As Kennedy went forward with his wants and hopes to meld…

And people in the crowd began applauding and to shout.
And men dressed in their suits and ties with women CALICO clad…
Probably thought IRONIC all these brand new thoughts he had.
And thinking of the man right now, this man who died too soon…
I wonder what I would have felt when he PROMISED THE MOON 🚀🌛
IRONICally, after using the two half MOON emojis to open my post, I find that half of our words this morning aren’t showing up in the Archives. UPHELD, CALICO, and BEHALF may all prove to be part of David’s new PROMISED listing...As for our other three words, STODGY goes way back to 08/08/11 becoming our oldest, while IRONIC‘s last appearance was as recent as 02/24, making it our newest. And HAMMER was last in game play on 10/29/18. As to any degree of difficulty, two Early Birds paused momentarily at UPHELD, while one was stymied by CALICO. So now, with a tap on the SPACE bar…on to our cartoon…

Good Morning, Everyone…Good Morning, Paul and Chuck…These words gave me grief. While I didn’t see any problem in rhyming for the Jumble-themed poem, for some reason both this poem and the sentence had me re-writing more than once. I just couldn’t blend the words
easily, and I went back and forth on a topic..But here it is…I LANDED on my feet, bit it was a bumpy RIDE! 🌜🚀🙋🏻

Hi Suzanne…The Jumble creators use only the Merriam Webster Dictionary to validate the words they choose for the puzzles. Although there may be an alternate word found somewhere else, most often it proves to be a rather obscure one, and they try very hard to avoid such words. Hi all – BEHALF took extra time after seeing ABLE, FLEA(BAG) and FEEBLE, but then I saw the HALF. The answer avoided saying THE MOON so that was a given, and the first word had to end in ED, so I wrote the remaining letters and saw PROMISED. That gave me the letters for CALICO, but it still took quite awhile to back into it.

Oh…Did the pic of Kennedy open up full screen on your end too? I tried so hard to reduce iit, but I wasn’t having much luck at 5 AM…I thought to SCRUB the mission altogether, but it’s such a great picture of him, and obviously where Jeff drew his inspiration…🙋🏻
