his shortest outing of this year.

    • Hi Professor…Yes, definitely Wednesday! Let’s hope the rest of the week goes as well! Enjoy your day! 👩🏻‍🎓🙋🏻‍♀️

  10. Hi Everyone – A rare blind solve for me, but I did have to back into Primer. Interesting about Mad Hatter Day and 10/6, Angela.

    • Good Morning, Caroline. I’m glad you enjoyed the Mad Hatter tale! Have a great day…and stay safe out there…👩🏻‍🎓🙋🏻‍♀️

    • Definitely an easy one…And wishing you a fun day too, Mig…👩🏻‍🎓🙋🏻‍♀️

  11. Another easy breezy day. 🎩 Hats off to all of you on Mad Hatters Day. We could all use a little silly from time to time.
