  1. Good Morning, Everyone… 🦴 PSOAS…I WAS SAYING...🦴

🎶 For goodness sakes…I got the HIPpy, HIPpy shake…I can’t stand still with the HIPpy, HIPpy shakes…Ooh, get my thrills now….With the HIPpy, HIPpy shake…🎶 Hippy, Hippy Shake” – Chan Romero 1959 https://tinyurl.com/95p9z5b7

🦴 Synovial might ‘throw you off’…and you’d be on the mark,
I mean the word itself, but still you’d be in the ballpark…
The joints that help us pivot, the joints that help us move,
Are what we’re dealing with today…so let’s get in the groove!
Our bones all HITCH a certain way, and fluid needs SUPPLY,
The lubrication that we need to live life by and by…
Like peeling off an ONION, where the layers always matter,
Joint movement is def vital…not just something that we’d RATHER
So here the Jumble’s showing us a happy guy today…
With two new hips he walks on air…and says, HIP HIP HOORAY! 🦴

Quite recently, one of my cousins had his hip replaced. (And prior to that, his knee). A few months ago, another of my cousins had her second hip replaced. (Actually it was her third hip replacement..don’t ask). And one of my brothers had one of his hips replaced too. To be honest, and not to list them one by one, I think collectively my family’s had about 10 of these Synovial https://tinyurl.com/4rnu2zcm operations. We’re on a first name basis with Orthopedic Surgeons…But my point? Well, after the first of them went through the operation, I sent the big flower and balloon thing with the message..”HIP HIP HOORAY”! It went over big. And I sent the same after we waited out the second surgery. And that was well received.. But by the third? Humph! I guess the novelty wore off with the anesthesia, because my unappreciative family was like…”Uh, again, with the Hip, Hip Hooray”? So the next time? I still sent the whole Get Well display and all…but this time the message was…”You were never HIP to begin with…no BONES about it”! I mean, c’mon …don’t look a gift horse in the mouth, am I right? …Anyway…Bottom line? I caught the answer to today’s puzzle immediately. And I’m sure if I didn’t, my family would definitely have had a BONE to pick with me…

Ok, so I’ve probably WAISTed enough of your time by now, so I’ll do my best to keep the rest of this brief..and I’ll be out of this JOINT. Our words today? Nothing NEW, and one repeat anagram…INONO, from back in 2016. But they’re all easy, breezy and there was no KNEEd for any of the Early Birds to get out of whack. The solve? With our question stating BOTH major JOINTS, and all those “H”s and “P”s? Let’s be honest, Folks…Not much of a STRETCH here today…

Our cartoon? As I stated in my rhyme, we’re looking at one happy camper. And his wife and her friend seem pretty pleased too. He’s out walking, sans pain, and feeling ecstatic. The man’s definitely shouting HIP HIP HOORAY! And you gotta love the way David operates!

Jeff’s Gems? The panel’s pretty CUT and DRY, with the main focus on our trail blazer…And speaking of trails, that’s the Gem. Jeff’s brought us into this park before, along the exact same trail. In fact, we’ve definitely been here three times last year, and possibly four. And once again, looming large in the background is that Clock Tower off in the distance. It’s starting to become as ubiquitous as Jeff’s beloved Signature Sinking Sailboat. And if I’m not mistaken, we haven’t been able to identify it. Are we in Chicago? Somewhere in Indiana? I wish I could tell you, but I really don’t have a LEG TO STAND ON here, plus my TIME is a little TIGHT right now, so I’m going to follow up with some more detail a little later this morning. But in the meantime, if anyone has an idea, please feel free to CUT in.

So…There you have it Folks, Done. Have a good one. Be well, stay safe…and I hope you found the little TAIL about my family HUMERUS…COXA hate to WALK out of here feeling I didn’t leave you with a smile…🦴🙋🏻‍♀️

    • You have one “hip” family, Angela. Maybe someone should go to medical school and become an orthopedic surgeon?

      • Yeah, we’re hip alright! 😉 Arthritis has definitely settled into our bones…no pun intended. Seems like all of us cousins have inherited it from our Mothers, who in turn had inherited it from my Grandmother. Pretty much sucks! But medical school? Personally? I don’t trust too many of them when there’s a knife in their hands! 😂😂 🔪🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. OUT OF THE ARCHIVES…🌴🙋🏻‍♀️
The puzzle of 08/25/17: “When the hula dancers entertained the sailors, the sailors said”…And the solve? …HIP HIP HOORAY!

  3. 🧅 Needing an ONION, but the HITCH being that she’d run out, she decided that she’d RATHER try shallots instead, since a SUPPLY was growing wildly in her garden…and the result…HIP HIP HOORAY…the recipe turned out delicious! 🧅

👨🏻‍✈️He thought about a second HITCH, the Army not so bad,
He’d RATHER serve his country than go back to what he had…
It did SUPPLY him with the things that helped him to mature,
(Although the ONION-peeling stint…now that was quite the bore)
He thought it over carefully…To go or should he stay?
And he re-upped…and his Sarge said “Good choice..HIP HIP HOORAY”!👨🏻‍✈️

  4. Good morning. I did a fast walk over this jumble this morning. Absolutely no hesitation on any of the words and after putting down the letters and looking at the cartoon the answer was immediate. You gave me more than a smile Angela on your funny story. Perfect comeback after the third time. Another hit on your song choice as well. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

    • Good Morning, Brooklyn. A fast walk indeed! 👏🏻👏🏻! And I agree, it definitely was a walk in the park! 😉And thank you..I’m glad you enjoyed it all…Family, huh? 😉 Have a good one, Paul. Be well and stay safe out there…🦴🙋🏻‍♀️

  5. So…Lets play a little Déjà vu…Ok, I followed the trail, and here’s what we have. Back on January 25th of last year, we had a puzzle about a Clock Tower needing repair. And as I mentioned, I couldn’t identify it. Later on, in June, we had two puzzles, six days apart, with what I’m pretty sure is the park we’re seeing today, Clock Tower looming. And I think it may be the same one as featured in January. But that’s a little iffy. But then, in August…there we were again. Same park, same clock. Definitely for the third time. And today? You know me…the songs, the movies…Yep, it’s in my head…”Same Time Next Year”. https://tinyurl.com/yvy4yw5a …But, I digress…The thing is, what’s with this park and clock? I don’t think it’s just coincidence, because…well, just because! But where is it? I’m leaning slightly towards Chicago, I’m leaning towards Indiana…I’m slightly leaning towards a college campus…but if I keep leaning like this I’m going to become a shoe-in for one of these Synovial procedures we’re talking about this morning! So I guess we’re at Jeff’s mercy…But short of him letting us know, I’m throwing it out there, because I KNEEd your help. So, here’s a look at the 4 puzzles I’m speaking of. First, can you Name That Park? And SECOND, can you Name That Clock? …Submissions must be post-marked by end of day today, and keep in mind, all entries become the exclusive property of my Jumble files! 😉🙋🏻‍♀️

    • LOL! And I doubt you’re far from alone with that, Ronald! Thanks for commenting. Be well, and stay safe out there. 🦴🙋🏻‍♀️

    • LOL! I know what you mean…I found myself looking at the spelling twice..it does look a little odd! Have a good one, Boog. Be well and stay safe. 🦴🙋🏻‍♀️

  6. I thought I might need to figure out what synovial joints were to solve the puzzle ,but with the abundance of H’s and P’s ,hip, hip popped into mind quickly followed by the complete solution,”Hip,hip hooray” for a relatively easy puzzle for a Saturday. We did go up to watch the twins last Saturday on their “Stay at home day”,but are having a “Stay at home day” of our own today with a planned Easter weekend trip to see all the grandkids in Lasalle,Dixon and Naperville for the first time since Christmas, next weekend.

    • Good Morning, Professor. I’m sure Synovial had a few people scratching their heads this morning! But the clues were definitely there. Enjoy your day, Prof. Be well and stay safe! 🦴🙋🏻‍♀️

  7. No bones about it, it was an easy puzzle this morning. I think it’s absolutely amazing all the parts that can be replaced these days. When my sister had her hip replacement surgery, she gave her surgeon some chocolate candies in the shape of a hip. He was delighted. Hope all of you have a good day.

    • That’s really funny Betty, but I can think of a few specialties where you wouldn’t want to do that!

    • LOL! 👏🏻👏🏻Yes, no bones about it, indeed! And we have a JOINT out here too that sells those types of chocolates too! 😉 And medical technology has definitely come a long way. My cousin was discharged the same day after the surgery…and with the pandemic he was definitely happy about it. Wishing you a good day too, Betty. Be well and stay safe! 🍫🙋🏻‍♀️

  8. Hi all – This couldn’t have been much easier – almost an instant solve on everything. I like using the little tricks to solve the words, especially the double letter trick, but didn’t need it today – which was good since it only would have worked on SUPPLY, failing on HITCH and RATHER, and doubly-failing on ONION! I don’t remember that happening before.

    Good wishes to everyone.

The massage was lost on me Angela – never heard of the psoas muscle before, and if I danced to your great old song, I’d need it!

“The Dutchman would RATHER not have had to settle for anything less than a proper American-style cheeseburger, but there was a major HITCH in the ONION SUPPLY coming through the Suez Canal.”

    • A major hitch indeed…that’s putting it mildly, right? There’s already talk about hoarding toilet paper again! 🧻😂😱! That stuck ship couldn’t have come at a worse time. Like we all don’t have enough to worry about…🤦🏻‍♀️ But be honest…you know PSOAS gave you a chuckle! 😂 (if you’re pronouncing it correctly)!!!…🦴🙋🏻‍♀️

  9. As with many “jumblers” here, I did lookup synovial for my curiosity. Other then that, an ordinary Saturday.
My wife and I are getting our first vaccine today…finally! HIP HIP HOORAY!!!
    Christian

    • Hip Hip Hooray, indeed! Have a good one, Christian. Be well and stay safe out there! 🦴🙋🏻‍♀️

      • Congrats, Christian–my wife just got her 2nd shot and I was complete early March so we can be a little more normal now!

        • We still have to mask and distance unfortunately. In August we expect to be cruising… we hope!!!

  10. Didn’t have much problem with this one, but I did already know what ‘synovial’ means…. A 3 1/2 minute effort to get the anagrams and solution so a pretty fun day for me.
The vaccines appear to be flooding into the state and that is causing a sigh of relief.
Have a fun day and we’ll see you Sunday!

    • Definitely an easy one considering it’s a Saturday…Enjoy your day, Mig. Be well and stay safe! 🦴🙋🏻‍♀️

    • That’s great, Eleanor! 👏🏻👏🏻. Hope all is well, and you’re staying safe. Enjoy your day! 🦴🙋🏻‍♀️

  11. Easy solved today in Reno. I know many pictures in this town of Reno. The sun is shining very brightly. The two of us are totally shut up. Have a great day in from Reno this is Millard

    • Yes, a very easy go if it today. And you’re not alone, Millard. A lot of us are still shut up. Just be well, and stay safe. Take care. 🦴🙋🏻‍♀️
