  1. Is it bad that I am still using and ABACUS for math? My attention was DIVERTED by a SNARL in traffic. Overall my achievement was GRAND and should make many sing!!
I like that Star Wars Day is MAY THE FORTH BE WITH YOU!!! I would add MAY THE FIFTH BE SINGLE MALT SCOTCH…..
Hope you all are doing well and enjoying the easy early week Js…………………..

  2. Good Morning, Everyone… 💂🏻‍♂️ THE ORIGINAL YARD GUARDS! 💂🏻‍♂️

🎶 When the night has come, and the land is dark, and the moon is the only light we’ll see…No I won’t be afraid, no I-I-I won’t be afraid…Just as long as you STAND..STAND by me… 🎶 “Stand By Me” – Ben E King 1961 https://tinyurl.com/4zub6t8p

💂🏻‍♂️ The Queen’s Guard is their proper name, a stalwart group are they,
They guard the Palace with their life, on duty night and day
They have the utmost bearing, it’s a GRAND presence they lend,
And discipline they do uphold, tradition to no end…
Too often we see tourists, who’ll SNARL, and sometimes laugh,
Trying to get them to give in and perhaps show a gaffe…
But these men are a breed so rare, not much tends to DIVERT,
Oblivious to rudeness, even to women who flirt…
Like beads on an ABACUS, these strong men are rarely marred…
And they’re protectors of the Queen…these men we see STAND GUARD! 💂🏻‍♂️

As any die-hard Jumble fan knows, we’ve been to London many, many times over the years. And we’ve caught a glimpse of the Queen’s Guard HEIR and there…But today, it’s all about them…They’re the sentry of attention…And that’s ok with me…if they can STAND it, so can I…

Our words: Once again today, we’re dealing with a group that are TRIED and TRUE, so feel free to let your GUARD down. But our anagrams seem to be serving DUTY for the first time, so that’s interesting. I guess David’s been saving them for a REIGNy day, so to speak. WALES, whatever the reason, the Early Birds SAT DOWN and easily marched through the lot of them…

So, Buckingham Palace, and the Queen’s GUARD. https://tinyurl.com/nt2yj2me And tourists – a family of four. But Folks, this is laid out so well HEIR, that I can just SIT this one out…The GUARDs STANDing there so ramrod straight? The dialogue asking “do they get to move”?…And “marching 10 paces, but going back to their STATIONS”? Plus the word “Protectors” used in our question, instead of GUARD? They…STAND GUARD! WALEs…Bearskin Hats off to David once again!

Jeff’s Gems? I like how the picture being taken is visible on the screen of the Dad’s phone…But the clincher today? Our guy’s wearing a Fanny Pack! https://tinyurl.com/us3mjz95 Are they STANDard fashion-fare again? Well, I Googled it, and found this from last July …”After making a monumental comeback, the FANNY PACK has officially solidified its spot as a fashion mainstay. Season after season, powerhouse brands present their own takes on the tourist-inspired accessory, which means there is a wide range of options on the market”. So…Uh, yes… I guess that TRADITION continues…

So, There you have it Folks, Done! Have a good one. Be well, stay safe…And I can’t wait until we all can safely let our guards down again…It can’t come a moment too soon…💂🏻‍♂️🙋🏻‍♀️

  3. 🧮 Having finally acquired an ancient ABACUS, it was his GRAND possession; and refusing to DIVERT his attention away from it, he was known to SNARL at anyone who got too close when he’d STAND GUARD over it at exhibitions…🧮

👸🏻 She felt like an ABACUS, her emotions up and down,
Not knowing should she go ahead and try on that GRAND crown…
Her nerves inside, she felt them SNARL, her thoughts would not DIVERT,
She was afraid to speak out loud…(a drink now wouldn’t hurt)…
Her friend told her…”Yes, try it on…you’ll look just like a Queen,
What do you care what people think…Your wedding? You should preen”
And eyeing it so lovingly, deciding really hard…
She tried it on…but only with her friend there to STAND GUARD! 👸🏻

  4. After a few blunders in the past few days, my confidence returned with todays puzzle….all completed in less than 30 or so seconds (though I don’t really time myself). Puzzle answer came to me in a flash, and then the words followed. Oh to have all Jumble mornings such as this one. And puzzle makes us want to return to England/Europe and tour again !! Hope that happens soon.

    • Yes, Terry, definitely an easy, breezy one today. And from your lips to God’s ears…I’m hoping too! Enjoy your day. 💂🏻‍♂️🙋🏻‍♀️

  5. Nothing to Divert me today and solved all anagrams with nary a Snarl which is a Grand feeling that happens seldom and no need of an Abacus to count. Stand Guard fellow puzzle enthusiasts because Wednesday can be a woeful test. Happy birthdays to Heather Kozar (45) and Soozie Tyrell (64). May the Fourth Be With You!

    • Not to worry, OO. I’m sure we’ll get over Wednesday’s hump! And May the 4th be with you too! 💂🏻‍♂️🙋🏻‍♀️

    • “The sap in the Alderaan freely in the warming weather, but the syrup it produced was terrible!”

  6. A Monday easy puzzle on a Tuesday, no less, with a quick instant solve on the anagrams, and a blind solve on the cartoon, with the obvious guards, standing guard. Being back from the weekend with a real paper at hand also helped. Have a great Star Wars day. Even this retired Math prof didn’t use an abacus, but I did use a bulky huge mechanical calculator .

    • Calculators, indeed! How times have changed! And wishing you a great Star Wars Day too, Professor! 🤖🙋🏻‍♀️

  7. Good morning. This is a follow up on an earlier post that never went through. A condensed version. No problem on either end. Loved your song choice Angela. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

    • Good Morning, Paul. I wonder why it never went through. I checked the spam folder here, and it’s not there…🤷🏻‍♀️ But I’m glad you’ve tried again…And I’m glad you enjoyed the song. It’s a good one…Here’s hoping you’re well and safe too, Paul. Enjoy your day. 💂🏻‍♂️🙋🏻‍♀️

  8. I’m marching in step with the rest of the Jumblers who solved today’s puzzle in record time. Wishing all of you a good Tuesday.

    • LOL! Well said, Betty! 👏🏻👏🏻 And wishing you a good Tuesday too! 💂🏻‍♂️🙋🏻‍♀️

  9. Sooo Monday! Quickly solved! Love the drawing, the dialogue. Just a grand jumble!
Hope we all stand guard against the Covid!
    Christian

  10. Hi all – Like an easy Monday puzzle today; no problem with the words or answer, since they were evading using the word “guard” in the dialog.

    Good wishes to everyone.
