ANSWER:

WHEN THEY TALKED POLITICS WHILE RIDING HORSES TOGETHER, THEY – – –

NR AO AR NIC NE ODD = CARRIED ON AND ON

Good Morning, Everyone! ๐Ÿ—ณ๐Ÿด POLITICS…A TAIL OF WHOA? ๐Ÿด๐Ÿ—ณ

๐ŸŽถ Boy, you gotta carry that weight…CARRY that weight a long time. Boy, you gonna CARRY that weight…CARRY that weight a long time…๐ŸŽถ “Carry That Weight” – The Beatles 1969

๐Ÿ—ณ๐ŸดThe bedfellows of politics we know are definitely strange,
We’re seeing it right here today, with these guys on the range…
Complaints of council members UNSURE of just what counts,
And talking on and on and on while riding on their mounts
Today we have no PICNIC, it’s true… I’m not ABRUPT
Our politics in dire straits…who is/isn’t corrupt…
FIASCO often comes to mind, we’re way past time of CODDLE,
We’re hard-pressed teaching our kids there’s anyone to model
So these two guys we see today with talk meant to ENTICE,
They’re looking for some answers…but willing to pay the price?
They’ve reached their destination, their time for talking gone
But talk is cheap despite that they have CARRIED ON AND ON…๐Ÿด๐Ÿ—ณ

For a few reasons, it behooves me to rein it in this morning, and dispense with the horsing around. So I’ll cut right to the chase…Our words are all repeats, and all last seen in 2019. The mane thing though is that our anagrams are all new, and very well done, which caused a slight hitch or two with the Early Birds. Despite being spurred into action, one of them stalled on UNSURE while another two couldn’t corral their thoughts in to see FIASCO. I heard Social, and Fuchsia, and finally had to stop them because it was getting way pasture point of being funny, and I finally had to say…“Whoa“! Sometimes that unbridled enthusiasm so early in the morning is just a bit too much…

Ok, our cartoon…Two men, one in a red shirt, one in a blue, discussing politics while out riding their horses…One is still CARRYING ON about the sad state of affairs, while the other is surprised to see that they’ve already reached their destination. It seemed like a mare matter of minutes, since he was so engrossed in the conversation. He lost track of time…and all because while the horses carried them…they just CARRIED ON AND ON…Good one, David. You still rein supreme!

Eye candy? Neigh, not today. Except maybe for what could be an eye-rolling baleful look on each of the horses, I couldn’t stirrup the least little bit of candy to ride home about…So, There you have it Folks, Done. Have a great day, Everyone…and please note that there isn’t any party afillyation here today…I’m not looking to mount any campaign, so I’ll just stick with good old horse sense while I’m biden my time…because I’m definitely not looking to trump anybody…๐Ÿด๐Ÿ—ณ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

  1. I had to back into fiasco, which wasn’t easy. For the answer, I made no progress until I thought of on and on and ied for the ending of the first word.
Yesterday I enjoyed reading about Burma Shave. I can’t recall ever knowing about these fun little poems.
Angela, hope you are feeling better.

    • Good Morning,Caroline. You know, even though the solve came to me, and itโ€™s a clever one, I was thinking that itโ€™s a little broad, a little too vague. So I understand what you’re saying. It remains to be seen what our readers think about it. The Burma Shave jingles? Too funny..and Iโ€™m glad you enjoyed them. And thank you for asking…Iโ€™m feeling a little better. Not enough to get excited over yet, but at least itโ€™s not worse…๐Ÿ˜‰ Hoping you enjoy the sunshine thatโ€™s finally arrived! ๐Ÿด๐Ÿ—ณ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

  2. Hi all – Two words took me an extra look; saw NICE to get to ENTICE, and ABRUPT took a minute. No idea about the answer, but the only thing that fit the last three words was ON AND ON, and the rest of the letters showed CARRIED.

    Have a great day everyone!

โ€œAfter one of their guests CARRIED ON AND ON causing their last PICNIC to end in an ABRUPT FIASCO, they were UNSURE of how to ENTICE anyone to come to their next one without having to CODDLE his behaviorโ€.

    • Good Morning, Steve. Et tu? As I just told Caroline, there definitely may be some NEIGH-saying about this solve! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป Your sentence. ..And just donโ€™t invite the antagonist next time…I wouldnโ€™t let anybody REIN on my parade more than once! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Have a great day, Steve! ๐Ÿด๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

  3. Doing it pieceMEAL this morning! ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

๐Ÿฅฃ UNSURE whether or not to CODDLE the eggs for the PICNIC, she wondered if a dish like this would ENTICE anyone over to her table…and she CARRIED ON AND ON with the thought, knowing that itโ€™d be a FIASCO if anyone was ABRUPT enough to criticize her…๐Ÿฅฃ

    • Hi David…As always good to see you. I was hoping you might be home for good, but I trust things are going as well as can be expected. Thanks for taking the time out from all that youโ€™ve got going on to think of us, youโ€™re very kind. And itโ€™s greatly appreciated. So while you and all the other Jetson fans wait for those flying cars, it might be a good idea to jot down that 2020 on the whole book of checks…Just sayinโ€™! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Take care, love to Claire, and the best of thoughts for your parents. Happy New Year, and be well. ๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

  4. …I think sheโ€™s HORSE from complaining about him! ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ ABRUPT and sometimes downright rude, he made her feel UNSURE
The thought that a FIASCO loomed not what sheโ€™s looking for…
And life with him no PICNIC, despite her tries to CODDLE
Heโ€™s not a child, thereโ€™s no need to pamper and to swaddle…
Thereโ€™s not much left to ENTICE with …she thinks sheโ€™ll soon be gone
He really did it this time…as he CARRIED ON AND ON ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

  5. Good afternoon. Jumble took me hours to do today. I had a heck of a time with three of the words and finally gave up on Fiasco. The cartoon answer also gave me a boat load of trouble but I finally sailed the storm and came up with the correct punch line. Hope your feeling better Angela. Until tomorrow stay well

    • Hey Brooklyn…The boat load and sailing the storm! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป Well played, Sir! Playing the sailor card! You gave me a chuckle! Kudos for staying with it. And thank you for asking about this crazy head of mine…I think just seeing the sun is helping. Hope your dayโ€™s going well. Enjoy, Brooklyn! ๐Ÿด๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

  6. Fiasco & Abrupt have tripped me up in the past but got them today. I too figured out “on and on” first so carried fell into place but it wasn’t a given. Hope you continue to improve, Angela. Happy Sunday to all. I’m “undecorating” my home today.

    • Ack! The redecorating day! Itโ€™s a tough one! The barren look, the re-adjusting, the lack of red! LOL…Iโ€™m not looking forward to it! …And I saw thought the on and on first too…It was a bit of an odd solve. But it looks like we all weathered the storm as Paul would say. And thank you, Iโ€™m getting my sea legs back…๐Ÿ˜‰ Hope itโ€™s all going well…๐Ÿด๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

  7. After I solved today’s Jumble, I had a hard time reconciling the answer with the cartoon. It does happen once in a while and the replies here may help me “get it”. The comments today did not help. I looked at the cartoon again. The horses seem to be making very disgruntled faces and it made me think the first “they” referred to the riders and the second “they” to the horses which (to me) made sense of the solve.
