Good Morning, Everyone! 🌉 I’LL BE BROOKLYN IT BACK TO YOU 🌉

🎶 If you’ve been a rover journey’s end lies over the BROOKLYN BRIDGE...Don’t let no one tell you I’ve been tryin’ to sell you the BROOKLYN BRIDGE…You’ll miss her most when you roam `cause you’ll think of her and think of home…The good old BROOKLYN BRIDGE…🎶 “The Brooklyn Bridge – Frank Sinatra 1947

🌉 The Brooklyn Bridge is magical…especially at night,
The lights shine ‘cross the city…so brazen and so bright
And even if it’s FOGGY, the lights can still be seen,
Like tiny little sky diamonds…the bluish and the green…
You’re free to walk across it too, and SLOWLY take it in
The spires that all dot the sky…a love affair begins…
You’ll see a NANNY with a child, a couple holding hands,
And bicyclists are pedaling by, while others chose to stand
And NYC looks PETITE when you’re up on the Bridge…
You hear the voices saying…”No, that section’s not Bay Ridge”…
I recommend it heartily, it’s worth it if you can…
Walk over this great bridge of ours and share its’ LONG LIFE SPAN 🌉

Ah, the BROOKLYN BRIDGE! I can’t get over it! So near and dear to my heart…And as beautiful as it is old.. The history behind it is so interesting, and it’s an amazing piece of engineering, especially considering the fact that it was built entirely during the horse and buggy days..And you can read all about it here….

N N N…And…look what I found…A new kid on the block! NANNY…Who would have guessed? But as surprising as it may seem, today marks its debut….Our other words…old favorites, having been seen here and there over the span of the last few years, but all three last appearing in 2018. And we’ve one repeat anagram, with GOYFG being in play just as is, back on 01/15/18A stumper? Nothing that drove them crazy, but PETITE stood up as Tiptoe to a few of the Early BirdsSo, since there’s not much more ground to cover here, let’s cross that bridge over to our cartoon…

I couldn’t begin to tell you how many times I’ve crossed the Brooklyn Bridge…So finding ourselves here today, atop the Bridge, drives home a lot of memories…We meet four Jumble characters…Two men, a woman, and what appears to a teenaged boy…perhaps three generations of a family, out together, bridging the generation gap. The older gentleman at left, is telling the younger one how LONG the Bridge took to be built, while the mention of “old” twice, once in the dialogue and again in our question, brings the reference of LIFE to the “old girl”. And our female character, capturing the SPAN of the bridge as a keepsake…well is there any SUSPENSION killin’ you with our solve today? I think not…The Brooklyn Bridge is one of a kind thanks to its LONG LIFE SPAN. And that’s the long and short of it!

Eye candy? Walking across the Bridge is eye candy alone. The views are breathtaking…But if you look real closely, you can see the image of the bridge fully captured across the lens of the phones’ screen…Perfect! So, There you have it Folks, Done! Have a great day, Everyone! And I think we all should love a bridge...they’re always so supportive…🌉🙋🏻‍♀️

  1. Good morning. I had the words right but spelled Petite wrong. Think I’d have trouble beating a 5th grader in a spelling contest. Whenever I did my reports for college there always was a Dictionary right next to me. Today again I had the cartoon answer right away because I saw Span and Long. That left me with Life and I’m doubting my answer. Until tomorrow stay well.

    • Good Morning, BROOKLYN…I think you beat me here today…I’m running way behind schedule this morning….Petite looked a little fugazy to some of my friends too this morning. It just may prove to be the stumper of the day. And I too saw the solve as soon as I read the puzzle.. Cute and clever as usual! Have a great day, Brooklyn…we’re getting a little bit of Spring back…Craziest weather…🌉🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🧵 Even though the specs for the new uniform pattern for the PETITE NANNY seemed FOGGY, she SLOWLY took another look at it, and realized it would need to be completely re-worked if it was to have a LONG LIFE SPAN…🧵🙋🏻‍♀️

  3. 🍼 The new NANNY was quite PETITE and both parents did worry,
Credentials great and she did try hard to their favor curry…
Deciding SLOWLY would be best, no FOGGY thoughts would do,
To leave their child with someone, so much that could ensue
But she did seem acceptable, and fit in with their plan…
To hire someone giving them help for a LONG LIFE SPAN 🍼🙋🏻‍♀️

    • The words were simple, the solve took a little longer. Played with fine, span, and goll. Saw long span and life dropped in. Unlike another post, PETITE was not my problem, four four letter words were. Single syllables with no “beat” .

  4. The NANNY goat, with her PETITE kid, had to stroll very SLOWLY through the FOGGY night to navigate safely back to their barn.

    • 👏🏻👏🏻! Good Morning, Chuck! Well played! I have a bit of redundancy in my efforts, but you’ve SPEED ahead and brought the Goat into it…Not BAAAAAD, not BAAAAAAD at all! You make me want to take a shot at the Goat too… no pun intended…Maybe I will…Wishing you a great day, Chuck! 🐐🙋🏻‍♀️

    • 🐐 Assigned to photograph the herd of NANNY goats, it’d been so FOGGY the past few days, that she had trouble seeing, and now she started to worry as she realized she was SLOWLY sinking into a muddy pond…she was much too PETITE for this kind of work…and now she knew it’d never work out as a LONG LIFE SPAN career…🐐
…I still like yours better, Chuck, 🙋🏻‍♀️

    • I also think your sentence is great today Chuck, especially using ‘kid’ with ‘nanny’.

  5. Another day of four double letter words. I think it makes for easier solving, which I’m not so sure is good.

    • You know, I never notice the double-letter things. I just go by the words as a whole. But very good observation…and thanks for bringing it FOURward! 😉🙋🏻‍♀️

  6. The fog was as thick as pea soup and the PETITE NANNY pushed her baby carriage ever so SLOWLY through the FOGGY mist to avoid a collision with other strollers.

    • BROOKLYN in the house!…In more ways than one! Bravo, Paul. I love it! You STROLLED right through it! 👏🏻👏🏻🙋🏻‍♀️

  7. N’s are wild today w nanny. And t’s with petite.I guess 2020, a repeat year,20-20,is the year of the repeat letters. As far as the Brooklyn Bridge, having gone to NYC for several week long Broadway show trips,I also have crossed the Brooklyn Bridge several times.

    • Good Morning, Professor. Yep, between the two of them, the consonants are out in full force! And I’m loving that you’ve crossed our Bridge! It’s truly a beauty! Have a great day, Prof! 🌉🙋🏻‍♀️

  8. Isn’t it funny that we were talking about the TV Program “Brooklyn Bridge” yesterday and today we have a puzzle with the actual Brooklyn Bridge in it. No problem with the words and cartoon solution. It is truly a magnificent structure. Ken Burns did a documentary about its construction and it was very very interesting. Have a good day Jumble friends.

    • LOL! Yes, it definitely it is! Good Morning, Betty. I too got a kick out of it! And the Ken Burns thing, I KNOW I recorded! 😉 I really love this bridge, and I even have 2 beautiful pieces of photography and art work of it hanging in my home. And I enjoyed walking it too….in my pre-vertigo days, that is! 😉 Today I’m content enough to just drive across it and still marvel at the views. Happy Saturday, Betty. Enjoy!

      • Never have trouble with the word foggy, Steve. We know the word up close and personal don’t we? However, at the moment, it’s bright and sunny in my neighborhood. Are you going to watch the Niners this afternoon or are you strictly a Raiders fan? I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they win and that it isn’t a heart stopper like the last game with Seattle. We’ll see!

        • Raiders who? You mean those Vegas guys? 😂 No, I’ve been watching the Niners since the days of John Brodie in the 70’s and saw all of the amazing run in the 80’s. In the days of local TV blackouts, I actually went to Fresno to watch a game on TV; possibly a Monday Night game. Let’s hope history doesn’t repeat 1987 for the Vikes! I am planning to watch this afternoon.

  9. Hi all – PETITE was the only word I paused at. Didn’t know the answer, but as soon as I wrote the letters I saw SPAN and got it.

I wondered whether the older guy was some kind of guide like a Park Ranger and if the area around the bridge is any kind of park with people like that — or are there just old guys walking around trying to sell it to you? 😂

Like Betty and Angela, I also saw Ken Burns first documentary when it aired on public TV, and everything about it completely blew my mind – the story of the struggles building it, the history leading to it, and the way the documentary itself was constructed. I taped it right away, and figured that there would have to be more from someone this talented, and I wasn’t disappointed.

    Have a great day, everyone!

“Caring for the three rambunctious boys took so much energy out of the PETITE NANNY that her mind was FOGGY as she SLOWLY struggled out of bed the next morning, fearing that she wouldn’t have a LONG LIFE SPAN if she kept this job”.

    • Hey Steve. No,. No guides, not needed. The bridge DRIVES home the message for itself! 😉 And if you look closely, you’ll see that he’s not wearing anything that would deem him official. Your sentence made me LOL! .Too funny! 👏🏻👏🏻..And we sure seem to have an over abundance of PETITE NANNYS today though, don’t we? 😉…No pun intended! Have a great day, Steve…Enjoy the game! 🌉🙋🏻‍♀️
