  1. Good Morning, Everyone. I hope this finds you well…
    👚 THE FASHION INDUSTRY…SO CLOTHES MINDED! 👚

🎶 FASHION put it all on me..Don’t you want to see these CLOTHES on me…FASHION put it all on me….I am anyone you want me to be…🎶 “Fashion” – Lady Gaga 2009 https://tinyurl.com/ckvbdxxy

👚They need a SMOOTH transition from one Season to the next,
So all across the CAMPUS word had spread about the text…
A sale to sink your TEETH into, and Fashionistas flocked,
To the clothes shop running a sale of what is left in stock
And luckily it’s LEGAL to set tables on the street,
So shoppers can grab bargains while inside the work’s complete
Deep discounts are awaiting…and just show me what female…
    Don’t look to take advantage of a boutique’s “CLOTHES-OUT” SALE! 👚

…And ain’t it the truth. Here in NYC, where the wind’s been steadily howling, and we’ve been lucky to see temperatures anywhere near the mid 20’s, my mailboxes, both electronic and physical are packed with notices of winter clearance sales, while at the same time, I’m inundated with the lures of “get it here first” warm weather fashions. I mean there’s just no way to SKIRT the issue…it’s overkill. But hey, let’s face it…this is how the Fashion Industry adDRESSes things…and BUY now, any woman worth her WAIT in fashion savvy is well aWEAR of the best time to grab a good bargain…And with that being said, let’s grab ahold of today’s puzzle…

While David’s not SELLing us on any new words this morning, he has given us some new anagrams to chew on, since it was only TETEH, from 2019 https://tinyurl.com/3befcj2r that I was able to unpack from the Archives. But being way behind schedule, I must admit that I only gave the search a HALF-hearted attempt. Yet, even so, none of today’s words stumped the Early Birds, and with all the clues that David and Jeff have put on display, the solve was a steal…

Today’s cartoon brings us to a neighborhood Boutique, which I’ve taken the liberty to locate near a college Campus. Needing to unload their last season’s inventory, in order to make room for the new season’s arrivals, our two savvy shop owners have decided to run a 50% off sale, and they’re definitely profiting by it. Not only are they RACKing up the sales, but they’ve AFFORDed themselves the space they need to display their new stock. It’s a win-win situation. And speaking of wins…here’s what’ll lead you to getting a win with today’s solve…Obviously we’re dealing with Clothes today…and “Last season’s fashions” = Close Outs. https://tinyurl.com/xtxd6z7v Plus the clothes table set up OUTside the shop? And that 50% Off sign? = SALE. Well, there’s the bargain you were looking for shoppers…The Boutique had a “CLOTHES-OUT” SALE! And wrap it up…I’ll take it!

So, There you have it Folks, Done. Have a good one…Be well, stay safe, and remember…One can always find room for new clothes…All it takes is some hanger management…BUY, BUY! 👚🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. And today in JUMBLE TRIVIA...👗🙋🏻‍♀️

The puzzle of January 25th, 2019: https://tinyurl.com/3c44n67k The question – The boutique was going out of business, so they had a…”CLOTHES-OUT” SALE https://tinyurl.com/nwa8whz2

And an earlier, very CLOTHES puzzle – February 7th, 2014: The question – To get rid of last season’s fashions, the boutique had this type of sale…A “CLOTHES-OUT”

  3. 🦷 You’d think with a sign on that new CAMPUS Dentist Office that read “CLOSE OUT SALE”, and had a picture of crooked TEETH, would be enough of a clue to something not being LEGAL…but no, the SMOOTH talking shyster was still able to get a few students to go to him for treatment…🦷

🤷🏻‍♂️ He cut his TEETH, as people say, while he was still a student,
‘Twas on CAMPUS where he learned the ropes…this guy was definitely prudent…
Things weren’t always LEGAL, and the road not always SMOOTH,
But he definitely was a player…hiding everything that’s crude
And here ‘lo years much later, this guy still is making bail…
He lives his life right on the edge…he’s like a CLOSE OUT SALE! 🤷🏻‍♂️

  4. This Jumble reminds me of a misphrased announcement of a clothing sale at a church: “The ladies of our church have cast off clothing of every kind, and may be found in the basement.” This Jumble is rife with shadow solutions, none of which fit very well. For example, this sale might be the COOLEST one around but I didn’t see any huts or other abodes in the cartoon, for ocelots or otherwise, eliminating OCELOTS HUT SALE and COOLEST HUT SALE. I’m not certain what style these clothes are, so we don’t know whether it’s a LESOTHO CUT SALE. If we aren’t limited to these word lengths, we get what happened in much of the Southeast US this winter: HOLOCAUST SLEET, and maybe they held this sale after those terrible winter storms. The cartoon shows no musical instruments, so no SOUTHEAST CELLO.

    • Good Morning, Jim. Ok…So here’s the DEAL…I’m not CLOSE MINDED by any means, but these “Shadow Solutions” as you call them? I fear they CAST a pall…😉 The LENGTHS you go to, SKIRTing around the solution leaves me PANTing for air! My head hurts! And trust me, I’m the first one to give someone the SHIRT off my back, but I just can’t help coming up SHORT with the way you adDRESS these puzzles…it just doesn’t FIT the mold…Believe me, I mean no disreSPECt, but it just gets my COAT…So, even though it’s NO SALE for me, I still wish you a great day, and trust you’ll stay well and safe. BUY! 👚🙋🏻‍♀️

  5. Despite my early up and at em to go to Dixon to watch the twins, for the first time since Thanksgiving,I got the anagrams and even the cartoon solution w all its letters.Another note is that today is Mar 6, the day the Alamo fell in San Antonio, and Davy Crocket was killed. It was also Ed McMahon’s birthday, and last but not least,my Dad’s as well.

    • Well, today’s also National Frozen Food Day, now that you mention it…and that’s a nICE one! 😉 Good Morning, Professor. And yes, it’s an easy, breezy one today, so I’m glad it FIT into your schedule! And a kind thought in your Father’s memory…Enjoy your Grandchildren, Prof…Have a good one…and stay well and safe out there…👚🙋🏻‍♀️

        • You’re very welcome, Professor, and I hope your day’s going well. 🙋🏻‍♀️

  6. Pretty easy one today once I recalled Campus from past Jumbles. I wasn’t familiar with your fitting song choice, Angela. I’m so glad that Lady Gaga got her adorable dogs back and her dog walker is going to be OK. Hanger management made me smile.

    • FITTING song choice! 👏🏻👏🏻! I love it! Good Morning, Caroline…nice speaking with you again! 😉😉 And yes, it’s an easy one today…but as always, cute and clever. And I too am happy for Lady Gaga, and am praying for a speedy recovery for her dog walker, Ryan Fischer. I swear, the things going on today are just getting crazier and crazier…And thanks for the Hanger Shout Out…I’m always happy when I can bring a smile! Hoping you have a wonderful day, Caroline. Be well, and stay safe out there…👚🙋🏻‍♀️

  7. Good morning. I was fortunate in getting both parts of the jumble today rather easily. Bring on Sunday. Until tomorrow stay well and stay.

    • Good Morning, Paul. Bring on Sunday, indeed! And I think you’re going to enjoy tomorrow’s puzzle…Wishing you a good one, Brooklyn. Be well and stay safe. 👚🙋🏻‍♀️

  8. Everything fit nicely into place today in spite of the long cartoon answer and quotation marks. “Hanger management” – good one, Angela. Have a good day all.

    • Nicely? That’s it? C’mon, Girl…be honest. You know your heart skipped a beat this morning when you saw not only quotation marks…but clothes!😂 All we needed was a chocolate 🍫 bar…and we’d be this 🤏🏻close to Heaven! 😂 And thank you…I hope I made you smile! Have a wonderful day, Betty. Be well and stay safe…👚🙋🏻‍♀️

  9. No problem with anagrams but the solution….. Another nice day in the Land of LA LA. All eyes turn to Sunday’s Jumble with anticipation and trepidation. Enjoy your weekends, y’all!!!!

  10. Hi all – Well, the first word was either LEGAL or EAGLE, and I just recognized CAMPUS from having seen it before. My guesses for what kind of SALE the answer was didn’t work, but when I wrote down the letters the ‘C’ showed me CLOTHES and the rest.

    Good wishes to everyone.

One more vote for “hanger management” giving a chuckle, Angela.

“The LEGAL team knew the local ordinance had enough TEETH to insure that the operation of the CAMPUS sale of knockoff athletic wear would not be a SMOOTH one.”

    • Tks, Steve. We could all use the smiles…Hope you’re enjoying your day. And stay safe out there…👚🙋🏻‍♀️

  11. I had no problems with either the words or answer. I laughed at Jim B.’s misphrased announcement and thought about others – in Japan an announcement in a clothing store “Ladies have fits upstairs”. We had rain last night- now sun til mid week. Everyone stay well and safe! Ann

    • Hi Ann. LOL! I enjoy them too. This one always gets me…“Ladies, don’t forget the rummage sale. It’s a chance to get rid of those things not worth keeping around the house. Bring your husbands”…😂 Enjoy your day, Ann. Be well and stay safe.👚🙋🏻‍♀️

  12. I am NOT receiving JUMBLE QUESTIONS….

That would make the answers much more interesting!

    Sincerely,

    Edith Eklof Olson
