  1. Good Morning, Everyone. 🚚 TALKING TRASH? 🚚

🎶 I can SMELL your fear….The only reason that I’m here is to WREAK HAVOC…🎶 “Wreak Havoc” – Skylar Grey 2016 https://tinyurl.com/y52prlk4

🚚 It’s not a pleasant subject that they OFFER us today,
A Landfill for the most part like a VACUUM made of gray…
And this one here had hardly SHRUNK, it’s filled way past its brim,
No FABLE here, it’s obvious things sure are looking grim…
No way to sugar coat this, it just stinks, so let’s be graphic…
The Landfill that has reached its peak? It started to “REEK” HAVOC! 🚚

So, we’re ending our work week with a split decision…Two old anagrams, SKURNH from June of 2013, and FROEF from May of last year, and two new…All with all old favorites, none of them caused a HEAP of trouble…The Early Birds just DROVE straight on through…And so shall I..

The scene of the grime today is the Jumbletown Landfill. And we see two Landfill operators discussing how this long line of truckers may just be WASTEing their time… There’s no more room at the BIN…so to speak. And with the Landfill over capacity, you know this could get ugly…Where will all these trucks go? Will these guys start DUMPing on one another? Will there be TRASH talking? Will the arguments just PILE up? Who knows…I REFUSE to think it’s true, but I guess it’s all UP IN THE AIR at this point…But the point we need to make is solving this puzzle…And today I PICKED UP on it immediately, because our guys have given us two huge clues…”This is CHAOS” = HAVOC and “That SMELL is awful” = REEK. The Landfill’s beginning to “REEK” HAVOC! https://tinyurl.com/y5s8c54a …Now how clever is that? Good one, David. You’re definitely the TOP of the HEAP!

Eye candy? The seagulls are making their second appearance this week, and we can see a vertical exhaust pipe on the front truck…But look closely… https://tinyurl.com/y44whq8d …On the grill of that lead truck, there’s a Teddy Bear attached…part of that urban mystery that calls for stuffed animals to be tied onto the front of garbage trucks. Nice touch, Jeff…You just can’t make this STUFF up…https://tinyurl.com/y29kfea2

So, There you have it, Folks. Done. Have a great day, Everyone…And keep in mind…One man’s TRASH is another man’s treasure…Just don’t WASTE your whole life looking for it…🚚🙋🏻‍♀️

    • Angela,

Really enjoy your commentary- great way to begin my day! Thanks for taking time to do that.

      Atul from Phoenix

      • You’re very welcome, Atul…And thank you…it’s my pleasure. Be well…and stay safe…🚚🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. Good morning. I was able to get both parts of jumble without much havoc. No further explanation needed. In view of that. Take care and stay safe.

  3. Reek was an obvious choice for the first word in the cartoon solution quickly followed by the complete “reek” havoc solution.Believe it or not that S word, snow is in the Sunday-Monday forecast for the Midwest ,say it isn’t so!

    • Good Morning, Professor. Snow? Why not? It’s 2020…there’s nothing we shouldn’t expect! 😱 Good luck…I hope you’re spared…❄️🙋🏻‍♀️

  4. Just had a hard time with the answer,But I am getting better and faster. Thanks 🙏 enjoy this very much its a great way to start my day.

    • Hi Alan. Glad we could help…and I’m sure you’ll be a whiz at this in no time…And thank you for your kind words. We’re happy to be a part of your mornings! Be well and stay safe out there…🚚🙋🏻‍♀️

    • Good morning and welcome, Alan.
I had been doing the Jumble forever, but when I discovered this site, I found that people’s tips and tricks for solving the words and answers helped greatly to improve the speed and accuracy of the solves.
Not to mention that if I got stumped on a Saturday puzzle, I didn’t have to wait all the way until Monday to find out the answer! 😂

  5. 🤦🏻‍♀️ The OFFER for the new state of the art VACUUM seemed too good to be true…and after she turned it on, and it did nothing but WREAK HAVOC, her hopes SHRUNK, realizing it was all a FABLE…🤦🏻‍♀️

🧟‍♀️ He read the kids a FABLE, but they SHRUNK and turned away,
Like sucked into a VACUUM…they just didn’t want to stay…
And truth be told the story’s OFFER did present a fright…
What was it with these old grim tales that thought macabre right?
He felt so bad for scaring them…he hated to cause static,
And now his good intentions failed …instead he did WREAK HAVOC…🧟‍♀️

  6. No trash talk here this morning. Easy solve today even with the quotation marks. Happy Friday to all.

    • LOL! Good one, Betty! And I agree…Easy, breezy. .Happy Friday to you too. Be well and stay safe. 🚚🙋🏻‍♀️

  7. Hi all – No problem with the words (double letter trick for OFFER), but I needed the letters for the answer. I saw OVER in there, but that was also in the caption. A further look showed REEK as the clever pun and the answer phrase. (Phew!)

Speaking of the double-letter trick, VACUUM was the rare example of it working on vowels besides ‘E’.

    Good wishes to everyone.

Thinking along the same lines as you for the sentence, Angela:
“The eBay OFFER on the high-end VACUUM had SHRUNK so low it looked like it must be a FABLE.”

    • Hey Steve…I was hoping you’d catch my (sacre)ligious pun…🤷🏻‍♀️I guess it just fell on the PILE…Have a good one…Be well and stay safe.🚚🙋🏻‍♀️

        • Nope…It’s in answer to the clue I just gave…Hmm…Maybe I should have just TRASed it! 😉🙋🏻‍♀️

  8. I wandered off on the ‘road less taken’, looking for something about ‘overflow” in the answer, but alas no luck! The anagrams were pretty straight forward.

    • Hey Mig…As Steve mentioned, with OVER mentioned in the question, it wouldn’t show up in the solve…I sometimes think David does that on purpose…just to shake things up! 😉 Have a good one, Mig. Be well and stay safe out there. 🚚🙋🏻‍♀️

    • LOL! 👏🏻👏🏻 But there’s always tomorrow, Agnes! Be well and stay safe out there…🚚🙋🏻‍♀️

  9. Good one today, always appreciate the clever details in the cartoons, got to look close as not to miss anything.

    • Hey Ron…Yes, the details are always fun to look for…Have a good night…Be well and stay safe. 🚚🙋🏻‍♀️

  10. The give away was the puzzle word in quotes which based on the cartoon had to do with something smelling. Knew it couldn’t be odor, so “reek: came to mind.

    • The dialogue today made the puzzle an easy, breezy one. And those quotes always make it so much more enjoyable. Enjoy your night, Ronald. Be well and stay safe out there. 🚚🙋🏻‍♀️

    • Stunk? 👏🏻👏🏻 Good one, Marlene. But if you got it, no matter how long it took…I don’t think that classifies as “stunk”… maybe just “stuck” a little! Wishing you a good night…Be well and stay safe. 🚚🙋🏻‍♀️
