  1. Good morning. I see like a lot of people that the hardest word was Canola. I have it in my pantry but it’s the last one I use. I guess that’s why it took me so long to get. It’s basically the one I use when I’m out of the others. I had Canalo down right away but it didn’t register to switch the A and O for almost ten minutes. The cartoon answer was no problem once I had the letters down and actually saw the solution in the jumbled letters. Until tomorrow stay well.

  2. Good morning again especially Angela and Mike. The BIKER was DIMLY coherent after having a three way collision with the truck drivers of a CANOLA and RAISIN truck.

    • Good Morning, Brooklyn! πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ» I left you a message last night. πŸ™‹πŸ»

  3. I was able to guess the panel answer first. That helped me solve the other jumbled words.

  4. One must BEAR IN MIND that the DIMLY cerebral BIKER knew exactly what he was doing when he poured CANOLA oil over his RAISIN based breakfast.

  5. Good morning puzzlers
Canola was my most difficult word. Though I’d heard it before, mostly on cooking shows, I’m unfamiliar with it. I stayed with it because of it’s consonant-vowel sequences and got lucky.

  6. Good Morning, Everyone! I’m still MINDing the store, and even though I BEARly have time, I caught a quick break…Wishing you all a great day…πŸ»πŸ™‹πŸ»

Β° After they told her to use CANOLA oil in the RAISIN bread, she held a DIMLY lit view of their culinary skills…but then her cousin said…”BEAR IN MIND, Ange, they’re BIKERS, not bakers”!

Β° I hardly use CANOLA oil, it’s not nutrient rich,
I’d rather stick to Olive Oil when cooking meat and fish…
I look pretty much DIMLY on different kinds of oil,
I’m picky and I’m choosy when I in my kitchen toil.
I once catered a picnic for a local BIKER group,
And started off with cups of cold tomato-RAISIN soup,
The picnic was a great success, a real one of a kind…
And it was my first picnic, and with bikers BEAR IN MIND!

    • Okay Angela I have another Crossword I could not figure out. The theme of the puzzle is Vertical Drop so all the clue answers are in the down columns. 30 down is DOWNANDOUT from the clue, Destitute, or a hint to what was deleted from each starred answer. The starred answers are as follows…STINGORDER, ROYALMATE, and BRINGIRON. So something is missing from these answers. I figured it was OUT such as ORDER OUT and IRON OUT. But no MATE OUT?

      • Hi Clay. You know I’m not familiar with these puzzle, so I have to ask..Do the words have to have the exact same letters? Because if not, could it be METE OUT..you know, as in alloting? As in meting out punishment?? πŸ€”πŸ™‹πŸ»

      • No, it’s Mate. I think a letter or letters are missing from each answer but they would be the same letter or letters for each answer, thus DOWN referring to the words going in a downward manner in puzzle and OUT referring to something left out.

        • Clay…I didn’t see your second email…But I think I came up with the same thing you’re saying…
          Yes? πŸ€”πŸ™‹πŸ»

      • Clay..Changing tacks….”AND”..It’s omitted from the answers? StANDing Order, Royal mANDate, BrANDing Iron? πŸ€”

      • Wow, you are something else. Yes, DOWN….AND…OUT. And is out! Now I know you are a MENSA member or should be. Thank you again!

        • Totally ROTFL! How’d you know? I’ll let you in on the joke…Growing up, my whole family called me MENZA MENZ…..Real Italian slang for “half and half”! They told me 3 different stories…My Mother said it was because I drove her crazy…she swore I was “half” nuts…My maternal Grandmother told me it was because I wasn’t milky white like her side of the family…and my Father’d laugh at them both …and tell me not to listen to either one of them…That “IF” anything…maybe I had only “half” the spirit of a girl, because I refused to wear a dress, and played ball better than any boy in the neighborhood! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. You can’t make this stuff up!!! They’re all gone now, but my brothers and cousins got the nerve to wonder why I’m a little “odd” today! LOL! And a handful of them still call me ..Menza Menz! It’s ok with me…I figure I always had the best of both worlds! πŸ˜‚ ..Anyway, you’re very welcome, any time, and thanks for the memory, Clay, it made me happy…and thank you very much for the Shout Out. I just seem to have the freakiest relationship with words…πŸ” πŸ™‹πŸ»

      • Well, at least I got the one titled INNER VOICE and the words were FINALTOUCH, VIRTUALTOUR, SIGNALTOWER, and DENTALTOOL. ALTO is the inner voice inside each answer. These are fun and challenging sometimes.

        • My mail’s coming in with a delay..i didn’t see this until just now…Clay…Don’t even go there! Saying “at least”….don’t diminish your ability. These puzzles don’t sound easy at all. I applaud your prowess here…they seem like quite a challenge. It’s seems like a combination of wording, wit, and whimsy…A lethal combination when it comes to writing…I know! What I always called the “3W’s”! ( Now how’s that for a Mensa offering)? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Genius, huh?…LOL! And they really do sound like fun…I might just have to add them into my bag of tricks! ALTO..Inner voice! It’s brilliant!!πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ™‹πŸ»

      • These are the two Crossword Puzzles I do everyday, One is the USATODAY…https://puzzles.usatoday.com/ The other is the Universal Daily Crossword but I get it on Uclick which you cannot get normally…http://www.uclick.com/client/bos/fcx/
Like I have said before, there is no site like you and Mike have for JUMBLE to explain the mystery clues to these puzzles. There are only sites that give you the answers which anyone can get anyway on the Crossword site itself by clicking on SOLVE! They don’t even have a comments section where people can discuss the answers which sets your site apart from all the others. I do them, like I do the Jumble to keep my mind sharp everyday and they also help with Live Trivia questions sometimes!

        • Clay..I got involved in a few other things, and saw this late. It was lying in the pending file..Maybe because of the links. It rarely happens, so I think that must be it. I had to give it an approval to kick it through…But other things came up, so I’m just getting to answer you now…Sorry. Thank you for the Shout Out, and I agree…As you said, just getting the answers is boring…the “excitement” is in the details. And Mike and I love searching for the little gems! πŸ˜‚ As for the comments it’s a lot of fun…I’m totally with you as far as other puzzles go also..I agree 100%, they’re all so important for keeping one’s mind sharp. And I think I remember you telling me that you enter into Bar Trivia Contests, right? Now that I would love…I’m going to look into the links you’ve sent…I’m always up for another challenge…it’s just the time I can’t seem to get under my belt…I’m always juggling! πŸ˜‰πŸ™‹πŸ»

  7. Blind solve, cruised through the first two words, then hit the wall at CANOLA and RAISIN. Worked it out, though!

  8. I too struggled with canola. Had to back into it. Everything else fell into place easily. Happy Friday to all of you.. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed for the Warriors tonight, Steve. Would like to see you sweep the confetti off your porch one more time.

    • Thanks Betty! A lot depends on the injuries for both teams, but yes, after this year, it’s you who will have to deal with the confetti (unless the winds through the Golden Gate are *really* strong!)

      • I’m with you Steve, I’ve admired the Warriors & their sweeps but their “Curry
Strut” has driven me to want their comeuppance. I’ll be watching & cheering with you.
        Jamu

        • Hi Jamu – I’m still rooting for the Warriors; my comment to Betty was just referring to the fact that after this year, they’ll be moving from my city and playing in hers.
I’ve been enjoying reading your comments. Nice to see some new people (you and others) joining in the fun here!

        • Oh..no..Is this to be the end of a beautiful friendship? πŸ’” Is someone disparaging my Boy Steph? My Cutie Patooie? Say it ain’t so, Joe! I’ll give you that he might get a little cocky now and then…but the man’s under a lot of pressure.. Can’t be easy carrying an entire team on your shoulders…Ok, deep.breath…Jamu…lie to me…Tell me you were just joking! πŸ˜‚ πŸ€πŸ™‹πŸ»

  9. Hi all – The answer was obvious from the cartoon. The last two words both gave me trouble. RAISIN just appeared after a couple of minutes; no idea why. Then CANOLA took the longest. Backing into it didn’t help, and even when I saw it, I thought it was wrong because I thought it was spelled CANNOLA.

    Have a great day, everyone!

β€œThe BIKER was about to run out of energy when he DIMLY recalled the CANOLA RAISIN muffin in his pack”.

    • PS – It’s worth going online to see the bear lurking in the bushes just above the sign!

      • πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ» …And more obvious in the black and white version…With the colorized one, because he’s shaded beige, just like the background terrain….he’s BEARly visible! πŸ˜‰πŸ»πŸ™‹πŸ»

  10. CANOLA’s definitely a LANDSLIDE today….Gives all new meaning to the saying…”OIL’S well that ends well”‘ ….πŸ˜‰πŸ™‹πŸ»

  11. Hi Everyone –
Love the waving bear. Got the answer and was able to back into RAISIN and CANOLA, but I was worried because canola is not in my old Webster’s.

  12. Canola was a tough one, looked through 2 crossword puzzle dictionaries not listed in either one

    • Hi Danil…The Jumble creators use only the Merriam Webster Dictionary to validate the words they choose for the puzzles. What I find easier, and also affords me more options, is to Google any word I may be unsure of. I hope this helps. Thanks for commenting and we hope you’ll continue to do so in the future…Have a great night, Danil! πŸ™‹πŸ»

  13. Angela
Oils well that ends well? Ouch!!
Have a great day & stop raisin cane
    Jamu

    • Yea…That’s me, alright! Always RAISIN cane! LOL! πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ» Good one!…And if the OIL pun didn’t make you groan, I’d feel like I wasn’t even FRYING! Wishing you a great day too, Jamu! πŸ™‹πŸ»
