The key to solve the puzzle? It’s quite simple…there’s no trick…
“Long way back to the city”? …This camp’s way out …IN THE STICKS! 🔥

This Jumble contains an interesting word STICKS, which at least one dictionary says is derogatory. For a long time I thought the word was STYX, the river of the underworld. It is derived from English, meaning sticks on the ground. Sometimes out of the way places are associated with mountains instead. Another phrase that is derived from English is “from the HILLS”. If the word had been derived from Spanish, we would say he’s “from the MONTES”. If it had been derived from German, we would say “from the BERGS”. If from Finnish, he’s “from the VORIES”. From Arabic, “from the “ALJABERS”. From Russian, he would be “from the GORAS”. From Japanese, “from the YAMAS”. From Indonesian, “from the GUNUNGS”. From Tagalog in the Philippines, “from the BOONDOCKS”. Hey, that one is a real English word. It’s the same as from the STICKS.
….Uh…But where’s the Italian? 😉🤷🏻♀️

Good morning. The only word I got instantly was cling. All the rest and even the cartoon answer took about the same time to sink in. Sticks and Stones may break my Bones but not this answer. I nailed it after finally realizing the hint was in the camper carrying the fire wood. Until tomorrow stay well.

Hiatus came to mind as I seemed to recall it being a recent anagram.The other words also seemed familiar,though the final collection of letters including only 2 vowels,one I for each word, was also problematic at first,but the first word ,being only 2 letters,had to be in,it,or at.The cartoon depicting a scene in the wilds,led to the final, in the sticks solution.

It happened again. The puzzle that prints out doesn’t include the word “the”. The only thing that prints out is 2 words, the 1st word with 2 letters & the 2nd word with 6 letters, but no “the” indicated anywhere. Can’t this problem be corrected so that the puzzles have all the correct information to solve them? Thank you.

I do know what you’re speaking of though… And the only help I can offer, is for you to contact the creator of the site you’re using. Voice your concern to them, and hopefully they can try and rectify the problem. And I do agree with you, that not having that connecting word can pose a problem. Hi all – I just happened to see HIATUS – no idea why – and then SCENIC would have taken longer if I didn’t always try IC at the end first. The answer could have been ON THE GROUND, but once I wrote the letters and saw that IN was the first word it showed the correct one.
Yes Angela, I didn’t see the little deer until I looked online; then it was my favorite part of the cartoon (not that there was too much competition).
