  1. Good Morning, Everyone. 📺 EIGHT IS ENOUGH 📺

🎶 Here’s the story of a lovely lady…Who was bringing up three very lovely girls… It’s the story of a man named Brady…Who was busy with three boys of his own….’Til the one day when the lady met this fellow….And they knew that it was much more than a hunch…That this group must somehow form a family…That’s the way we all became the Brady BUNCH!…🎶 “Theme Song from the Brady Bunch” – (Originally sung by the) Peppermint Trolley Company 1969. https://tinyurl.com/yyo8w65o

📺 Way back in 1969, TV wasn’t all that much…
Most sat upon a TV stand, or maybe in a HUTCH
It didn’t have CLOUT like today, where we have shows on end,
But still there were a favorite few…like this story of blend…
The Brady Bunch…you shared their lives…a FUMBLE here and there,
But just like a pet MONKEY…this show definitely did endear…
It ran for many seasons, and the re-runs proved a gem…
You still can see them ‘til today…’cause there’s a BUNCH OF THEM! 📺

So…We’re all familiar with the now iconic question…”What are the three most important factors when it comes to Real Estate”, right? Location, location, location? Well, when it comes to solving a Jumble?…It’s dialogue, dialogue, dialogue…And it couldn’t be any more obvious than in solving today’s puzzle. Sticking out like a sore thumb in our question? “Episodes of the Brady FAMILY”? Family? Uh…since when? It’s the Brady BUNCH. It’s always been the Brady Bunch…And the lack of the word being located in our question just screams…”Pick me, pick me”! So even though I admit to having never seen an episode…it still hit me SQUARE in the FACE! You gotta love it…

Our words. Once again today, we’re dealing with four old favorites, and we’ve a split decision with our anagrams. Two new, two tried and true…We’ve seen CUTHH last on October 12th, 2019, https://tinyurl.com/y3cjwayn and before that in 2018, and TUCOL, on June 30th, 2014, https://tinyurl.com/y3k7hgar and before that in 2010. And for some strange reason, it was FUMBLE that caused one of the Early Birds to drop the ball this morning. Fumble?…And he calls himself a Football fan, for Pete’s sake! It was definitely a drop the Mike moment! Ok…enough with our words…now let’s get down to the Nitty-GRIDty!

Today we find ourselves joining a FAMILY of three Jumble characters…a Dad and his two daughters. It seems that the Father has just walked in, and there on the screen, he recognizes a favorite episode of the Brady Bunch, https://tinyurl.com/jhdxxqz, a TV sitcom from the late 60’s with the premise of a widow, Carol, marrying a widower, Mike. She has three daughters, he three sons, and they all lived together, along with their maid, Alice at 11222 Dilling Street, Studio City, CA. (You gotta love Wikipedia, no)? And the older of the two Jumble daughters, apparently new to the show, is overheard asking her Father just “how many episodes are there”, since “they’re on all day”. How many? There’s a BUNCH OF THEM! Cut…And that’s a wrap, Folks! No use re-running anything else here!

But Jeff’s Gems?…Since I’ve already owned up to never having seen the show, I searched some stock photos to TV GUIDE me, and I unearthed a BUNCH of information. First, who we have on our TV screen are Greg, Peter, and Bobby, the Brady brothers, left to right. But with the Dads dialogue referencing Peter having a voice change?…(There’s that dialogue again)! I had to delve further…Take a look at the middle son… He’s shown with his head tilted upwards, his mouth in an awkward position, and his hands raised in what appears to be frustration…all the while, his two brothers are cutting their eyes incredulously at him. So, I’ve nailed him as Peter. But knowing Jeff wouldn’t just pull that line of dialogue out of his hat, and being the good Jumble Family member that I am…I Googled it for you…And lo and behold, knock me out cold…There it was…”Dough Re Mi”…Season 3-Episode 16. https://tinyurl.com/y6qp37ej …And that voice reference?… “Time to Change” https://tinyurl.com/yyk9h7yd …Marcia, Marcia, Marcia, indeed! But wait…there’s more…The horse and vase on the credenza? Taken right from the script… https://tinyurl.com/y46jemnc …But the STAR of this Jumble SHOW today? Look closely. That doll the little girl is holding? It’s a vintage Mrs Beasley, https://tinyurl.com/y2kjeqkv , a doll popularized from another TV show of the late 60’s, Family Affair…FAMILY? Get it? Phew! …Gotta hand it to Jeff…This cartoon definitely had its whimsy!

So, There you have it Folks, Done! Have a good one. Be well, stay safe…And if you’re interested you’ve got plenty of reading material here to keep you busy! Oh…and one final note…Take another look at that opening grid in the theme song. Seem familiar? I’ve a hunch the BUNCH was way before it’s time…ZOOM! There it is! 📺🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. Good morning. Today’s jumble was easy from the words to the almost blind solve Once I wrote down the letters the answer came right away. It’s hard to believe that one of our leaders never saw an episode of the Brady Bunch. It’s almost sacrilegious. With all the reruns, it’s hard to believe. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

    • LOL!…Brooklyn…Would I lie to you? Guilty as charged… 🤷🏻‍♀️ Never have I ever…But I sure know a lot about it now, after this puzzle! Have a good one, Paul. Be well, stay safe…and keep warm! 📺🙋🏻‍♀️

  3. 🏈 Worried that he might FUMBLE the ball, and feeling as if he had a MONKEY on his back knowing that he’d lose all CLOUT with the team if he did…he looked through his HUTCH for some books on confidence and self-control, and found that he had a BUNCH OF THEM…🏈

🐒 She gave him a pet MONKEY, and with it a rabbits HUTCH,
He knew of course she meant well, but attention paid? Not much…
He went to take the monkey out and it gave him a CLOUT
Not happy to be caged up…its behavior left no doubt…
The blow caused him to FUMBLE, knocking down his diadem…
    And he hoped it wasn’t broken…not like there’s a BUNCH OF THEM…🐒

  4. Can a Jumble be quicker than a blind solve?Without solving the anagrams and without the letters, the cartoon solution popped into my head. Then a quick glance, solved the anagrams, and the then filled in letters confirmed my cartoon solution.A long time ago Brady Bunch fan.Enjoy the weekend.

    • Sure it can…Well done! I solve from the cartoon alone every day, and then I unscramble the words. And today, as you’ve said, it was just waiting to be solved! 😉 Enjoy your day, Prof. Be well, stay safe…and here comes the snow! ❄️🙋🏻‍♀️

  5. Hi all – This was too easy. Knowing the show’s title was “Brady Bunch” made the answer obvious.

I guess if his daughter gets too sick of the Bradys, they can switch over to Starsky and HUTCH or the MONKEES.

    Good wishes to everyone.

I did notice the doll, Angela, but only because it looked a little creepy staring out like that. And the grid would have reminded me first of Hollywood Squares.

“He had enough CLOUT with the city to get a pet MONKEY approved, but regretted it when it learned to FUMBLE with the latch and release all his rabbits from their HUTCH.”

    • I guess you don’t Video Conference, huh? Zoom is the new black! 😉 But speaking of Hollywood Squares, I think you’ll enjoy this. The video quality is poor at the beginning, but it doesn’t affect the audio. https://tinyurl.com/y5lk98do And as far as Mrs Beasley goes? The doll is creepy…and yet it’s still selling for a small fortune. Go figure. (Like that fortune I spent on Star Wars toys)! 😉 And I chuckled at Hutch and the Monkees! 👏🏻👏🏻. Have a good one, Steve. Be well and stay safe…📺🙋🏻‍♀️

  6. No fumble with the jumble today! At first there were so many possibilities until I got to the letter B.
Angela, it seems like every 6-3 letter word have been used!!!

    • Definitely a piece of cake today, Christian. No need to Fumble! Any Heaven forbid we’d ever use up all our words! Sacré bleu! Have a good day, Christian. Be well and stay safe. 📺🙋🏻‍♀️

  7. Easy puzzle this morning. Arrived at all the answers in record time. I must confess to being an apostate as I, too, have never seen an episode of “The Brady Bunch” but I learned all about them this morning thanks to you, Angela. Happy Saturday to all my fellow Jumblers.

    • Apostate! I love it! 👏🏻👏🏻 You can tell there’s Catholic School training in our backgrounds! And let the sinners unite! You’re very welcome….and I’m so glad I’m not the only one! 😂 I was starting to get a complex! 😂😂 Happy Saturday to you too, Miss Betty. Be well and stay safe out there…📺🙋🏻‍♀️

  8. Nothing to see here folks! I feeling very smart today……. I never saw an episode either but have the gist of it. Maybe next we’ll have something about Palladin or Hoss???

    • Same here, Mig. I always knew of it, I just never sat down and watched. And, you never know…Maybe we might get a TV Western one of these days. I do remember a Mr Ed puzzle from early 2017, https://tinyurl.com/yxdj94xn though…but that may not be what you had in mind. But HAY, you never know! Have a good one, Mig. Be well and stay safe…🐴 🙋🏻‍♀️

  9. Easy day. I saw at first Culot, which I learned is actually a French word (the lower half of something). Culot is the basis for Culottes. Add me to those that never watched the Brady Bunch, though I know that song well.

    • Hi Caroline. As much as I enjoy a good pair of culottes, I’m pretty sure we won’t be seeing the word here. Culot’s French, and you know David don’t mess with those foreign words…😉 and Culottes is just too many letters. But then again, you never know. Just like Mig may get his Western, we may get a little Fashion Flair! Maybe something like…”How did the women manage to beat the heat, and still look fashionable”? …They wore…”COOL-OTTES”! 😂😂 Anything’s possible! And it’s funny…I know the Brady Bunch song too…but…🤷🏻‍♀️ Why I’ve never seen the show is starting to make me wonder! 😉 But I’m more than happy to welcome you into our little group! Hope you’re enjoying your day, Caroline…Be well, stay safe…and watch out for that Polar Vortex! 🥶🙋🏻‍♀️

      • Your cool-ottes Jumble is very cool! I wonder sometimes if any of the puzzles are your idea. We’ve had some cold weather of late but luckily little snow.

        • LOL! Tk you, Caroline!…And while I do have a million of them up my sleeve, David works alone! 😉 (Although I definitely do use so many of his idioms in my every day life😉…I know, weird)! And I thank you once more, for the vote of confidence….I hope you’re spared the snow, Caroline…I don’t think we’re going to be so lucky this time around! 😱❄️❄️
