Good Morning, Everyone!           🚀IN…DIA SPACE RACE?🚀

🎶If I could give it all awayI’d do it just for one more day, Trade it in for one more moment…Tell you what I never told yaAll the things I left unsaid…🎶 “Satellite” Nickelback 2014

🚀 I’m thinking from the likes of this, UTOPIA is sought,
I have to say I’m unaware of what today has brought…
It looks like SALAD days had then arrived with India’s spate,
To launch the greatest number of satellites to date.
Do other countries now COVET what India has wrought?
Did anybody FALTER when they also launching sought?
Today I have no answers, but to not leave you in doubt,
I will enclose a link I found…so no one’s left SPACED OUT! 🚀

Mike and I both got tied up this morning, so this may not be the usual fare…I’m going to look up our words as soon as I get a chance, but I can tell you that the big stumper of the day, UTOPIA is not new to Jumble play. In fact it wasn’t all that long ago that it appeared, June 18th, 2018 to be exact. But it sure looks like it’s got a lot of our readers staring into SPACE…Ok, considering how late it is, I’m going to get right to our cartoon..

As I stated in my rhyme, I’m unfamiliar with today’s theme, so I can’t really speak much on it. The link I’m providing here, pretty much explains it all. But what we do see, are two very excited Indian gentlemen, preparing to watch the launching into SPACE of a rocket holding 104 Satellites.…And with that many aboard, they’ll definitely need to be SPACED OUT! The why, the wherefore? It’s OVER MY HEAD, Folks…But I will tell you that I see a black and white Rocket, on a launch pad, and a ground of green Earth. And the eye candy? The bearded gentleman is wearing a JACKET that I remember as a kid being called a NEHRU JACKET . I haven’t seen one in a long, long time…So, There you have it, Folks, short and sweet. Have a great day, Everyone! And may we all LIGHT up our little corners of the WORLD! 🚀🙋🏻

PS: UPDATE ON TODAY’S WORDS… All old favorites…COVET goes way back to 03/24/14 though, while our other two are both from 2018, just as UTOPIA is. FALTER from August 5th, and SALAD serves up as out FRESHEST entry, with its last appearance being November 20th. And our masterful anagrams are all new…🚀🙋🏻

  1. Good morning. I see I’m in the majority with the hardest word. In fact,I gave up and looked while checking to make sure the others were correct. The cartoon answer took a little time because I kept seeing Update and it was hard to get it out of my head. Until tomorrow stay well.

    • Good Morning, Brooklyn….I can see how UPDATE got stuck in your head…Since I do the cartoon first, I didn’t realize that writing down the letters would show UP ATE..I bet you’re not the only one one either…Hope you’re having a good day! 🚀🙋🏻

  2. Paul I’m with you. That word goes against all letter pairings we both seem to be familiar with; the solve is easy. Even after that, placing needed letters in the anagram, remains difficult.

  3. I’m baaack – So,looked up the word. Familiar with the expression ” It’s Greek to me”? well, in this case, it is. We’re both more used to Mid-European Latin based words.

    • I’m sure we had that word before and I failed that time I believe. I was just an average student in grammar school and had to study just to pass. Once I lucked out and beat the brain in class with a 98 I believe. I was so excited that I talked to everybody and had to be good for a week otherwise the test would have been a zero. This wasn’t even catholic school. A lot different nowadays.

      • Good Morning, Brooklyn…Last time? It just caused you a slight tic…your words. I’m going to link it to the post above as soon as I get a chance…🙋🏻

    • Hi Jamu. Yes, it does have a Greek origin…but it’s not all that unfamiliar a word…But it sure is taking its toll today! Masterful anagram…🙋🏻

    • I DID go to Catholic elementary, my knuckles still hurt! I was a bit of a problem (a incessant talker) & sister’s favorite target. But, still have fond memories of then. Never an altar boy & don’t miss that. Big thing was boy scouts; sure you were too, camp was great , right?

      • Agree on Catholic grade school,my wife and I were bith 8 grade grads of Catholic elementary schools and each of our 3 children as well as 4 grandkids were also grads or are currently attending Catholic elementary school.

        • Hey Professor…I’m Catholic school educated from Kindergarten through college…I have a million stories! 🙄🙋🏻

  4. Once again, UTOPIA gave me trouble. I had to back into it as well as FALTER.
I never thought about how satellites got up there, but now I know. I also didn’t know about India launching them.

    • Good Morning, Caroline..UTOPIA is definitely not PERFECTION today, is it? 😉 And as for the Satellites? Makes two of us! I don’t think I’ve ever given it a second thought….Learn something every day…Have a good one! 🚀🙋🏻

  5. Another one here who spaced out on Utopia. I know it’s tripped me up before – too many vowels. Figured out the cartoon answer and worked backwards but at least I finally got it. I too didn’t know about India launching satellites. After all the coverage about the anniversary of going to the moon last week, I just re watched “The Right Stuff” – super good movie. Happy Thursday to all.

    • Good Morning, Betty. Jump on up…the bandwagons’s not full yet! 😂 You know, I keep trying to remember what I was doing back in February 2017, that could have kept me from knowing about this. I have absolutely no recollection whatsoever. How strange. And to think that all but 8 of the Satellites belonged to us? Even stranger! Anyway, Kudos for sticking with the puzzle, and emerging victorious! And now you’ve put a bee in my bonnet…I may just watch the movie again too. It’s been a long time…Have a great day, Betty. Enjoy! 🚀🙋🏻

    • Betty…Forgot to mention …Spaced Out on Utopia? 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Nice! 😉🙋🏻
