Ok, so… A “WOK” IN THE PARK…At first I figured it seemed so familiar because I’ve used the phrase probably a million times before; in fact just last week, when my friends and I spoke about taking our portable grill late one night, and doing some Stir Fry Chicken at a picnic….But you know me…that dog with a bone thing?…So I searched. And sure enough, back on May 19th, 2016…”Whoomp…there it is”! 🐟 The restaurant thought nothing to INVOKE in their ads that they served the best grilled SALMON in the WORLD, but to him it seemed to be a PRANK, since trying to digest it was no “WOK” IN THE PARK…🐟
♠️♥️He felt he was the only one in the WORLD this stone broke,
His gambling way out of hand…he’d need prayers to INVOKE
His friends had tried to reel him in, with lectures and a PRANK,
But nothing helped, he still indulged…Into the depths he sank
His prowess like a dead SALMON, he stunk at 21,
If only he’d taken advice before this all begun…
But now he’s so deep in a hole, things sure are looking dark
To gamble for a living? It’s no “WOK” IN THE PARK ♦️♣️
Wok in the park was an obvious cartoon solution,but salmon had to be solved working back from the needed letters A,O,and N.Speaking of salmon,salmon patties were a favorite meatless dinner entree,when I was growing up in the era of meatless Fridays in the Catholic Church,and are still a favorite during Lent..
Good morning. This was no walk in the park. It was more of a sprint from beginning to end. There was no grass growing on these feet. Enjoyed it just the same. I didn’t get the feeling that this was for dummies, ( I’m better than that I hope). I actually think I lost a temporary job for two weeks while the guy wanted to go on vacation for the first time. At that time I was into running and in learning the guys route I would run from my car to his truck. I prided myself on being quick. Which in going from store to store and stocking what was sold (ice cream) he stood to make more money. Every day he would ask me how come I run, my answer was why not. After the third day the guy decided not to take a vacation. Maybe he felt I had to much energy. Loved your song choice Angela. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

Hi all – Got the words and answer easily today. Just happened to recognize SALMON from seeing it before. It’s funny – when I looked at the tiny cartoon in my paper, it looked like there was a SALMON head in the wok. When I checked online though, it was just random lines.

Another new word for me, Angela; I never heard of “Plaice.” But it’s a funny coincidence, because I also used a fish pun this morning – There’s a comic strip showing a hockey player ice fishing through a hole in the playing surface (saying that he promised to bring home dinner that night), and I noted that there would probably be a lot of SKATES around.
“The fisherman decided to INVOKE Photoshop to PRANK his buddy, sending him a picture that looked like he had caught a Guinness WORLD record SALMON.”
