🩺 The Doctor has no patience with a person who takes chance,
And doesn’t have to be this sick…Doc saw this at a glance
He’s not a sugar-coater, no sweet LINER to his ways
He sees no use to WALTZ around…there’s time restraints these days…
He might be getting MADDER at someone who don’t take heed,
And he’s not the type to SERMON…simply tells you what you need…
He didn’t get to be the best afraid of what to tell…
The bottom line…He definitely cares…and always DID MEAN WELL🩺
Today’s puzzle is a brilliant double whammy. Our main character is a tough, no-nonsense, doesn’t-suffer-fools-easily type of Doctor. HEAL not put up with a patient who doesn’t follow a Doctors advice, bringing problems upon himself. He OPERATES under his own terms, and yes, is known to NEEDLE a patient if need be. And it may come off a little MEAN, since he does put some PRESSURE on a patient. He’s cocky…He does MEAN… WELL. The flip-side? In the same VEIN, he cares. So when he sees unnecessary health-related issues, even though he may not STROKE his patients ego, he knows what he’s doing…So it’s not the time and place to be funny…But the man doesn’t suffer from an IRONy deficiency…he MEANS WELL. As I said…it’s a brilliant double…double entendre!
EYE Candy…Literally…LOOK (no pun intended) closely at the Eyes…The Doctor’s are drawn with brows that are arched sharply downward towards the pupils and branching outward. And the lines encasing the eyes are rounded, keeping his look tight. A MEAN angry look. The patient, on the other hand has eyes that are wide open, with raised brows, giving him the incredulous look of someone who’s taken by surprise. Like “Oh my GUAZE…he’s MEAN”. And the encircling lines are drooping, showing him feeling cowered. The attending nurse? Pretty straightforward…brows included. She’s used to the Doctors behavior…She knows he MEANS WELL…and it’s no sweat off her brow…And don’t BLOODy disCOUNT the dialogue…It’s right on POINT…EYE’m very impressed…

He would WALTZ around a stand-up gig, and always close with it…
His agent would get MADDER than a hen who had been wet,
But he knew another SERMON would just lead him to regret
He told him new material would make his audience swell…

I thought the 3 letter word was ‘was’,so I was trying to put the ‘S’ from sermon,in one of the circled spaces,which prevented my getting sermon solved.Once sermon was solved,the first word was obviously ‘did’ which led to the did mean well solution.
Good Morning, Professor. I don’t solve by “words”…I hold out for the idiom..😉, but to hear the Early Birds tell it…They went for a “doctor”-related word first. Having WELL taken out of the equation, I heard them play with AND, AID and END, which left them no option for the other four letter word. That’s when MEAN won out. And SERMON is masterfully anagrammed…All in all, I think it’s one HEAL of a puzzle! Enjoy your day, Prof…Be well and stay safe. 🩺🙋🏻♀️
Hi Everyone – Well jumped out right away, and once I got Sermon after thinking of smores and morose, I was able to find the rest. It helped that there were only a few possibilities for 3-letter words.

Hi all – This one took me longer than I thought. I had to write down the letters to see both RANSOM and MADDER (even with the double letter trick). No idea about the answer, but the letters showed WELL which I figured fit a doctor, and the only three letter word that made sense was DID, so that showed the clever solution.
Mike, you know I had to laugh out loud when I saw your video selection, although it seems these days at least one of my alma mater’s departments is more famous for being stupid enough to have to pay a huge ransom to hackers. 😂
Thanks for one of my all-time favorite Jackson Browne songs Angela, with the great harmonies from David Crosby and Graham Nash and the great musicians from the LA “Section” band of the times who played on seemingly everything.

And speaking of Ringo, my word, *any* Beatles fan must see this clip I found last night, just posted to YouTube on 6/23/2020, a 1965 performance from the ABC theater in Blackpool. Ringo featured on “Act Naturally”, his drumming on “Ticket To Ride”, and apparently this is the first performance of “Yesterday” – excellent sound, everyone in perfect voice, I just can’t recommend this highly enough – the best live Beatles I’ve seen yet on YouTube.
