But just like many others, we yell, we hop, we frown…
Because we’ll all be buying more soon as we GET AROUND TOWN! ⭕️
Except for OXYGEN, which has appeared only once before in 2017, our other words have been AROUND for quite a while. TYCOON goes back to 2015, while DOUBT, making its 11th appearance, has RUN from 2014 thru June 2nd, 2018, making it our newest entry. And WEARY, going as far back as April 2014, comes in as not only our oldest entry, but also the only one of words today that shows up as a repeated anagram. But the good MONEY today is on TYCOON…It had a few of the Early Bird Boys going in CIRCLES….
Today’s puzzle takes a bit of a different ANGLE…Brought to a fictitious community which I’ve dubbed SPHERE, we’re introduced to a group of citizens named the CIRCLES. How long they’ve been in existence is unknown, but from all reports, they seem to be a well-ROUNDed group. The dialogue of our two main characters CENTERs AROUND them boarding the approaching bus. And with Public Transportation being our topic, we’re asked why the CIRCLES needed to build one. Which brings us to our solution, an almost RADIIculously easy one…They built it to…GET AROUND TOWN. Good one, David. ON TRACK as always…
Ok, eye candy. My first thought was how ironic, that while looking to find eye candy, I see that our two main characters look so much like M&Ms. A nice trEAT. I’ve dubbed the smaller one, who’s yellow, Archie, ARC for short. He sports a goatee. The larger one, ELLIPSE, who goes by Eli, is green and is seen carrying a briefcase. A ROUND briefcase. I think he’s a Professor, well known for grading on the CURVE. The back of our panel shows 3 purple homes, which may be Condos. Besides them, stands what appears to be a taupe apartment building. And behind Eli and Arc is a purple building which may be a restaurant. But there’s something drawn that I can’t wrap my head AROUND. Farthest back in the panel is a Bullseye-looking image, which I can’t identify. If anyone can get a BEAD on it, I welcome your suggestions. The approaching CIRCLE LINE bus is blue, and inside we see an operator wearing a peaked cap, and a passenger wearing ear buds. There’s a manhole cover in the bus’s path. But I’m going to go with the bus stop sign atop the pole next to Eli. It shows arrowed directions for a ROUNDABOUT! Toto, I think we’re in Indiana! So, There you have it Folks, Done! Tycoon was also my hardest word. It didn’t come to me until I took my dog outside for a walk, as often happens. I wondered about its origin, as it doesn’t seem like a typical Latin-based word. I looked it up in the dictionary and found that it came from the Japanese word, taikun.
Great choice on the song, Angela. The Sinatra song, Cycles, crossed my mind, but “I Get Around”
is almost the exact phrase. I noticed how trim Brian was in that video, as opposed to later years.

A lot of times, I’m trying hard to think of an answer to something. Then I leave it alone and go do something else, and suddenly the answer pops into my head out of nowhere. It’s as if I have a little librarian deep in my subconscious that continues researching and then sends up the answer. My dog really has nothing to do with it. If she found out this was going on, she would ask for royalties! 🐱👤

Good morning. Thought it was a great jumble today. I was stuck on the last two words and jumped to the cartoon. It was a blind solve and checking the six letters I needed to make the answer happen,I knew I had to have GONTON. It still took me some time to get those two words. Darn proud that I didn’t give up. Angela,terrific job as always. Your use of the words topped off with the two songs were enjoyable. Years ago I saw the play with my wife and loved every minute. My oldest one who was trying to become a successful actor got us into plays and it opened up a whole new form of entertainment. It is an expensive form of entertainment but the actors deserve whatever they get. There is a lot of hard work that goes into the production. Until tomorrow stay well.

The irony here is that the circles are catching the bus in the town square to go get a square meal. (Old Alpo commercial – “How do they get a SQUARE MEAL in a ROUND CAN?”)
I thought the round building looked like the Marina towers in Chicago and therefore that the bulls-eye was a ferris wheel, but the solid look also makes me think it’s a donut shop. 🎵”I am a waitress in a donut shop…I give him the time; he gives me his dime”🎵
