Good Morning, Everyone!            🦅🐶DOG-GONE IT!🐶🦅

🎶SUSPICION…torments my heart, SUSPICION…keeps us apart…SUSPICION…why torture me..🎶 “Suspicion” – Terry Stafford 1964

🦅🐶 If I had to write the story, if I had to be the SCRIBE,
Of how they stole my PATIO…I can’t even describe.
Like some strange act of FUSION, they flocked above my deck,
And built an actual condo…followed by their ruin and wreck…
My property became theirs…like a VIPER each of them,
I’m not sure if they were robins, or maybe they were wrens,
They moved right in and left my deck in terrible condition,
There’s no way they could try to cop to be ABOVE SUSPICION! 🐶🦅

Our WORDS of a Feather have flocked together this morning, with all of them being old favorites. And while each has appeared many times over the years, I found only one anagram to be a true Sweet Repeat. Way back on December 8th, 2011, we saw TOPIA, and it almost flew by me as I was searching…Let’s face it, Folks, after a while I just find myself saying….”Nest, nest, nest…” as I go through the Archives. Anyway, PATIO takes on the role of the oldest of our words, while VIPER comes in as our newest, being the only one of our four words to have appeared this year. Ok, now let’s take a swipe at our cartoon…

David must like birds. I do remember him telling us in one of his friendly videos that he was an animal lover, only I’m not sure if he mentioned birds too. But they sure seem to show up in his puzzles a lot…todays’ is the 4th one we’ve had in the past two months. Not that there’s anything wrong with that – It’s just that I’m not the biggest fan. I guess you could say it’s one of my PECK peeves…Anyway, today we find ourselves embroiled in a bit of a SOARdid affair. Today we’re dealing with the likes of a ROBBER Ducky. Or a ROBIN Hood…or a COCKATIEL who steals…We see a man, seaside, with his dog, thinking he was about to enjoy a Hot Dog. But unbeknownst to him, a Seagull’s swooped down and made off with the Dog, and his dog’s left to take the WRAP. But the Seagull’s getting away with it...In more ways than one! He didn’t think he’d get caught, figuring our guy’d be SUSPICIOUS of/and blame his dog…and he was right. Because our not-so-fine-feathered fiend was able to fly off and rise ABOVE SUSPICION…Good one, David…but poor Fido…having all that suspicion unLEASHed on him…

Eye candy? Blue sky and sea…The wooden picnic table holds a plate, with the empty Hot Dog bun and a side of chips. Fido, staring upward, has a look of incredulousness…since he’s unfairly taking the COLLAR, our guy has a look of…well, FRANKly, anger…and the Sea GULLty one? Look closely…he’s grinning while he’s clenching that Hot Dog in his beak…He’s RELISHing the whole thing…Oh, and one more note…It looks like someone’s stolen the sinking sailboat right out from UNDER our noses! So, There you have it, Folks, Done! Have a great day, Everyone. And remember…Things aren’t always as simple as what MEATs the eye…🦅🐶🙋🏻

🍂🍁 AND….A BIG WELCOME TO THE BEAUTY OF NOVEMBER 🍁🍂

  1. Since I’m STEAL up, I may as well print this out..,🦅🙋🏻

🤷🏻‍♂️At a private meeting out on the PATIO, the literati referred to him as a VIPER, since after choosing him as their SCRIBE, his odd FUSION of ideas failed to leave him ABOVE SUSPICION 🤷🏻‍♂️

🐍 The Pet Shop had a VIPER, the first he’d ever seen,
He stared at it all coiled up, the color a bright green…
Beyond the shop, the PATIO where men would often sit,
They looked a tad unsavory, a SCRIBE would dub them it…
He’d overheard them speaking, a FUSION of wild thoughts,
And he began to wonder just where were these reptiles bought..
Was he involved with smugglers? Caught up in some wild mission?
He best find out because these guys don’t look ABOVE SUSPICION 🐍

  2. Good morning. I went back to yesterday’s and realized I never posted. I looked at it briefly but was on the run and never got back. Today I left it to go to 9:00am mass and found out they only have one at 12:00pm. Angela have to give you the gold for today’s song pick. It’s one of my favorites, use to blast it when I played my records and tease my wife while I sang along. Took a little time today but I finished both parts. Until tomorrow stay well.

    • Good Morning, Brooklyn. Been there, done that…it happens. I went to 7 o’clock. Nice Mass, short and sweet!! Thanks for the Shout Out, glad you enjoyed it. I always liked this song too. A lot of people prefer Elvis’s version, but I like this better. Go back and do y’day puzzle if you have time, it was a good one. Have a great day, Brooklyn! Watch out for these winds! 💨💨🙋🏻‍♀️

  3. Hi all – The words and answer just came to me today, although I’d say SCRIBE was the hardest.
My first thought on the cartoon is that it’s the *guy* should know better – the dog wouldn’t have left the bun or anything else on the plate. In fact, he might have eaten the plate!

I agree, great song, Angela! Haven’t thought about that one in ages. “Relishing” gave me a laugh also.

Have a great day, everyone. Got leftover Halloween candy to finish up?

    • Hmm. Maybe he’s cut out carbs? 😉 It’s a PAWSible explanation.😉 Glad you liked the song…He never became the success he should have tho… guess the timing was off…Did you notice towards the end of the video, what was behind them on the left? Go take a look..Have a great day, Steve! Thanks for the Shout Out! 🦅🐶🙋🏻‍♀️

      • Do you mean the “Meet The Beatles” album? Nice touch, but it feels like a harbinger of the end of acts like his. The whole interview was a nice touch, a real time capsule of how that time felt.
All I can think though, is that it must have taken two entire tubes of Brylcreem to keep that hairdo in place – a “little dab” would never have been enough for that!

        • My point exactly. That’s what I meant by the “timing being off”.His hair, yeah…in fact if you read down in the comments, it’s mentioned. Hence the term…”Greaser” 😉🙋🏻‍♀️

          • I was just reading the wikipedia article about him, and it certainly confirms this: “’Suspicion’ had the distinction of being sixth on the Billboard Hot 100 on April 4, 1964, when the Beatles held down the top five spots.”
I believe that was the stretch when the Beatles held the top five singles spots and the top five album spots at the same time; an amazing feat.

            • Yeah, A given…the invasion was in full force. And I guess the constant comparison to Elvis didn’t help much either. Shame tho, nice guy…and then he died so young. 🤷🏻‍♀️

              • I was really impressed by Dick Clark – one of the first things he asked in his interview was what the unusual sound was on the record. Stafford said it was an organ, but wikipedia shows that it’s an “Ondioline”, and its story is very interesting:
