Good Morning, Everyone!      🪂  LEAP OF …FATE?  🪂

🎶 I’ll take you DOWN, I’ll take you DOWN…Where no one’s ever gone before..And if you want more…If you want more, more, more…Then JUMP…For my love…JUMP in… 🎶  “Jump” – The Pointer Sisters 1983

🪂 So picture this my female friends…it’s Leap Day and I ask,
If you’d consider jumping from a plane …Up to the task?
We’d gather in a SUITE somewhere the night before to meet,
Let’s choose that hotel with the old JALOPY on the street…
We’d all draw us a LETTER, alphabetically we’d jump,
This all sounds so exciting…and the thought’s got me real pumped…
….And if you think I’m serious..I’ll offer you quite gladly
A Bridge for sale in Brooklyn..’cause we’d both be acting MADLY ….
I thought Leap Year was one more day just for the hell of it…
But leap out of an airplane? Who of us has JUMPED AT IT? 🪂

Skydiving out of airplanes? Perish the thought..No, seriously…PERISH the thought…No way, Jose…Get real, McNeal, Won’t go, Geronimo…But I digress…Todays words…old favorites, last seen in late 2018, and throughout 2019, with just PLOJYA having made an appearance before…

So, it’s Leap Day, that one extra day we get every four years on February 29th. Why you may ask? Well it’s not all just fun and games…in fact, there’s some gravity to the situation…And chute…I really never knew…Or if I did, I guess I never gave it must weight…But anyway, today, we’re seeing two friends deciding to celebrate by Skydiving…Taking Leap Day to a whole new level, and just a little too literal if you ask me…But hey, to each her flown! Enjoy, Ladies…I’m guess I’m just not all that well-grounded…But these two? They JUMPED AT IT..

Eye candy…I’m going with the GoPro camera attached to the helmet of the girl at right. I guess she figured if she was gonna do it, she might as well leap at the chance to re-live it…So, There you have it Folks, Done! Have a great day, Everyone…And I’ll leave you with a little Skydiving humor…🪂🙋🏻‍♀️

A man always wanted to go skydiving, but was never able to gather the courage. So he goes to the local airport and inquires about what is involved in the jump. The manager explains the procedure to him — “We are expert parachute packers, and have never had a failure. We take you up in the plane and tell you when to jump out. You pull the main chute ripcord. It always works. But if it doesn’t, you pull the auxiliary chute ripcord. You then float softly to the ground, and we will meet you in that truck right over there.”

The man decides to go for it. The plane takes off and circles the airfield. He jumps out and after a brief moment of free fall, pulls the main chute, which fails. He then pulls the second ripcord and that fails as well. He looks down towards the ground and says to himself, “I bet that damned truck isn’t there either.”…Ba-Boom! 🤷🏻‍♀️

    • Hi David…it’s always such a pleasure to see you…As I’ve said before, it’s impossible for me to get through any of your videos without smiling along with you…Your genuine joy is contagious! And with all that’s going on in the world today, we can all use the smiles…But I’m wondering about Daisy…I couldn’t help but notice that the minute you mentioned my name…she took off like a bat out of hell! And we all know how sensitive a dog’s hearing is…Hmm…Should I be worried? 😂 Thanks again for thinking of us, David, and I’m hoping my little blurb might bring some additional puzzlers into the fold. The game’s amazing…(Now if I only had an in to getting my hands on some of those Bonus Hints..) 😉 Have a great Leap Day, David, and love to Claire! 😘🙋🏻‍♀️

      • Nice! Actually what happened was that Daisy Dog was balancing on my leg funny and she sort of fell off me. I don’t think you have anything to be worried about! Thanks again.

        • Hmm..I think you’re just trying to let me down as easily as you did her! 😉 But I’ll take your word for it…It’s just been a ruff week..and I’m sure I’m just barking up the wrong tree!😂 Have a good one, David. …And love to Daisy! 🐶🙋🏻‍♀️

  1. 🚗 From the window of the SUITE she could see the JALOPY, and she was MADLY in love with the LETTER perfect way it was decorated…and was so glad she had JUMPED AT IT when the opportunity to rent it for the wedding was offered…🚗

🚙 He bought the old JALOPY, with one LETTER on the plate,
And thought himself quite MADLY, but he knew it was his fate…
The SUITE that had been written to assure the engine purred,
Had worked out perfectly …and now left nothing to deter…
Him driving it and hopefully the others to outwit
Well worth the money, he was glad that he had JUMPED AT IT 🚙

  2. Good morning. Talk about an easy one for a Saturday. You blinked and you were done. When it came to the cartoon answer that was a blind solve. You could look at it as a confidence booster for Sunday’s jumble. I was all set to add “Drop the mike”to your joke Angela and then I realized you had it. Talk about bad luck. Until tomorrow stay well.

  3. It was a red LETTER day for the MADLY in love teenagers when they drove his JALOPY across the country to spend their first night of marriage in a deluxe hotel SUITE.

    • Good Morning, Chuck! 👏🏻👏🏻Nicely done! Not much wiggle room with Jalopy, right? 🤷🏻‍♀️

  4. You’re right, Angela. I’m not sure there’s ANY wiggling there at all. Hope your leap day is progressing nicely..

    • Definitely limiting…makes you WRECK your brain a little! But we didn’t BAIL OUT! 😉 My day’s going well, thank you…as I hope yours is too! Enjoy, Chuck! 🪂🙋🏻‍♀️

  5. I was looking forward to today’s puzzle because I figured it would have a Leap Day theme and Jeff & David didn’t disappoint. It was an easy one for sure but fun. Hope all of you have a Happy Leap Day and be sure to look before you leap! Ribbit! 🐸

    • Hi, Betty. Good Morning…Definitely a very easy puzzle…and of course cute and clever. It had that little something EXTRA! 😉 And I had you in mind when I wrote this this morning, since I remembered you’re no fan of heights either. 😱 And also thinking like you, I was curious of past Leap Days, so I went looking back at some old puzzles, and found the ones for the last 2. Both of them right on point! Have a great day, Betty…and your frog is perfect! 🪂🙋🏻‍♀️

2016: Regardless of when the Olympics were held, for the high-jumper it was…LEAP YEAR
2012: In a Leap Year, which months have 29 days? ALL OF THEM.

        • LOL! So do I …And all it took was for one of the Littles to hear it at school the other day, and now I think I’ve been subject to it at least 20 times over! …And of course I have to laugh each time as if it’s the first time I’m hearing it! ..But one wonders…we’re all related…Don’t they realize that I speak with all of them? 🤷🏻‍♀️ 😂😂🗓

  6. Hi all – The words were SUIIIITTTTEEE today, and the answer was obvious since “leap” was in the dialog and therefore the word was probably “jumped” and not “leaped”.
People will probably think that JALOPY is an old fashioned word, but I’m beginning to think that LETTER is becoming just as archaic. All those songs about writing every day and saving or returning letters probably wouldn’t be written now.

Have a great LEAP day, everyone!

“The Box Tops’ lead singer lept from his touring hotel SUITE, jumped into his JALOPY and MADLY raced home when his baby wrote him a LETTER”.

🎵”LETTERS from across the sea; roses dipped in sealing wax
Valentines and maple leaves, tucked into a paperback”🎵

And for a double dip of archaic:
🎵”I see you sent my LETTERS back
And my LP records and they’re all scratched”🎵

  8. Good evening Angela By the way, I’m at my youngest sons house and the burger joint with the different kinds of burgers is called Bare Burger on 7th Ave and 1st Street Brooklyn. Take care.

    • Hey Brooklyn…I’m still not sure if it’s the place I was thinking of. I’ll have to check with my friend…I think Bare Burger has a place in the city too? Enjoy the night, Paul! 🍔🙋🏻‍♀️

  9. I’m in CA and I miss Park Slope…You guys sometimes make me homesick! Hopefully, I’ll get to visit in the Spring.

    • Understandable. I know you definitely must miss the pizza! 🍕🍕!! Despite all our flaws, there’s something about Brooklyn that just stays with you. I don’t know if you’re on Facebook, but there’s a few Brooklyn pages that definitely take you back to happier times…And people share a lot of memories…Here’s to your wish coming true…Brooklyn in the Spring! Have a great night, and thanks for commenting. 🙋🏻‍♀️

  10. Thank you for your sweet reply to my comment about missing NY in general, and especially Brooklyn, and extra especially, the PIZZA!…Enjoy the remainder of your Sunday.

    • YVW. My heart goes out to those who left and miss what’s left behind…I always hated that “You can’t go home again”… Home is something inside, to which we can all return, as we want…as often as we want. That’s what memories are for…Again, hope your wish comes true…And I hope you’re enjoying your night too…Be well. 🙋🏻‍♀️
