Happy Tuesday, Jumble friends! Today’s puzzle wasn’t much of a challenge, but David pleasantly surprised us with a new clue word in CROWD. We’ve seen the plural form of the word as the cartoon answer on 11/01/08, but it was so long ago that I highly doubt anyone would remember seeing it. Of the remaining three jumbles, SLUPH is the only that we’ve come in contact with before. Once solved, PLUSH became our most recently used clue word while INCOME showed up roughly three months earlier on 6/17/18. None of the anagrams managed to ruffle my feathers so I clocked in early and headed over to the cartoon.

Today’s panel featured four Jumble characters that were well dressed and impeccably groomed. The setting was an office and we happen upon two employees in the back exchanging dialogue. The gentleman on the left is utterly impressed by the drip of his coworkers while the woman on the right explains that it was the intern that raised the bar. This young hotshot is so well dressed that he either comes from a very wealthy family, or it’s time for the company to re-examine its intern pay scale!

The final solve was an anagram consisting of 12-letters and would transform into two words. Although the layout kept the solution well hidden, the cartoon and dialogue brought the answer instantly to mind. I’ll savor my win for the day and be poised to pounce on a harder puzzle that will no doubt come our way later in the week.   2. Good Good morning. Now today’s jumble should have been yesterday. Talk about easy. I don’t think I even had time to blink before it was all done. The cartoon answer was a blind solve. It was a cleaver answer and not just because I got the instant read. Until tomorrow stay well or, I get another inspiration. Whichever comes first.

  3. The INCOME generated from the CROWD which came to see the PLUSH display later turned out to be FAULTY as someone had deliberately inflated the numbers.

    ° With the generous INCOME he generated from correcting FAULTY wiring jobs, he stood out in the CROWD with his PLUSH lifestyle, making the others wish they had FOLLOWED SUIT.

    🍕The CROWD was slowly gathering, the venue PLUSH and bright,
    He figured this time he’d clean up…it should be quite a night…
    He so needed the INCOME, past performances being FAULTY,
    The criticism ran quite high…his pizza was too salty…
    He tasted all the others, but the point would become moot…
    He’d just cut the salt completely…so they’d see he FOLLOWED SUIT 🍕

  5. Hi all – INCOME looked ominous until I quickly saw the ‘IN’, but FAULTY took the longest despite the Y going at the end as usual. The answer seemed obvious.

  6. I can’t believe this morning I looked at the puzzle and the words just came to me. I did go back to solve the words to see if I was correct and income took more time.

Agree an easy breezy Mon puzzle on a Tuesday,but w yesterday being a holiday,today is similar to a Monday first week day.Speaking of being well dressed for work,the casual dress Fridays eventually covered all work days,to the demise of men’s clothing stores.We used to have 3 men’s clothing stores on the square,now we’re lucky to have one.
