  1. Good Morning, Everyone. 🦴 I hope this finds you well 🦴🙋🏻‍♀️

🎶 A dem BONES, dem bones, dem dry bones….A dem bones, dem bones, dem dry bones…A dem bones, dem bones, dem dry bones…I hear the word of the Lord…🎶…”Dry Bones” – Delta Rhythm Boys 1960 https://tinyurl.com/y5q9v9bd

🦴 An A&P class in full swing, Freshmen at LOCAL college,
A Skeleton with all its bones…here’s where they’ll get their knowledge
The Humerous, the Femur…they’ll see the Ulna too,
And learn how well they MERGE into the image…me and you…
Which bones are where and which of them they’ll need to see things SPRUNG,
The students get the info once the teacher has begun…
To NIBBLE at it here and there…until lessons complete,
Before you know it they’ll be briefed from head way down to feet…
And then the student body… this subject will have honed
And off they’ll go declaring…”We’re all “set” with these BARE BONES”!🦴

Continued thoughts and prayers to our West and Gulf Coast readers. 🙏🏻

  2. 💰 When the LOCAL planning board found themselves down to BARE BONES financially, without a NIBBLE in sight for raising money on their own, they SPRUNG the bad news on the community, who then wisely voted to MERGE with two other boards from neighboring areas…💰

🤷🏻‍♂️ The tire SPRUNG the biggest leak…and air quickly escaped,
He called the LOCAL repair shop…as his wife stared agape…
He had no spare within the trunk, and she started to quibble,
About his acting so slipshod…on her lip she’d soon NIBBLE
He knew that sign by now so well, and with it she would MERGE
The crying and complaining…which he likened to a scourge…
She looked at him and shook her head…and he heard her intone,
“Why do you disregard these things…and scrape by with BARE BONES? 🤷🏻‍♂️

  3. Good morning. Now today’s jumble should have been yesterday’s. No problem with either the words or cartoon I got the answer quickly by separating the two double letters and putting the S on the end of the bigger word. My logic to the answer was better than the final result. But that’s ok because it’s real hard to knock it out of the park everyday. Loved your song choice Angela. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

    • Good Morning, Brooklyn. Tks…I love your logic! Have a good one. Be well and stay safe. 🦴🙋🏻‍♀️

  4. I agree with Paul,a Monday easy puzzle on a Tuesday.I had been on the road since,Sunday morning,so being back home with my real paper in hand was a help. The anagrams were a quick solve with merge seeming like a recent repeat,Bone or bones was a given in the cartoon solution, with bare bones quick to follow as an ultimate solution. On our drive back to central Illinois yesterday afternoon, the skies were cloudy with residual smoke from the west coast fires.

  5. I’ll say ‘hi’ to your hyoid bone unless you look at me STERNUM-ly. Good to have an easy little Jumble…. I’ll say ‘dittoes’ to Paul. Well it is Tuesday, smells like Ash Wednesday outside and I want to take a cruise on the spinal canal!
    Good day to all!

  6. Hi all – I thought the words were easy, but I kept checking them because I couldn’t see the answer. It seemed like ‘BONE’ was pretty obvious, but there was no ‘D’ for “Bone-Based” and all I could get was “Base-Borne” which didn’t make any sense. I was *just* about to quit when I finally put the S in BONES and got it. The phrase just didn’t occur to me from the dialog.

    Good wishes to everyone.

“Since Spring had SPRUNG, the LOCAL ranchers decided to MERGE their herds to NIBBLE on the grass.”

Our air quality isn’t great, but it’s much improved from recent days. We’re getting some ocean breeze and can actually see the sun, bright enough to cast shadows, and individual clouds are visible instead of a uniform gray. When I first moved here, before stricter air quality regulations took effect, San Jose used to often be more polluted than San Francisco or Oakland, so it was amusing that they had a mayor named “Janet Gray Hayes.”

    • Hey Steve. It just sounds like a case of not seeing the forest for the KNEES! 😉 While the dialogue did hint at the solution…The teacher using such a simplistic reference to remembering the Humerus, and the student agreeing that it is “simple enough”, today the BONEus..was in David’s question…Her “very basic” approach… https://tinyurl.com/y5dakwqu. TIBIAnest? I think David definitely had a LEG up on this one! 😉 Glad things are improving in your area, Steve. Be well and stay safe out there. 🦴🙋🏻‍♀️

  7. I brought up Fred Waring’s version of Dem Bones and had a good laugh. Fremont has haze again but the sun is definitely brighter and clear air is on the way. Ann

    • Hi Ann. The video for Fred Waring’s version is definitely a lot more entertaining, isn’t it? Especially when you think of the Biblical connection! 😉 I have some old 78’s of his, that were my Fathers, and I always enjoyed listening to them. I keep saying that I’m going to play them someday…but there’s so much sentiment involved with it all, that I just keep putting it off..It’s good to hear that things are improving for you. I’m sure you all can’t wait for this nightmare to be over. Enjoy your evening, Ann. Be well and stay safe. 🦴🙋🏻‍♀️

  8. Angela, Thank you for your kind thoughts and you too stay safe and well. Now I have my thoughts with those in the path of “Sally”. Ann

    • As I do too, Ann. And TS Teddy on its heels. It’s a lot to bear. I don’t even know what to think anymore. I pray a lot. And you’re very welcome. I hope your evening’s going well Ann, and thank you. 🙏🏻🙋🏻‍♀️
