  1. Happy Tuesday everyone! Renting an apartment seemed like a logical choice when my wife and I were just starting out. I really enjoyed the fact that there was no maintenance and getting something fixed was as easy as making a telephone call. The only downside was that the place never felt like our own. It would have been easy living had we chosen to stay but we pinched our pennies for a few years and the rest is history.

There weren’t any new clue words today. But, like yesterday, we were graced with four new anagrams. The hardest for me to solve was ATTACH. The double A’s and T’s hid the solution extremely well and it only came to me when I worked the anagram in reverse. It’s funny how that happens sometimes.

The cartoon was simple in nature and featured a couple of Jumble characters standing in front of an apartment complex. The only obvious visual clues seemed to be the For Rent sign and the rental agreement. Did you notice the small bird hanging out on the roof? He, or she, blended in so well that I completely missed it at first.

The final solve was an anagram consisting of 11-letters. 6 of the them were consonants and 5 were vowels. The layout was a doozy but I easily saw SAY to start things off. LEASED was quite obvious in the remainder and TO finished it off. December is off to a great start! Have a terrific Tuesday, and keep Jumbling!

  3. Good morning. For me, the perfect song choice should be “What a difference a day makes”. Yesterday’s jumble was child’s play and today it started off the same but I drew a blank on the cartoon. After I looked up the answer I realized it was really simple to get. Should have put it aside for a bit and then tried again. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

  4. This one doesn’t sound right. TO SAY the LEASED? LEASED is an adjective that seems to require a noun. So of course this invites shadow solutions, including TO SAY the SEALED. That one has exactly the same problem as TO SAY the LEASED, but otherwise it is almost as plausible. Any renting or purchasing deal has to be sealed.

  5. Although lease seems like an obvious word choice now, I didn’t think of it. Instead, I had to write down possible two and three-letter words and try different combinations to get the answer. Not many combinations made sense. I had Thatch instead of Attach at first.
    Wishing all a great day.

  6. I had the anagrams w no problem,as well as “leased” but even w the right t o s a y letters, was stumped by the 2 and 3 letter words,to and say.Thereby continuing my Nov stump slump into December.

  7. Good Morning, Everyone. I hope this finds you well…

🌟 Wanting to ATTACH the GLOSSY star onto the BLEAK looking tree, and DODGE the bristles at the same time was no easy feat….TO SAY THE LEAST…🌟

🤷🏻‍♂️ Known always as the one to DODGE when things were looking BLEAK
They never could ATTACH with him, he had a losing streak…
His reputation not GLOSSY, some thought of him a beast…
The bottom line…unlikeable…and that’s TO SAY THE LEAST 🤷🏻‍♂️

  8. Paused at attach, kept seeing catch and thatch. Once I got that straightened out I was able to solve the cartoon answer without difficulty. As always enjoyed your fun facts Mike. San Francisco has some 400,000 rental units and 57% of our citizens are renters. With the pandemic I know that there are more vacancies than I have ever seen and I suspect that rents have been lowered though I suppose it’s all relative and they may still be higher than in other parts of the country. Wishing all of you a good Tuesday.

  9. I was stuck with LEASES, never thought of LEASED. I was stuck with the letters t, o, d, a and y making no sense other than TO DAY. So I had to cheat and look at the answer. A very BLEAK effort on my part!

  10. Easy peasy day for me but YMMV as they say (and as is often true for me). Words came fast as did the solution. At LEAST I didn’t get evicted… Enjoyable day!!

  11. Hi all –
Well, this is a good day for this song, for the James Taylor fans out there:
🎵”Now the first of December was covered with snow
And so was the turnpike from Stockbridge to Boston
Oh the Berkshires seemed dreamlike on account of that frostin’
With ten miles behind me, and ten thousand more to go”🎵

As far as the puzzle, got the words. Then thought the answer began “To see…” but also saw “To say”, and then the remaining letters showed “Leased”.

Nice pun *again* in the voting box, Mike! Funny, because last night I also repeated a comic strip comment that I had used the day before, for comic effect. We apPARENTly think alike!

    Good wishes to everyone.

“It was a BLEAK day TO SAY THE LEAST when he missed the (LEASE) payments on his GLOSSY new DODGE Charger and the bank came to ATTACH his pay.”

    • I remember you mentioning that you liked it yesterday and I was kind of shocked that it worked again. Will there be a day 3???

Your sentence was amazing as always, but I would have chosen a different vehicle. Just a preference! 😂

      • True enough Mike, but TESLA wasn’t one of the Jumble words. Although CHARGER might still be appropriate! 😂
