This answer seems to me to be convoluted wording. Wouldn’t one use an article and say beloved instead? …Featured some beloved ones. Also when it said first positive numbers, I expected to see a 2, a 3, a 4, and so forth as well as the 1, because there can be only one 1. If there were another one, call it U, then 1 x 5 = U x 5 = 5, so by canceling 1s, you get 1 = U, so there can be only one 1. The solution of LOVED ONES, being somewhat ungrammatical, invites other shadow solutions, such a LOVED NOSE, DELVE SOON, and LOVED NOES. Maybe they were really saying NO to each other.
I thought the first word was seven at first, but then realized that it looked like there were only six numbers at the reunion. Then I was thinking ‘even’ numbers rather than positive numbers,so was reluctant to make the second word ‘ones’ with odd numbers rather than even numbers, though the cartoon picture was clearly a gathering of ‘ones’.
I guess even though I found the anagrams a snap, the solution gave me reason to pause.
Hi Everyone – This is one of those Jumbles where the drawing is the most important clue, at least for me. Clever interpretation of loved ones. Jeff is always able to bring numbers, shapes, or anything to life.
Agree the presence of dancing “ones” in the cartoon was the clue to the solution,
Even mountains came to life in the Mt. Everest cartoon!
Hi all – I always see “idiot” before “ditto”, and saw “stinky” before “skinny”. “Violet” took me the longest. “Ones” was obvious in the answer, and the letters showed the rest.
They should have dressed one of the characters in a St. Louis baseball jersey so he could be a Cardinal number.
Good wishes to everyone.
PS – Nice touch that the old “one” with the cane is a Roman numeral.
Cutest piece of eye candy? Look real closely…The Grandson has a tiny #1 Foam Finger on his right hand…Definitely a FIRST Place bit of whimsy! 1️⃣🙋🏻♀️
Cute puzzle this morning. I too enjoyed the drawings. I like your idea of a Cardinal number, Steve.
🗣After the bully body shamed the young girl with taunts of “Fat and SKINNY”, her LOVED ONES turned VIOLET with rage, and called for the school board to EXPEL him, to which the other parents cried…”DITTO”…🗣
1️⃣ There’s something quite amusing about animated digits…
We see them again here today…as they move and they fidget
There isn’t one of VIOLET, though pink is boldly shown…
It’s on the one who plays the son…the one son who is grown
Let’s note that they’re all SKINNY…and the men are 4 DITTO…
Jeff did EXPEL the paunches…thinly veiled? Good way to go,
Three generations are displayed…from Roman to grandson
It adds up to a positively great pic of LOVED ONES! 1️⃣
