Ok, so picture this seen…You’re standing around with your neighbors, and what should appear? A hairy ape-man…right out in the clear…And you just stand looking, not watching that kid??…As he’s going closer? Ah…no, God forbid…Hmm…I made a little rhyme there, didn’t I? Just habit, I guess…The cartoon kind of threw me…I mean I know we’re dealing with folklore here…And YET I still get a little unnerved by the thought of BIG FOOT...What can I say, Folks. Lore me in with this puzzle ? Not gonna happen…
So, back on February 16th, 2016 we had a Yeti puzzle. That day we were asked… “Sasquatch was easy to track because he had a”…and the answer was BIG FOOT. I can’t find the cartoon to show you, but the long and short of it is that we haven’t seen one since. And I, for one would like to say…I’m glad David squached the idea after that, because I really hate seeing the Big Guy in print…Anyway, enough with my hang ups…Theyre really neither hair nor there…
Ok…Today’s words, Nothing new, but we do have two repeat anagrams, DFEUG, from way back in 2011, and TAGEEN from April of 2017. And it’s SNITCH that had the Early Birds ratting out one another…”He’s lying…he doesn’t have it..blah, blah, blah”…I swear, sometimes I feel like I’m dealing with a bunch of overgrown children…And yet I still put up with them… what can I say? There are no words…
Our cartoon? Well, the dialogue puts us in a Village scene. Location? How about you choose? (Just be sure it’s anywhere but NY..ok)?…And we’re dealing with a group of people experiencing a Big Foot sighting. But I think I’ve already made it known that I’m not drawn to these type of things. Big, hairy, ape-like. And no, this has nothing to do with my dating history…let’s not go there…That’s just another myth altogether…(despite what you may have heard).
But what’s got me going a little ape hair today is, as I mentioned, the fact that that little boy is looking to “get a better view”, and is seen running off after Big Foot. What’s that all about? He’s not scared? He’s not being supersized? I mean supervised…He’s just gonna run off, foot-loose and fancy free like that? It’s just something I find hard to believe…But anyway, besides Him a layan down tracks of his own, I’ll tell you what else caught my eye. The man at right criticizing Yeti’s looks? Talk about the pot calling the kettle, am I right? He definitely put his foot in it, because he could surely make use of some grooming himself….And the guy at left, saying…”Will you…”, sort of resembles Wil Shortz, don’t you think?…Puzzling that we haven’t seen him in some Time… And of course, we see the huge footprints on the ground, and the ubiquitous little hiding deer. Now for that, you’ll really have to squach your eyes up, because he’s peeking out from the foliage, near the second tree from the left. But the two biggest pieces of candy? Check out the name of Ye Olde Shoppe…It’s “Jumble”! And look who’s the hair apparent? None other than our illustrious puzzle maker, David himself…arm extended, mouth agape, stunned watching, as Big Foot CAUSED A “SEEN”...

Good morning. Thanks Angela for an enjoyable post. Enjoyed the novelty song (first time hearing it) but loved the Temptations. One of my favorite groups especially “Papa was a rolling stone”. The combination of instrumental and vocal can’t be beat. Makes me so glad I had such great parents. Papa was always there for us. Today’s jumble wasn’t that hard. Negate and the cartoon answer took time for a pause but then it became clear. Unlike seeing the deer in the paper even with a magnifying glass. Until tomorrow stay well.

There’s too much black on green…It’s really only visible if you look at an online picture, and then enlarge it. But I think I remember you saying you use an iPhone, right? Ok…Then open this link, and pinch the cartoon to spread it out at the location I mentioned, near the second tree. (If you’re not sure how to do that, let me know). I think by doing that you’ll be able to see it. It’s just the head and neck extending out to the left of the panel, but it’s worth seeing. I’m beginning to grow fond of the little guy! You know Paul…you got me thinking…My Papa ❤️💔was always there too…But today a lot of the Papas out there are having a really hard time. Not working, trying to help home school their kids…trying to keep food on the table…It’s hard on all of us. So here’s a Shout Out to all those good Papas out there. The anagrams were surprisingly easy for this old Papa,who is “Paco” to his grandkids.When our oldest granddaughter Emily was 1 years old ,she decided to call her Grampa Chuck,”Paco” and the name stuck for her 3 younger brothers,and 4 little girl cousins.As far as the cartoon solution,caused popped out quickly,leading to a quick overall solution.

Hi all – Surprisingly (to me), “salsa” took me the longest. I saw “Caused” in the answer and wrote the letters to see “seen”.
You really had to go online to see any details in the cartoon, but it was worth it for the surprised/shocked/embarrassed look on Bigfoot’s face (and the “Jumble Shoppe” sign.)

Not sure but with the letters I got the answer doesn’t work since you need 1less A and 1more E. I came to this site to make sure my words were correct and they were according to here but answer doesn’t work.

From FUDGE, we take the 2nd, 3rd and last letters = U D E.
From SALSA, it’s the 2nd and 4th = A S
From NEGATE, it’s the 2nd, 4th, and last = E A E
From SNITCH, it’s the 1st, 2nd, and 5th = S N C
The letters form the words..CAUSED A “SEEN”
We need 2 A’s and 3 E’s…
